Locke Leed
Since no one wants to comment on my Leader cards and all they seem interested in doing is breaking the game with over-powered fantasy monsters I thought that I would create a card using one of my new rules that I'm going to make in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Remix card game. Can anyone look at this effect and tell me the draw backs (besides it screws lock down decks)? Card Text: "Whenever a player plays a card, they may draw a card. If a card is drawn this way, that player cannot draw a card during their next draw phase. Destroy this card if another "Motivated Clarity" enters play." So what could be the draw backs of this??? Would the draw backs be the same if it was a 60 card deck?YCM is super laggy and it posted this 3 times. Sorry everyone! I clicked "post" and it just sat there... So I clicked it again... Anyways, comment on this one
FindingTheEverlight
Basically, it's a card that allows you to draw when anyone activates any time of card. From top to bottom: First thing, it seems like it should be a field spell instead of continuous. Because it effects both players. Second thing, pretty cool picture Third thing, nice set number, stfu, lmao. Fourth thing, the effect, I think that the eff is just maybe a bit cliched. The OCG is definately off, I suggest referencing similar cards to help keep the grammar correct. Also, if you do decide to make this a field spell card, you can probably remove the "Destroy this card if another "Motivated Clarity" enters play." mainly because there can obviously only one field as well. Other than that, besides the cliched eff, it's pretty solid. Sander
Other than that, besides the cliched eff, it's pretty solid.
It's not "cliched", as you put it, just badly worded. Anyways, the card is okay I guess. Most of the time it misses the timing anyways, so there are no real problems with the effect. And with that comes the fact that nobody would draw with this because when they actually activate something, they're not going to draw with this. Whenever a player Summons / sets a card from their hand; that player can draw a card. If either player draw a card with this cards effect; that player cannot draw a card during their next draw phase. Destroy this card if another "Motivated Clarity" is activated. I would word it like that myself. Don't take my word on it though, I can't guarantee that it's perfect.
Locke Leed
I haven't read a card text for 5 years. The way I worded it is exactly as it would be in older sets. The instructions are clear and concise. As far as the "timing being off" it's a triggered card and would be put on the chain as a pre-priority process. Even if the chain is empty, it still goes off. I agree to changing it to field, then the last line would be unnecessary.
ragnarok1945
I'm just going to use Xander's OCG to rate this it's not bad to have the draw power, but that they have to skip the next draw phase brings it down under that I'm not really sure if it's actually going to be worth it unless you can draw a lot out of it, which isn't guaranteed either
