[/quote] Because it's not remotely worth it. Photons as an archetype are terrible. The only good card in the archetype is Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon, and Photon Sanctuary is godly support for it and other Level 7+ Light monsters. The other Photons are pretty meh at best, or outright bad. Photon Circler is crap. Photon Cerberus is okay, but weak. Photon Crusher is a weaker Goblin Attack Force. Photon Slasher is a Cyber Dragon wannabe. Photon Lizard searches only the Level 4s or lower, which, what do you know, are meh. A searching card is only as good as its best target, if it's not uber generic like Reinforcement of the Army, which can search Slasher or Crusher. Twin Photon Lizard is still a Fusion monster and its entire point is to Tribute itself to SS the Materials. So...yeah. Not that great. The Photon S/Ts are pretty pitiful. Photon Veil is super specific and a -1. Photon Lead is a -1 with very limited useability. Photon Wyvern is outclassed, and Photon Sanctuary is amazing. The main flaw with Photons, excluding the lack of synergy between the members, is they have no way to compensate for loss in card advantage, and their main monster, Galaxy-Eyes, is just an epic beater with Xyz hate. All Photon cards are either a -1 or a +0. And those losses stack when the entire point of the archetype seems to be "SS Galaxy-Eyes". So yeah, Cybernetic Magician, while supported by Sanctuary, makes that discard a curse and unworthy of consideration in Photons. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
