Randomflyingobjects
Yugioh Heroes
Chapter 1: Unlucky Break Copper Yukon lay face down in some mud. Groaning, he got up to his feet and started running again. His light black hair was covered in mud, and so were his totally normal ears and nose. Thankfully, his eyes were only slightly covered. As a matter of fact, every part of his slightly tall, lanky body was covered in mud, except strangely his left leg, which was covered in strawberry jelly. (Don't ask) Copper had never won a duel in his life. Even with the genius combos he created, he still lost every game, over and over. How the opponent managed to draw those cards that didn't even match the deck was anyone's guess. How they always randomly drew the only flaw to each combo was a mystery. He tried to scrape the mud off, but it didn't do much. His footsteps felt heavy. “Come on...” Copper panted, “Must... run faster...” Finally, the Duel Colosseum came into view, the white stone looked crystal in the morning sun, standing gloriously firm at the bottom of the hill. This would be the tryout location for Duel Academy. He burst through the doors and ran to the registration counter. “I need to register for the Duel Academy tryout!” Copper exclaimed. “We were just about to close up, but I guess you could be my last customer,” the lady at the counter smiled, pausing a minute to check his ID and type his information up. “Alright! You've been registered!” She handed him a card with the number 3,695 on it, and Copper grabbed it and took off down the halls to the Duel Arena, tracking mud on the glassy tiles. He was in too much of a hurry to notice the detail engraved into each column, or the golden chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. He lunged through the doors to the center of the building and took the nearest seat. “Everyone here?” a young man in the center smiled, “Everyone, get out your card. We will determine the order of the duels by your number, with the person with card 1 going first, and so on, up until the last duel with person number 3,695. Good luck" He waited ten minutes, twenty, thirty, forty-five, every duel just as exciting as the last, except for that one where the guy tried to stall and recycled Swords until he ran out of cards. Finally, there were only a few duels left. Everyone else had gone home. In the middle of the next duel, Copper found himself milling around, taking a seat next to a boy his age. He wore glasses and had short, golden hair. He was on the small side of the scale and looked fairly easygoing, seemingly ready to hear a joke. “Awesome duel, huh?” Copper asked as he watched somebody's Black-Winged Dragon get absorbed by the instructor's Meklord. “Well, duh! This is the biggest duel of most people's lives!” he exclaimed. "And I noticed, isn't it sort of a cliche that you're late, but still get a chance to Duel here? And using HEROs in your deck... And don't ask me how I know this." Soon, the two struck up a lively conversation about random stuff. Suddenly, the loudspeaker called out for a Noah King. “Looks like it's my turn!” the boy grinned. Noah's duel began. “I'll go first!” the instructor chuckled, attempting to hide his exhaustion, “And I Summon Trident Warrior(1800 ATK), which allows me to Summon Flare Resonator(300 ATK) from my hand. Now, I Tune them together to summon Chaos King Archfiend(2600 ATK)! I place two cards face down and end my turn.” “My move!” Noah drew a card, “I Summon Paranoid Lilypad and activate its effect!(1200 ATK) By paying 1000 Life Points, I can destroy all your Spell and Trap cards, plus I can Special Summon 1 monster from my hand. The Instructor reluctantly sent his Mirror Force and Bottomless Trap hole to the Graveyard.
*** WATER Plant/Effect You may pay 1000 Life Points to destroy all Spell and Trap cards on the field and Special Summon 1 monster from your hand. 1200 ATK/900 DEF
Noah continued, "Come on out, Berserk Pinecone (1100 ATK).Now, I pay 1000 Life Points to use its effect, to have it gain 500 ATK (1100+500=1600) and the ability to destroy 1 card on the field. Say good-bye to Chaos King Archfiend!”
** LIGHT Plant/Effect Pay 1000 Life Points; This monster gains 500 attack. Destroy 1 card on the field. 1100 ATK/1100 DEF
The opponent's monster exploded into dust, leaving the field to two monsters that were exactly what the names suggested, really freaky plant creatures. Noah: 4000–1000–1000=2000 Instructor: 4000 As his Life points dropped to 2000, Noah smiled with confidence with his move as the opponent was left open for an attack. “Now, I play Double Summon to bring out my Mad Acorn!(1000 ATK)” Noah smiled.
* Dark Plant/Effect When this card attacks or is attacked, you may pay 1000 Life Points; This card gains 1000 ATK points. 1000 ATK/900 DEF
“So what? I still have plenty of Life Points to survive this turn!” the instructor cringed. “Not necessarily,” Noah smiled, “Berserk Pinecone! Attack!” The pinecone did just that, slamming into the target. Noah: 2000 Instructor: 4000–1600=2400 “Now, I attack you with Paranoid Lilypad!” Noah: 2000 Instructor: 2400–1200=1200 “Now, I attack you directly with Man Acorn!” Noah smiled, “But I'm not done yet! By paying 1000 Life Points, my monster gains 1000 ATK!” (1000+1000=2000) Noah: 2000–1000=1000 Instructor: 1200-2000=0 “Alright! I won!” Noah exclaimed, “Did you see that?" “And for our last duel...Copper Yukon!” "Good luck, Copper," Noah grinned. "C'mon," Copper shrugged, "Has the main character ever lost the entry duel?" "Well, still, don't underestimate these guys. My opponent... well, he was tired. The next instructor doesn't look so forgiving, and all his previous duels, if you've been watching, resulted in his win. My guess it that this guy is going to be about ten times stronger than mine, and he probably is." At that moment, the new instructor was preparing his Duel Disk. Most of his body was hidden behind is dark cloak. Copper could vaguely make out his long, black hair, but the long, crooked nose was his main feature. His beady eyes examined Copper, as if trying to figure out the best way to take him down. "Yeah, sure. Just sit back and enjoy the show." Copper ran up to the stage, Duel Disk ready. The new instructor stepped up to face him. “I'll go first,” glared the instructor, “I set a monster in Face-down defense, play a card face-down, and end my turn." “Huh, some turn. Let's see how good that will do against this! I summon Ultimate Hero Banker and activate its effect. By offering my Banker as a tribute, I may Special Summon as many 'HERO Tokens' to the field as possible, with any attribute! So I Summon 4 'HERO Tokens' (Level 1/1000 ATK), with the attributes FIRE, EARTH, WIND, and DARK.
**** Earth Warrior/Effect You may tribute this card to Special Summon any number of 'HERO Tokens' (Level 1/Warrior type/1000 ATK/1000 DEF) with any Attribute of your choice. 1900 ATK/1700 DEF
"Now I activate the ability of Ultimate Hero Hydro Fist in my hand. Because I have 3 monsters with different attributes on the field, I can Special Summon my Hydro Fist(WATER/ 2600 ATK),” Copper smiled. Already, he had one of his ace monsters on the field. It was times like these when he wondered why he always lost duels, because with these cards...
****** Water Warrior/Effect Once per turn, you can destroy one monster on the field. If you do this, this monster cannot attack this turn. You can special summon this card from your hand if you have three or more monsters with different attributes on the field. 2600 ATK/1000 DEF
“Now, by sacrificing my EARTH and WIND tokens, I may Special Summon Ultimate Hero Rockwing from my hand(WIND/2500 ATK). When I do this, I may destroy all Spell and Trap cards on the field,” Copper grinned.
***** Wind Warrior/Effect You may Special Summon this card from your hand by tributing 1 Earth monster and 1 Wind monster. If you Special Summon this monster, destroy all Spell and Trap cards on the opponent's side of the field. Once per turn, this card cannot be destroyed by a card's effect. 2500 ATK/2800 DEF
“I activate my set card, 'Crystal Split'! Now, I remove from play my Set monster to gain 4000 Life Points. In the End Phase, my Life Points are halved, and my monster returns to the field,” the Instructor countered.
Trap Remove from play 1 monster you control and gain 4000 Life Points. At the end of this turn, halve your Life Points, and Special Summon the monster you Banished.
Copper: 4000 Instructor: 4000+4000=8000 “You realize that your field is open?” Copper asked, “Well, no bother. I attack with my two 'HERO Tokens'!" Copper: 4000 Instructor: 8000-1000-1000=6000 “Now, Ultimate Hero Hydro Fist attacks!” Copper: 4000 Instructor: 6000-2600=3400 “Finally, I attack with Ultimate Hero Rockwing!” Copper: 4000 Instructor: 3400-2500=900 “Now I end my turn, activating your “Crystal Split”! As the card says, your Life Points are now halved!” Copper: 4000 Instructor: 900x1/2=450 “It's my turn. Now that my monster has returned to the field, I flip it face-up. I reveal Tech Fairy Song!” the Instructor smiled as his monster flipped face-up to reveal a peachy musical pixie cyborg, bearing a flute and a songbook. “Now, I Summon Tech Fairy Maiden from my hand."
**** LIGHT Machine/Tuner When this monster attacks, double this monster's ATK. 1000 ATK/1000 DEF

**** LIGHT Machine/Effect When this monster is attacked, double this monster's ATK, until the end of the battle. 900 ATK/900 DEF
A sad-looking pale blue fairy lady formulated on his field, dressed in mechanical armor, her blue hair flowing. “Next, I activate the Spell card Double Summon. Now, I may Summon again this turn. So come on out, Tech Fairy Servant! Now, I tune Tech Fairy Song with Tech Fairy Maiden to summon Tech Fairy Princess (2000 ATK)!”
* LIGHT Machine/Effect Tribute this monster to select 1 'Tech Fairy' monster and double it's ATK. 200 ATK/200 DEF
A beautiful princess fairy appeared, wearing a white, flowing dress and a mechanical eyepiece, partially hidden by her auburn hair. “And, by Tributing Tech Fairy Servant, I activate her ability, doubling the ATK of 'Tech Fairy' monster on the field. I choose Tech Fairy Princess to gain the boost (2000x2=4000). Finally, I activate the Spell Blustering Winds to have my monster gain 1000 ATK (4000+1000=5000). Now, Tech Fairy Princess, attack his HERO Token!" (5000-1000=4000) Copper: 4000-4000=0 Instructor: 450 “NOOOOO!” Copper wailed as his 'HERO Token' got pulverized and his points dropped down to zero. “Looks like you haven't got what it takes,” the Instructor showed no expression, “Unfortunately, you will be unable to join us at Duel Academy.” “Please, sir, give me another chance!” "Sorry, we don't give second chances. You will not be joining us." Copper fell to his knees, his cards scattered across the floor. He stared down at the dusty battlefield, unable to get over the loss. Copper Yukon wasn't going to enroll at Duel Academy. To Be Continued...

"I...I lost.” Copper couldn't believe it. He knew how horrible of a duelist he was, but for some reason thought he could make the cut. Now he lost his pride and his dream. “It's okay, bro," Noah sympathized. By now, everyone, even the instructors, had left. The lights had long since dimmed, the sun set, and the stadium was about to close. Suddenly, a girl around Copper's age walked in. She had purple hair and very nerdy-looking glasses, holding a satchel (probably containing a laptop) and plain vest. She was slim and slightly on the tall side, around the same height as Copper. She looked sneaky, reminding you to keep your hand on your valuables, but also reminding you that shed be able to get to the anyway. “So, are you guys gonna Duel or what?" “Buzz off, Evelyn,” Noah snorted. “Come on cuz," Evelyn began, "A duel would be very entertaining, you know." So, Battle Royal, Two on one, what are we doing? Copper asked. "One on one, you against Noah. What other way is there?" "I thought you wanted us to Duel you," Copper was as confused as ever. "Oh, don't waste my time. The Duel would be over in three seconds flat, give or take the Draw Phase." Noah took a look at Copper, "You know what? Ever since I first met you, I wanted to have a match." "We just met an hour ago." "Well, still, want to have a whack at it?" "Absolutely!" Copper and Noah stepped up to their positions. “I draw!” Noah grinned confidently, “I summon Cursed Mango (1100 ATK) and activate Invincible Armor, so now my monster can't be destroyed by card effects. Now I place three cards face-down. Your move!”
** EARTH Plant/Effect If this monster battles another monster, you may pay 1000 Life points to negate the battle and inflict 800 points of damage to your opponent. 1100 ATK/1000 DEF

Continuous Spell While this card is on the field, monsters can't be destroyed by a card's effect.
Copper drew his card, “I activate Rainbow Flute, allowing me to Special Summon 5 monsters from my deck, so long as they all have different attributes.” He placed his Ultimate Hero Twin Creek (1200 ATK), Drilblaze (1600 ATK), Transferior (1000 ATK), Alchemy Blaster (1650 ATK), and Illusion (1500 ATK) on the field. "The other problem is I can't use them as Synchro or Xyz Material, use them as Tributes for a Tribute Summon, and they can't use their effects or attack."
Quick-Play Spell Special Summon 5 monsters from your deck with different attributes. These monsters cannot attack, be tributed for a Tribute Summon, and none can activate effects. In the End Phase, destroy the monsters you Special Summoned.
Ultimate Hero Twin Creek appeared as a boy in a blue jacket wearing a blue, flowing scarf. He had a pilots helmet and was surrounded by two rivers.
**** Water Warrior/Effect If this card is destroyed, you may Special Summon this card from the Graveyard, and if it is destroyed after using this effect, remove this card from play. Once per turn, you may change the attribute of a monster to Water. 1200 ATK/1000 DEF
Ultimate Hero Drillblaze was basically a giant drill, engulfed in flames. There was a faint silhouette of what appeared to be a person controlling it, but it seemed as if the drill had a mind of its own.
**** Fire Warrior/Effect When this card attacks, change the target to defense mode. Inflict piercing damage to the opponent if this card's ATK is higher than the monster's DEF. You take no battle damage when this card battles a DEF position monster, and inflict the damage you would take to the opponent instead. 1800 ATK/2000 DEF
Ultimate Hero Transferior looked like... well, I don't know what it looked like, actually. It was sort of a blob or a person or who knows what.
* Wind Warrior/Effect Once per turn, you can special summon 1 monster with a different attribute than this card's attribute to the field from your hand. 1000 ATK/0 DEF
Ultimate Hero Alchemy Blaster was a mad scientist hunched over a desk. His large, round glasses hid most of his face, excluding his wicked smile and crooked nose.
**** Dark Warrior/Effect Thrice per turn, you can change the attribute of one monster. 1650 ATK/500 DEF
“Wait, but they can't attack, right?” Noah asked, looking overwhelmed. "But, seriously, how do you lose all those duels with that epic deck of yours?" “Oh, they can't attack, but they can be very valuable when used for Synchro Summons, Fusing, and such,” Evelyn explained, not looking that impressed. “That's right, but I'm nowhere near done with you yet! I activate the effect of the Fusion monster Ultimate Hero DNA, which allows me to tribute the Fusion Material from my side of the field instead of the traditional Polymerization, so come on out!” Copper's monster, a blob of DNA, emerged from a tycoon of light, replacing his Alchemy Blaster, Transferior, and Illusion.
******** LIGHT Warrior/Fusion/Effect 'Ultimate Hero Transferior' + 'Ultimate Hero Illusion' + 'Ultimate Hero Alchemy Blaster' You may Special Summon this card from your Extra Deck by tributing the Fusion Material Monsters from your field. You may change this card's Attribute at any time. You may Tribute an 'Ultimate Hero' monster to have this card gain it's effect until the end of this turn. 2500 ATK/1800 DEF
“Now, I normal summon Ultimate Hero Stormborn (0 ATK) and use it's effect to special summon Ultimate Hero Serpenteer from my hand(2000 ATK),” Copper smiled, “an by tributing my remaining monsters, Drillblaze, Stormborn, and Twin Creek, DNA's second effect absorbs the effects of the sacrificed monsters. I now use Stormborn's effect, now absorbed by DNA, to summon my Ultimate Hero Rockwing from my hand (2600 ATK). Finally, from my hand, I use the effect of my Hydro Fist. Because I have 3 monsters on the field with different attributes, I can summon it to the field.” Once again, Copper had that questioning feeling inside that made him wonder why the heck he lost every duel. “Hey, Noah, this looks like endgame, doesn't it?" Copper grinned, “I now enter my Battle Phase! Ultimate Hero DNA, attack his Cursed Mango!” “I wouldn't be so reckless, Copper,” Evelyn advised. “Not so fast!” Noah countered, “I activate my monster's effect. By paying 1000 Life Points, I negate the attack and inflict 800 points of damage to you!” Copper: 4000-800=3200 Noah: 4000-1000=300 “Well, now my Rockwing attacks!” Copper smiled. “Now I use my monster's effect again!” Noah countered. Copper: 3200-800=2400 Noah: 3000-1000=2000 “Then go, Serpenteer! Make 'em cry!” Copper fumed. “I'd stop attacking if I were you, Copper. Noah's not that stupid,” Evelyn cautioned. “Evelyn, stop giving him hints. Anyway, go, Cursed Mango, you know what to do!" Copper: 2400-800=1600 Noah: 2000-1000=1000 “Now, Hydro Fist attacks! Finish 'em off!” “I activate Cursed Mango's ability one last time!” Noah smiled. “But... that means game, right?” Copper asked, confused and excited at the same time. “Not exactly,” Noah grinned, “I activate the Trap card Infinite Ammo. Now, all the Life Points I paid this turn come back to me, as if I never paid at all!”
Normal Trap This turn, you do not have to pay Life Points as a cost to card effects. If you already payed Life Points this turn, gain the amount of Life Points that you payed.
Copper: 1600-800=800 Noah: 1000+3000=4000 “I warned you,” Evelyn smirked. “Aw, what's the point?” Copper growled, “I've never won a duel before, so there's no way I will now. All I want is to get better... there's no point in continuing, but I end my turn anyway." “Well, then, I draw! First off, I summon Bursting Bamboo (1200 ATK) and use it's ability to tribute it and summon 2 level 3 or lower monsters from my deck. I think I choose Demented Cherry (1000 ATK) and Psycho Shrub (1900 ATK), both in attack mode. Now, I activate Trap Delivery,” Noah smiled as his Spell card appeared next to his array of plants. “With this card, I can destroy 1 card on the field!"
** DARK Plant/Effect Pay 1000 Life Points and Tribute this card. Special Summon 2 Level 3 or below monsters from your Deck. 1200 ATK/800 DEF

** EARTH Plant/Effect Pay 1000 Life Points and Tribute this card. Special Summon 2 Level 3 or below monsters from your Deck. 1900 ATK/900 DEF

* Fire Plant/Effect When this monster is destroyed, pay 1000 Life Points to destroy all monsters on your opponent's side of the field. 1000 ATK/1000 DEF

Quick-Play Destroy 1 card on the field. The controller of that card adds 1 Trap card to their hand.
Copper braced himself. He already knew that it was game. “Why so glum?” Noah asked innocently, “The way you're acting, there isn't any card that can save you. There's a card out there that can get you out of every situation. Unless you're fighting Exodia. But there's got to be some trick up your sleeve. You're losing focus. What's gotten into you?” “Please, it's... it's nothing,” Copper sighed bitterly, “unless you count losing admission to my only dream, Duel Academy." “Is that it?” Noah asked, “You're not dueling at your top just because your biggest, most glorious dream got crushed, obliterated, destroyed. Just because you can't go to the biggest, most spectacular place in the world, you don't put your heart into a lost duel? Wait... I think I see your point.” “Well, when you put it that way, it makes me feel that much worse.” “Sorry. I use Trap Delivery's effect to destroy my Demented Cherry” Noah's monster disappeared in a flash of light. “You're crazy!” Copper exclaimed. “I agree. But in this case, not necessarily,” Evelyn smiled from the side, “He actually has lots of advantage for destroying his own card. You have remember the benefit to having your card destroyed for Trap Delivery." Copper thought a moment, then freaked out. “Oh, man! That is one smart move!" "Now I'm allowed to take a trap card from my deck. The card I select? I choose my Infinite Ammo!” Noah smirked, “Next, I activate my Demented Cherry's effect, allowing me to destroy all monsters on your side of the field, at the small price of 1000 Life Points, plus I activate the effect of Psycho Stump to activate a trap from my hand, by paying 1000 more Life Points.” Copper: 800 Noah: 4000-1000-1000=2000 “You can probably guess my choice of Trap. Go, Infinite Ammo!” Noah laughed, “Plus, I get to destroy your cards!” Copper: 800 Noah: 2000+1000+1000=4000 Noah's grin grew as Copper's monsters blew up one by one. His smile fell as one of Copper's Hero monsters emerged from the dust. “What, but I...” Noah stammered. Copper looked equally as surprised that his Rockwing survived the blow. Noah turned to his cousin for an explanation. “In case you were wondering, Rockwing has one of those special effects that drive you nuts, Noah. Once per turn, if you didn't notice, it can survive one card effect. That happened to be your Demented Cherry's destruction ability,” Evelyn explained as if it were basic, “I assumed you knew that, Copper. You have lots to learn.” “Fine then,” Noah sighed, “I play the Spell, Monster Guardian. Now, until my next turn, monsters cannot be destroyed by battle of by card effects. I end my turn." Copper wasn't sure how he would get out of this. He was losing terribly, and he only had his Ultimate Hero Peace in his hand. Still, he knew he had to try to play this one out. “I draw,” Copper's eyes grew wide. He certainly hadn't expected this card to pop out on him. “I Summon Ultimate Hero Peace (1200 ATK) from my hand. Now, I Tune Ultimate Hero Peace with Ultimate Hero Rockwing ( 3+5=8 ) to Synchro Summon Ultimate Hero Unleashed (2500 ATK)!"
*** LIGHT Warrior/Effect During the Battle Phase, when the opponent attacks, you may discard this card to have the opponent's monster lose 1200 ATK points until the End Phase. The opponent has the option of negating his/her own battle phase. Once per turn, if this card is on the field, you may activate the following effect: The opponent selects one monster on their side of the field, and you gain control of it. The opponent gains control of this card. 1200 ATK/0 DEF

******** Light Warrior/Synchro/Effect 1 Tuner monster + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters Once per turn, you may discard 1 card. When a monster attacks, you change the attribute of the attacking monster to the attribute of the discarded monster. This card gains the effect of the dicarded monster if it has the same attribute as this card, until the end of this turn. 2500 ATK/1800 DEF
"Now, from my hand, I play Pot of Color. Now, I get to add up to 6 monsters with the six attributes from my Graveyard to my Deck. I choose my Drillblaze, Stormborn, Peace, and Rockwing. Now I draw 2 cards.”
Spell Add 4 monsters to the deck, from the Graveyard, with different attributes. Draw 2 cards.
Sweet! Copper thought. “I play Highway Robbery, allowing me to Draw 3 cards, so long as I halve my Life Points.” Copper: 800x1/2=400 Noah: 4000 “Now, I play the Field Spell Ultimate Skyscraper. Now, my Ultimate Heroes gain 300 ATK, plus I can change the attribute of my Unleashed to Wind. Now I use the ability of my monster to discard a card from my hand to gain the card's effect, so long as it has the same attribute as Unleashed, so I discard my Stormborn. Next, I play Ultimate Rainbow- Red to change my monster's Attribute to Fire, plus add 1 more 'Rainbow' Spell to my hand from my deck, and inflict 500 points of damage to you!”
Field Spell "Ultimate Hero" monsters gain 300 ATK. You may change the attribute of any monster on the field to anything. You may activate this card any number of times each turn, but you may not activate this card's effect on the same monster twice per turn.

Spell Change the attribute of any monster on the field to FIRE. When you activate this effect, you may add 1 "Ultimate Rainbow" Spell card to your hand and inflict 500 points of damage to your opponent. You may discard this card to add 2 "Ultimate Rainbow" Spell cards to your hand. You may only activate the effect of 1 "Ultimate Rainbow" Spell card per turn.
Copper: 400 Noah: 4000-500=3500 “Uh-oh,” Noah bit his lip, knowing that another overpowering monster was about to appear. “Now I use the effect of Unleashed to Summon my Ninja Star (2000 ATK). Now my Ninja Star takes a peek at that Face-down of yours.” Copper took a look at his opponent's left face-down trap, Defense Draw. “Now I use my Ultimate Skyscraper to change my Ninja Star into a Earth-type. Now Ninja Star uses it's ability to destroy 1 Spell or Trap for every non-Wind monster on my side of the field. I destroy your face-down card on the left face-down and your Invincible Armor. Noah cringed as his cards were destroyed. “Now, I use the Continuous Spell card Rainbow Stampede. Now, I choose 1 attribute. You have to have the selected attribute to attack, and monsters with that attribute gain 500 ATK. I chose the attribute Fire. Now, my Ninja Star attacks your Psycho Stump (3300-1900=1400).” Copper: 400 Noah: 3500-1400=2100 “But my monster still isn't destroyed, due to my Monster Guardian” Noah panicked. “Actually, that was the point. Now, Copper can attack your monster again without having to touch your Cursed Mango,” Evelyn smirked on the sideline, “That card proved to be a mistake." “Now, my Ninja Star attacks your Psycho Stump! (2800-1900=900) Copper: 400 Noah: 2100-900=1200 “Alright, then. My move!” Noah cringed. He placed his hand on the deck to draw his card, but part of the Duel Colosseum staff walked in. “I'm terribly sorry, but we'll have to cut your duel short. I'm afraid it's closing time. “WHAT!?” both Noah and Copper exclaimed. “Looks like you'll have to call that duel a tie,” Evelyn smiled mischievously, as if she had planned it that way. The holograms on the duel field faded, and they were all escorted outside. “I kinda wish that we could have finished that duel, win or lose,” Noah sighed, “Well, I'm sorry for not understanding your pain. I think I get it now. I wish there was something I could do...” Suddenly, Noah jumped up with inspiration. He whispered something into Evelyn's ear. “Not too shabby, Noah,” she smiled, mildly impressed with her cousin. “What are you talking about, and why are you whispering?” Copper asked. She looked over at Noah, who nodded. “Simple,” she grinned with that mischievous look in her eyes, “Were gonna break you into Duel Academy.” To Be Continued...

Yugioh Heroes Chapter 3: Stowing Away Copper couldn’t believe his ears. “WHAT???" He was sitting outside of the Duel Colleseum, talking to his new friends Evelyn and Noah while the sun set in a stream of red, orange, and yellow. "You’re not deaf, are you?” Evelyn laughed, “We said, we’re going to break you into Duel Academy.” "There’s no way!” Copper exclaimed, “They’ve got to have guards or something.” "Come on, Copper. You’re the main character. You’ve got to get involved in something like this,” Noah waved his hands to enhance his point, “It’s the perfect plot!" "I know, but maybe the storyline lies elsewhere,” Copper didn’t want to get in any trouble, even though he really wanted to follow through with the plan. “The main character is supposed to get to Duel Academy! That’s what it’s for, isn’t it? Create some form of plot?” Noah was furious, yet very persuasive. “Yeah, I guess you’re right,” Copper cracked a smile, “What’s the worst that could happen, get us kicked out and into another plot, right?” "I don’t understand what you’re saying, but yeah, you really should. It’ll be fun!” Evelyn smiled mischievously, “I don’t care if I get kicked out, so long as I wreck some havoc along the way.” “Alright! We’re going to break you in.... with style!” Noah posed in something that he must have interpreted as cool, no matter how humiliating. “What do you mean by...” “He means the old fashioned way where you smash some security cameras, break windows, and beat up some guards,” Evelyn explained, sounding irritated. “Eh... not the best idea,” Copper grimaced, “We’d be out of Duel Academy before we even see it.” “Hm, point taken. Then again, it would provide more of a show for whoever reads this,” Noah pointed out. “What?” Evelyn shook her head, “I just don’t understand you two.” “Or we could hack the security system on the boat, sneak you in, have a Texas-style steak, then sail onto Duel Academy. You may have to stay low for a while when we land, because someone’s bound to be checking us for admission slips,” Noah planned thoughtfully. "Why don't we just hack into the roster?” Copper cut in. It's not as fun that way. Besides, these Duel Academy people are so low tech. They just use pen, paper, and a copy machine. Noah's right. We hack the security system and run. "Oh, fine." Copper mumbled. -------------------------------- “You ready?” Noah asked Copper, with the three sitting behind a trash can, next to the docks where passengers were slowly loading onto a giant cruiser with a white body and a teal stripe through the middle. "As ready as I’ll ever be.” Evelyn studied the boat carefully, “We need to hack into the security system, create the illusion that nobody snuck on. Then, we sneak you in the window, and you’re Duel Academy free!” “Well, that sounds fun!” Copper rolled his eyes, “Let’s do this!” Noah slipped open one of the windows on the boat, “All aboard the stowaway express!” Copper slid in the window, followed by Evelyn and Noah. Evelyn tiptoed over to a power box and grinned, reaching into her pocket, pulling out a pair of sissors. "The secret tool of the common security hacker" Noah whispered over to Copper. "The alarm has been disabled!” Evelyn smiled triumphantly after a moment. "Wait for it...” Evelyn cautioned, “Step into the middle of the hallway.” They did so, and a camera pointed right at them. Hurriedly, they dove into a recycling bin. Two men with patches stepped in. After a glance at their name tags, the three knew that these men were from Security Room B. "Hm...” one said, “They must have gone down the other hall.” The men ran down a passage opposite of where they came from. Let’s go,” Copper suggested. They ran down the hall until the saw a door labeled 'Security Room B'. Cautiously, they creaked the door open. the room was empty, two chairs sitting in front of a bunch of screens and a giant, complex keyboard. “So there are only two people who know of us. All we need it to erase the camera's memory bank and turn the cameras off, so the two of us can make a clean escape.” Evelyn stated, “Seriously, though. Only two guards?” She started pressing keys at what looked like random. Copper looked at Noah. “She’s good at this kind of thing,” he explained. “Almost... got it...” Evelyn cringed, “Ugh, of course.” The screen lit up. “Duel Puzzle activated,” a mechanical voice said. Noah pushed Evelyn out of the way, and a moment later, he was stuck in the Duel Simulator. "Tech Fairies,” Noah groaned. Both sides were littered with the cards. The opponent had a Tech Fairy Princess (2000), Tech Fairy Maiden (1000), and Tech Fairy Guard (1400) on the field, along with 3 cards face-down. Noah had Magic Charge and Mystical Space Typhoon face-down, and a Tech Fairy Servant (200), Tech Fairy Star (500), and Tech Fairy Song (1000) on his field. All monsters were in Attack Position. Noah grinned as he saw the “Change of Heart” in his hand, plus the Tech Fairy Archer (1800 ATK) and Tech Fairy Lance (1400 ATK), along with a Double Summon and a Banner of Courage. A trap card flipped face-up. “I activate ‘Synchro Bomb’ to destroy ‘Tech Fairy Princess’,” came the mechanical voice. “Huh? Well, I Summon ‘Tech Fairy Archer and use ‘Double Summon’ to bring out ‘Tech Fairy Lance’,” Noah was struggling to figure something out. “I Tribute ‘Tech Fairy Servant to double the attack of my ‘Archer’ (3600 ATK), and I attack!" "Not so fast” the computer countered in it’s dull mechanical voice. “I activate ‘Ring of Soul Destruction. When you declare an attack, I select 1 monster, and we both take damage equal to its ATK. I target your ‘Tech Fairy Lance’. Now we each take damage equal to its attack." Simulator: 7500-3600=3900 Noah: 2100-3600=0 The simulation faded. “Wow,” Evelyn smirked, “You just lost a duel, on your turn, in thirty seconds!” “Stop talking. I’ll take on this computer and win it for us!” Copper was ready for anything. “I activate ‘Change of Heart’ to take control of your ‘Defender’. Next, I tribute ‘Servant’ to double the attack of ‘Tech Fairy Star’ (1400 ATK). Now, I use the Spell card ‘Banner of Courage, and have my monsters all gain 200 ATK!” The monsters adjusted their attack points. The computer, being a computer, showed absolutely no facial expression. "Now, I Summon to the field my ‘Tech Fairy Archer’ (1800+200=2000) ATK, followed up by a ‘Double Summon to bust out ‘Tech Fairy Lance’ (1600). Now my Archer uses its ability to negate your Princess’s effect. Now, I attack with ‘Tech Fairy Lance’ to use its own ability. By negating his attack, the attack target, a.k.a. ‘Tech Fairy Princess’ loses 500 ATK (2000-500=1500). Now, my ‘Archer’ attacks your ‘Princess’!” If the computer could have a facial expression, it would’ve changed to a nasty grin. “I use my Trap card, ‘T.F. Revenge!’. Now my monster’s attack is doubled.” Once again, it’s voice was bland. The moment the two collided, ‘Tech Fairy Princess’ grew into a powerful giant (1500x2=3000). Tech Fairy Archer crumbled to dust (3000-2000=1000). I could have done better," Evelyn sighed, “at least you hit a minute of dueling, twice as long as Noah.” "Oh, come on,” Noah griped, “let’s see how you do.” "Yes let’s,” Evelyn agreed. She went into the simulator. The field readied itself. “Let’s start things off right. I activate ‘Change of Heart’ to take control of your ‘Tech Fairy Defender’! Next I use ‘Double Summon to bring out my Tech Fairies Lance and Archer. Now, by sacrificing my ‘Servant’, I double the attack of my ‘Tech Fairy Star’. Now, I gain 500 Life Points thanks to my ‘Star’s ability (500x2=1000).” Simulator: 7500 Evelyn: 2100+500=2600 “So, what the heck is she doing?” Copper asked Noah, “Wouldn’t she want to power up his strongest card?” “No idea, but it probably has something to do with that Trap card, and not going over the 2000-point limit and falling to that Trap Card. “Next, I use the effect of my ‘Archer’ to negate the effect of your ‘Princess’ and halve her ATK.” Evelyn smiled. "Now entering the Battle Phase!” Evelyn pointed straight at the computer. The computer didn’t even flinch. “Now go, ‘Tech Fairy Lance’, attack the opponent’s Maiden.” The computer flashed, “I use ‘Tech Fairy Maiden’s ability. When she is attacked, I double her attack until the end of the battle. (900x2=1800) "I knew that. For that exact reason, I negate the attack using Lance’s ability, halving the attack of your ‘Tech Fairy’ and destroying 1 Spell or Trap. And as a bonus, my ‘Tech Fairy Star’ gives me 500 more Life Points (900/2=450),” Evelyn smiled and pointed at the opponent’s face-down ‘T.F. Revenge’, “and as for the trap, I destroy that card!” The Trap blew up into a shining display of color. Simulator: 7500 Evelyn: 2600+500=3100 “Next, I attack with my ‘Defender’. And with ‘Star’, I gain 500 Life Points!” Simulator: 5100 Evelyn: 2100 “Now, smash that ‘Maiden’!” The fairy flew up and blasted ‘Tech Fairy Maiden’ with a musical blast. ‘Maiden’s ATK doubled, due to it’s effect, but up to a measly 900. The computer didn’t budge. “Whay the heck is she doing?” Copper asked, “Why didn’t she play that card earlier?” "If she had used 'Banner' before that 'Ring of Soul Destruction' was played, it would have been game. This way, though, I'm really not sure what she's going to do. ‘Banner of Courage’ blew up, but Evelyn smiled. “I use the Trap card, ‘Magic Charge’. Now that my Spell card has been destroyed, I deal 2000 points of damage to both of us!” Simulator: 2000-2000=0 Noah: 2100-2000=100 The simulation faded. “Wow,” Evelyn smirked, “Only took me a minute!” As Noah was trying to get over being outdone by his cousin, Evelyn started pressing more buttons. “There. Just to be safe, I replaced all the footage on the back hallway cameras. Now, it’s like we weren’t there at all. Now if you just go hide somewhere, we’ll be on our boat to Duel Academy. Copper nodded and climbed into the trash can. “Alright. Thanks for everything.” Noah and Evelyn nodded back as they climbed out of the boat. “We’ll see you there!”

Chapter 4: Lost in the Breeze After sitting in a trash can for a few hours, Copper started getting bored. Not thinking, he slipped out of the trash can and started walking around to stretch. watching around for security guards, he bumped into a wall and yelped. His eyes shot over to the wall, which held a sign, claiming that this was the ‘Restricted’ section. He heard footsteps dashing over in his direction. “Oh, of course I had to stow away in the restricted section. It could have been in the luggage room, or in a crowded hallway. But no.” Copper complained. He scanned the area, looking for a hiding place, but there was only a hallway of windows. Thinking fast,he slid one open and jumped out, with no plan whatsoever. Copper’s head bobbed out of the water. “Stupid belly flop,” he muttered, making his way to the anchor, which was slowly descending. He grabbed it and wiggled his way up about halfway, watching Duel Academy Island approach. Realizing that he might get caught at the island, he slipped back into the boat and found his trash can, grabbed a newspaper, and started eating it. The boat lurched to a stop. Copper was about to scramble out when he heard footsteps coming down the corridors. Quickly, he hid himself under the newspaper. A security guard loomed over the trash. “Hey,” the security guard said, scanning the newspaper, “Somebody tossed the comics.” he grabbed a page and walked off. "Hey," Copper thought, “I was going to eat that!" A few minutes later, somebody picked up the trash can, with much effort, and dragged it to the trash truck, where Copper was promptly driven to the island dump. The truck dumped Copper and the rest of the junk off and drove away. Copper noted, “You know, this kind of thing doesn’t ever happen to the people on TV, but of course, it happens to me. Horrible luck, I tell ya.” He began searching the dumpster. Hsted on a green rectangle, probably a card. He ran over to it, “Hey, look, a card. ‘Lost in the Breeze’, it says. Doubt this’ll work in my deck, but maybe I could sell it online or something.” He pocketed the card and turned to find his way out, grabbing a newspaper on his way. ------------ Copper concealed himself in the forest, sneaking through the shrubs to Duel Academy. Noah and Evelyn were casually whistling and sitting on a bench, waiting for his arrival. Copper took another bite for luck, then signalled for his two friend to meet him under a bush. As casually as they could, Noah and Evelyn slipped into the bushes. “Hey, guys!” Copper enthused in probably the loudest and most obvious voice a stowaway could make, “Long time no see!" “Would you keep it down?” Noah hushed, “We don’t want anyone to know we’re here." Evelyn nodded, “C’mon Copper, don’t be ridiculous. Besides, it’s only been an hour or two.” “Well, sorry. Hey,” Copper ripped off another bite of newspaper and held it out, “want some?” They stared at him blankly and started chewing him out about the unhealthiness of it and how gross he was acting. Of course, the moment Evelyn looked away in disgust, Noah nodded to Copper, who handed him a chunk. Noah’s portion was down the hatch in 3.7 seconds flat. “So, back to the matter at hand. How do we sneak you in?” Evelyn turned her head back to Noah and Copper, who were giddily waving their hand in the air, “I mean without arousing suspicion.” Both boys sighed and slowly pulled down their hands, but then two things hit Copper. One was an idea. The other was bird poop. "I could probably slip in the crowd. Most of these guys’ll probably act like I don’t exist, and the others guys aren’t going to know the difference. What could possibly go wrong?" ------------ It didn’t really take too long to break in. There were no guards anywhere, the school didn't actually have a security system, and Noah had a private room, entirely to himself. This was one of those luxuries of Ra Yellow. Noah held his ID card up to the scanner to his door, which automatically opened for them. The light flickered on, and clothes, sheets, pillows, mattresses, and drawers were strewn all over the place. In the midst of all of this, a pale, shady-looking kid in all black was digging through one of Noah’s drawers. He didn't look evil, but actually a bit friendly. But creepy. Very creepy. "WHAT THE HECK IS THIS IDIOT DOING IN MY DORM ROOM!?” Noah wailed. “You’d better have a good reason for this!” “My card... it has to be somewhere...” the kid was panicking, still searching the room. “I don’t care. Just get out!” Noah was mad. “As a matter of fact, I think I’ll go to the director.” "Wait, no! I’d do anything, just don’t tell,” he pleaded, “I mean, I’d even give up all my allowance for three weeks!” Noah nodded, “This pleases me. I’ll think about it.” “Hey, by any chance, is this the card you were looking for?” Copper held up the card he found earlier, ‘Lost in the Breeze’. “Yeah, that’s exactly what I was looking for! Rock on, bro,” the kid smiled, though he still looked a bit creepy. Before Noah could react, Copper cut in again, “Hey, don’t mention it. And relax, we won’t tell anyone.” “You mean it? For free?" "Well, there is one thing I’d like,” Copper grinned. “How ‘bout a Duel?” “Alright, then,” his dark cloak billowed, “my name is Dustin Black, and I accept your challenge.” “Hey, what about me...?” Noah complained as they readied their Duel Disks. “You can Duel me next,” Copper replied, focusing on the Duel. “After you!” Copper gestured to Dustin. “With pleasure! "Honestly, dude,” Copper sighed, “you can be very pathetic sometimes.” "Hello," Noah wailed, “If you didn’t notice, my dorm room is infested!” "Come on, Noah! It’s like you’ve never seen a hologram in your life!” Copper snagged away the broom. “Oh, uh...” Noah’s face grew red. “We’ll laugh at you later, once this duel’s over. Now where were we? Ah, yes, Dustin was playing some totally random cards for no apparent reason." “There is too a reason!” Dustin intervened. “Oh yeah?” "Absolutely! "Let me give you the lay-down. Xyz monsters are epic monsters, residing in the Extra Deck with Fusions and Synchros. Instead of a level, they have a Rank, and they can be Summoned by stacking the number of monsters listed on the card, and putting the Xyz monster on the top. For example, my monster needs 3 level 3 monsters. Those monsters stick around, fueling the Xyz monster’s effects. Get it?” Dustin explained. "Um... could you repeat that?” Copper asked, doodling in a notebook that had somehow appeared in his hand. “Just live with it.” “Fine, I’ll look it up later,” Copper sighed. “Let’s get back to the duel. It was actually getting interesting,” confessed Noah. “Alright, go Gorillian! Take out his ‘Ninja Star’!” Dustin commanded, as the giant monkey-like beast threw his fist out at the serpent, Copper stretched out his hand. “Hold up! I activate ‘Waboku’!” A trio of transparent women in robes surrounded Copper’s team, defending it from attacks. “Actually, I have other ideas.” Dustin said. “Instead, Gorrilian allows me to destroy your monster immediately, by his effect.” “And that’s not all,” Dustin continued. “I use the ability of my ‘Vultorious, allowing me to ditch an overlay unit to destroy your face-down, at the cost of my ‘Gorrilian’. This time, however, I’m just using Gorrilian’s power. With this, I get to revive my ‘Lost Hero Leon’. On that note, I end my turn.” “My go.” Copper picked up a card, the raised an eyebrow. This guy was a great duelist, but he had one major weakness. If something broke his strategy once, he was in for it. The guy had a pretty strong wall out there, but if his field got wiped, he had no backup. Glancing up, Copper realized that his opponent had an open hand. Copper smiled confidently, shoved two traps into his Duel Disk, and he ended his turn. Dustin snorted in disgust, looking at the card he’d just drawn. He placed it face-down an pointed at Copper, “I use ‘Vultorious’s’ effect, allowing me to destroy Leon and...” “Hold up.” Copper stopped him. “I activate ‘Skill Drain’, allowing me to stop your monster’s effects in their tracks, at the cost of 1000 Life Points." Next, I play ‘Heavy storm’, getting rid of your Traps." Maybe next time.” Noah sighed and started complaining, but gave up and sat next to Copper and Dustin. “Oh, I gotta go. "See you around."

Yugioh Heroes Chapter 5: Keeping Secrets Trembling, Copper jumped behind a crate, filled with something that smelled peculiarly like salmon. The headmaster passed by him, glancing about nervously. Copper started to follow the large, bald man, keeping his eyes planted on the man’s large, red tux.Sure, he was supposed to be meeting Noah in the restrooms and get an overall recap on the day's lesson so far, and share Noah's lunch, but the headmaster was acting suspicious. Copper had been following him across the school, and the old man hadn't even noticed.Until now.Obviously getting suspicious, the headmaster quickly turned around. Fortunately, Copper dropped down to the ground and bolted through an open door. He paused, listening for the headmaster’s fading footsteps. When he was sure he was safe, he looked around, realizing that he was in some food storage freezer. Giant crates of frozen food were scattered around in disheveled heaps. About to head through the door, Copper froze, hearing extremely faint footsteps. Looking around, he saw a dark figure, trying to sneak through a wide vent.Knowing something was up, he called out, “What do you think you‘re doing?” The figure turned, revealing a boy, Copper’s age. He appeared very slim, as well as flexible. Most of his dark blonde hair was hidden by a black cap, and the rest of his body was wrapped tightly in black, creating the appearance of a ninja, except his mouth remained uncovered.“Wait a minute... you’re not from Duel Academy...” Copper realized. “Everybody’s in class now!”“Obviously not everybody. What are you doing here?” The boy countered in a gruff, confident voice.“That’s easy,” he panicked, “I snuck in... I mean, I was looking for the bathroom.”’“I can tell you aren’t a student here.” the boy confirmed. “It’s okay, you’re backup, right?”“Um... no...?”“Then forget I said anything.” The boy cringed. “So what are you doing here?”“Not hiding around to watch the Dueling lessons so that I can become a better duelist, constantly practicing my skills in duels against anybody I can get to, living the full Duel Academy experience, even after failing at the entrance exam, that’s for sure.” Copper stepped back. “What are you doing here?”“That is classified information.”“I guess I’ll go turn you in.” Copper grinned. “Sorry, but that means exposing yourself, and you can’t afford that, can you?”“I have contacts on the inside!”The boy grinned, “As do I. Besides, we both know that by the time we get to them, both of us’ll be hiding somewhere else. On top of that, the school already knows about us... I mean, about a stowaway. It doesn’t matter if the school can confirm it.”“You know what?” Copper slipped on his Duel Disk, “We duel, and the loser has to turn himself in. Deal?”“Strange boy, you are. You have no idea what you’re getting yourself into.”“So are we dueling, or not?”“Well, since you seem so intent on losing... Deal!”Copper stepped onto the icy clearing in between himself and the boy, who did the same. The boy snapped his finger, and a Duel Disk formulated on his arm.“So, who are you again?” Copper asked. “I’m Copper.”“For the sake of the duel, call me... Reinforce
It's quite entertaining, and I like how they keep referring to the story as if they know it's a story that people are reading.

Haxoras
Yea, that would be awesome. Like add some more Synchros and throw in 1 or 2 Xyz. Some names would be Alchemyst, Sorceress, Warlock, and Mage. But overall, its awesome
guuu1234
Hmm it's something about comments saying "this is good" that rally grinds my gear. maybe because it's not detailed enough, maybe because it's not helpful ... anyway the idea behind this story is interesting, yet oddly overused at the same time. This fanfic just screams dejavu to me, but there are some interesting points that make me smile, and some parts that make me want to rip my hair out. nevertheless, I must point them out for your continued development, because this is something i would really like to see through to the end.
Chapter 1: Unlucky Break Copper Yukon lay face down in some mud. Groaning, he got up to his feet and started running again. It was like the world wanted him to miss the only chance he had to get to Duel Academe. (What is it with the cliche of "lateness", "the whole world going against that one moment", etc. These dried up, overused cliches are just plan boring) First, his alarm didn't go off, followed by an emergency in the bathroom, a flat tire or two, the worst traffic ever, half of his cards flying away, and now this mud. How was he supposed to get to Duel Academe like this? (Ok, so he is extremely unlucky. is the emergency in the bathroom really necessary? We get it, he's late. Even with the genius combos he created, he still lost every game, over and over. It's actually not that bad of an idea (I know Copper thinking and talking is completely different, but you still just stated that.” “I hate to admit it, but Evelyn's right for once,” Noah sighed as he readied his deck, “just like always.”(LMAO! Evelyn is right"for once" yet "just like always") Copper and Noah stepped up to their positions. “I draw!” Noah grinned confidently, “I summon 'Cursed Mango' (1100 ATK) and activate 'Invincible Armor', so now my monster can be destroyed by card effects. Now I place three cards face-down. You're move!” Copper drew his card, “I activate 'Rainbow Flute', allowing me to Special Summon 5 monsters from my deck, so long as they all have different attributes (Just how broken is his cards, yet, he always loses?).” He placed his Ultimate Hero Twin Creek (1200 ATK), Drilblaze (1600 ATK), Transferior (1000 ATK), Alchemy Blaster (1650 ATK), and Illusion (1500 ATK) on the field. “Wait, but they can't attack, right?” Noah asked, looking overwhelmed. “Oh, they can't attack, but they can be very valuable when used for Tributing and Fusing and such,” Evelyn explained, not looking that impressed. I activate the effect of the Fusion monster 'Ultimate Hero DNA', which allows me to remove from play the Fusion Material from my side of the field instead of the traditional 'Polymerization' so come on out!” Copper's monster emerged from a tycoon of light. “Now (Woah! Woah! Woah! What got banished to allow DNA to be summoned 'cause right now, it seems like you still have 5 monsters on the field, while trying to summon 6 :/), I summon 'Ultimate Hero Stormborn' (Where is he summoning this from) (0 ATK) and use it's effect to summon 'Ultimate Hero Serpenteer'(2000 ATK), (where did he summon HIM from),” Copper smiled, “an by banishing (STOP! like wtf, didn't DNA already banish those monsters to summon himself :/) 'Drillblaze, Stormborn, and Twin Creek, DNA gains their effects. I now use the effect of 'Stormborn' to summon my 'Ultimate Hero Rockwing' from my hand (2600 ATK). Finally, from my hand, I use the effect of my 'Hydro Fist'. Because I have 3 monsters on the field with different attributes, I can summon it to the field.” (In contrast of what i said earlier, why does copper lose so many duels again?) “Hey, Noah, this looks like endgame, doesn't it?” Copper grinned, “I now enter my Battle Phase! Noah's not that stupid,” Evelyn cautioned. “Evelyn, stop giving him hints. All I want is to get better... there's no point in continuing, but I end my turn anyway.” “Well, then, I draw! First off, I summon 'Bursting Bamboo' (1200 ATK) and use it's ability to tribute it and summon 2 level 3 or lower monsters from my deck. I think I choose 'Demented Cherry' (1000 ATK) and 'Psycho Shrub' (1900 ATK), both in attack mode. Now, I activate 'Trap Delivery',” Noah smiled as his Spell card appeared next to his array of plants. “With this card, I can destroy 1 card on the field!” Copper braced himself. He already knew that it was game. “Why so glum?” Noah asked innocently, “The way you're acting, there isn't any card that can save you. There's a card out there that can get you out of every situation. There's got to be some trick up your sleeve. You're losing focus. What's going on with you?” “Please, it's... it's nothing,” Copper sighed, “unless you count losing admission to my only dream, Duel Academe.” “Is that it?” Noah asked, “You're not dueling at your top just because your biggest, most glorious dream got crushed, obliterated, destroyed. Just because you can't go to the biggest, most spectacular place in the world, you don't put your heart into a lost duel? Wait... I think I see your point.” “Well, when you put it that way, it makes me feel that much worse.” “Sorry. I use 'Trap Delivery's effect to destroy my 'Demented Cherry'.” Noah's monster disappeared in a flash of light. “You're crazy!” Copper exclaimed. “Not necessarily,” Evelyn smiled from the side, “He actually has lots of advantage for destroying his own card. You have remember the price to 'Trap Delivery's effect.” Copper thought a moment, then freaked out. “Oh, man! That is one smart move!” “Now I'm allowed to take a trap card from my deck. The card I select? I choose my 'Infinite Ammo'!” Noah smirked, “Next, I activate my 'Demented Cherry's effect, allowing me to destroy all monsters on your side of the field, at the small price of 1000 Life Points, plus I activate the effect of 'Psycho Stump' to activate a trap from my hand, by paying 1000 more Life Points.” Copper: 800 Noah: 4000-1000-1000=2000 “You can probably guess my choice of Trap. Go, 'Infinite Ammo'!” Noah laughed, “Plus, I get to destroy your cards!” Copper: 800 Noah: 2000+1000+1000=4000 Noah's grin grew as Copper's monsters blew up one by one. His smile fell as one of Copper's Hero monsters emerged from the dust. “What, but I...” Noah stammered. Copper looked equally as surprised that his 'Rockwing' survived the blow (So he knew Cherry's effect, but not his own monsters effect). Noah turned to his cousin for an explanation. “In case you were wondering, 'Rockwing' has one of those special effects that drive you nuts, Noah. Once per turn, if you didn't notice, it can survive one card effect. That happened to be your 'Demented Cherry's destruction ability,” Evelyn explained as if it were basic, “I assumed you knew that, Copper. You have lots to learn.” “Fine then,” Noah sighed, “I play the Spell 'Monster Guardian'. Now, until my next turn, monsters cannot be destroyed by battle of by card effects. I end my turn.” Copper wasn't sure how he would get out of this. He was losing terribly, and he only had his Ultimate Hero Peace in his hand. Still, he knew he had to try to play this one out. “I draw,” Copper's eyes grew wide(Miracle Draw? where the main charcter gets exactly what he needs, when he needs it? a cliche, but it IS okay every now and then, but please don't have this "Miracle Draw" happen a lot) He certainly hadn't expected this card to pop out on him. “I Summon 'Ultimate Hero Peace' (1200 ATK) from my hand. Now, I Tune “Ultimate Hero Peace' with 'Ultimate Hero Rockwing' ( 3+5=8 ) to Synchro Summon 'Ultimate Hero Unleashed' (2500 ATK)! Now, from my hand, I play 'Pot of Color'. Now, I get to add up to 6 monsters with the six attributes from my Graveyard to my Deck. I choose my Drillblaze, Stormborn, Peace, Serpenteer, Illusion, and Rockwing (I thought they were banished for the summon of DNA, then, somehow, banished again to copy their effects. what are they doing in the Graveyard?). Now I draw 2 cards.” 'Sweet!' Copper thought. “I play 'Highway Robbery', allowing me to Draw 3 cards, so long as I halve my Life Points.” Copper: 800x1/2=400 Noah: 4000 “Now, I play the Field Spell 'Ultimate Skyscraper'. Now, my 'Ultimate Heroes' gain 300 ATK, plus I can change the attribute of my 'Unleashed' to Wind. Now I use the ability of my monster to discard a card from my hand to gain the card's effect, so long as it has the same attribute as 'Unleashed', so I discard my 'Stormborn'. Next, I play 'Ultimate Rainbow- Red' to change my monster's Attribute to Fire, plus add 1 more 'Ultimate Rainbow' Spell to my hand (Add to your hand from where? his deck i'm assuming) and inflict 500 points of damage to you!” Copper: 400 Noah: 4000-500=3500 “Uh-oh,” Noah bit his lip, knowing that another crushing monster was about to appear. “Now I use the effect of 'Unleashed' to Summon my 'Ninja Star' (2000 ATK). Now my 'Ninja Star' takes a peek at that Face-down of yours.” Copper took a look at his left face-down 'Defense Draw'. “Now I use my 'Ultimate Skyscraper' to change my “Ninja Star' into a Earth-type. Now 'Ninja Star' uses it's ability to destroy 1 Spell or Trap for every non-Wind monster on my side of the field. I destroy your face-down card on the left face-down and your 'Invincible Armor'.” Noah cringed as his cards were destroyed. “Now, I use the Continuous Spell card 'Rainbow Stampede' (Is this the "Ultimate Rainbow" spell that got searched, 'cause it doesn't have "Ultimate Rainbow in the name) . Now, I choose 1 attribute. You have to have the selected attribute to attack, and monsters with that attribute gain 500 ATK. I chose the attribute Fire. Now, my 'Ninja Star' attacks syour 'Psycho Stump' (3300-1900=1400).” Copper: 400 Noah: 3500-1400=2100 “But my monster still isn't destroyed, due to my 'Monster Guardian'.” Noah panicked. “Actually, that was the point. Now, Copper can attack your monster again without having to touch your 'Cursed Mango',” Evelyn smirked on the sideline, “That card proved to be a mistake.” “Now, my 'Ninja Star' attacks your 'Psycho Stump'! My move!” Noah cringed. He placed his hand on the deck to draw his card when part of the Duel Colosseum staff walked in. He whispered something into Evelyn's ear. “Not too shabby, Noah,” she smiled, mildly impressed with her cousin. “What are you talking about, and why are you whispering?” Copper asked. She looked over at Noah, who nodded. “Simple,” she grinned with that mischievous look in her eyes, “We're gonna break you into Duel Academe.” To Be Continued...

Chapter 3: Stowing Away Copper couldn’t believe his ears. “WHAT???” He was sitting outside of the Duel Coliseum, talking to his new friends Evelyn and Noah while the sun set in a stream of red, orange, and yellow. You’re the main character. Then again, it would provide more of a show for whoever reads this,” Noah pointed out. “Why would we want a show? Who’d read this? I have no clue what you’re talking about,” Evelyn shook her head, “I just don’t understand you two.” (She brings up a good point. (Again, why?) “The alarm has been disabled!” Evelyn smiled triumphantly. Noah looked at Copper and whispered, “The weird thing is, she only used one color of paint.” (This whole situation is just confusing. It just seems like you are presenting us a lot of information in an unorganized manner) “Wait for it...” Evelyn cautioned, “Step into the middle of the hallway.” They did so, and a camera pointed right at them. Hurriedly, they dove into a recycling bin(I thought they disabled the security system ... ). Two men with patches stepped in. After a glance, the three knew that these men were from Security Room B (So they seem to know the outline of the ship ... so why complicate things?) . “Hm...” one said, “They must have gone down the other hall.” The men ran down a passage opposite of where they came from. “Let’s go,” Copper suggested. They ran down the hall until the saw a door labeled, Security Room B. Cautiously, they creaked the door open. the room was empty, two chairs sitting in front of a bunch of screens and a giant, complex keyboard. (Do a couple of stowaways really need the attention of ALL the guards in that room? it just seems very unrealistic and far-fetched) “So there are only two people who know of us. All we need it to erase the evidence!” Evelyn stated, “And we have about three minutes left to make this work.” She started pressing keys at what looked like random. Copper looked at Noah. “She’s good at this kind of thing,” he explained. “Almost... got it...” Evelyn cringed, “Ugh, of course.” The screen lit up. “Duel Puzzle activated,” a mechanical voice said. A moment later, Evelyn was stuck in the simulator. “Tech Fairies,” Evelyn groaned. Both sides were littered with the cards. The opponent had a Tech Fairy Princess (2000), Tech Fairy Maiden (1000), and Tech Fairy Guard (1400), along with 3 cards face-down. Evelyn had Magic Charge and Mystical Space Typhoon face-down, and a Tech Fairy Servant (200), Tech Fairy Star (500), and Tech Fairy Song (1000) on her field. All monsters were in Attack Position. Evelyn smiled as she saw the “Change of Heart” in her hand, plus the Tech Fairy Archer (1800 ATK) and Tech Fairy Lance (1400 ATK), along with a Double Summon and a Banner of Courage. (This puzzle is extremly confusing to readers, or maybe it's just me. You may need more opinions on this one) Simulator: 7500 Evelyn: 2100 Evelyn thought fast. “I activate ‘Change of Heart’ to take control of that Princess of yours!” The monster’s eyes changed color when it switched sides of the field. A trap card flipped face-up. “I activate ‘Synchro Bomb’ to destroy ‘Tech Fairy Princess’,” came the mechanical voice. “Huh? Well, I Summon ‘Tech Fairy Archer and use ‘Double Summon’ to bring out ‘Tech Fairy Lance’,” Evelyn was struggling to figure something out. “I Tribute ‘Tech Fairy Servant to double the attack of my ‘Archer’ (3600 ATK).” “Not so fast” the computer countered in it’s dull mechanical voice. “I activate ‘Ring of Soul Destruction. I target your ‘Tech Fairy Lance’. Now we each take damage equal to its attack.” Simulator: 7500-3600=3900 Evelyn: 2100-3600=0 (this was just a big slap in the face to Evelyn. She was presented as a prodigy and very knowledgeable of cards, effects, combos, etc. There was no real reason for to fail at this puzzle) The simulation faded. “Wow,” Noah smirked, “You just lost a duel, on your turn, in thirty seconds!” “Stop talking. I’ll take on this computer and win it for us!” Copper was ready for anything. “I activate ‘Change of Heart’ to take control of your ‘Defender’. Next, I tribute ‘Servant’ to double the attack of ‘Tech Fairy Star’ (1400 ATK). “Now I use the Spell card ‘Banner of Courage, and have my monsters all gain 200 ATK!” The monsters adjusted their attack points. The computer, being a computer, showed absolutely no facial expression. “Now, I Summon to the field my ‘Tech Fairy Archer’ (1800+200=2000) ATK, followed up by a ‘Double Summon to bust out ‘Tech Fairy Lance’ (1600). Simulator: 7500 Copper: 2100-1000=1100 “Now I use the Trap, “Ring of Soul Destruction”, targeting my ‘Tech Fairy Princess’.” Simulator: 7500-3000=4500 Copper: 1100-3000=0 Once again, the simulation faded. “Seriously? The main character loses?” Noah sighed, “at least you hit a minute of dueling, twice as long as Evelyn.” “Oh, grow up,” Evelyn griped, “let’s see how you do.” “Yes let’s,” Noah agreed. He went into the simulator. Now, I gain 500 Life Points thanks to my ‘Star’s ability (500x2=1000).” Simulator: 7500 Noah: 2100+500=2600 “So, what the heck is he doing?” Copper asked Evelyn, “Wouldn’t he want to power up his strongest card?” “Actually, it’s not a bad idea. Anything with higher than 2000 ATK would totally obliterate Noah’s chance at winning, due to that trap card the computer has,” Evelyn explained, “not a bad idea at all!” “Next, I use the effect of my ‘Archer’ to negate the effect of your ‘Princess’ and halve her ATK.” Now entering the Battle Phase!” Noah pointed straight at the computer. The computer didn’t even flinch. “Hm... interesting,” Evelyn commented, “He already knows exactly what he’s doing! Maybe someone could take a lesson or two from him.” “Yeah. I wonder who’d pay for lessons from a thirteen-year-old (So they're around 13, give-or-take, yet Copper was stuck "in traffic" and suffered a "flat tire" in the first chapter ") though...” Copper received a smack in the face. “Gee whiz, I’m agreeing with you, for crying out loud!” “Now go, ‘Tech Fairy Lance’, attack the opponent’s Maiden.” The computer flashed, “I use ‘Tech Fairy Maiden’s ability. When she is attacked, I double her attack until the end of the battle. (900x2=1800) “I knew that. For that exact reason, I negate the attack using Lance’s ability, halving the attack of your ‘Tech Fairy’ and destroying 1 Spell or Trap. And as a bonus, my ‘Tech Fairy Star’ gives me 500 more Life Points (900/2=450),” Noah smiled and pointed at the opponent’s face-down ‘T.F. Revenge’, “and as for the trap, I destroy that card!” The Trap blew up into a shining display of color. Simulator: 7500 Noah: 2600+500=3100 “Next, I attack with my ‘Defender’. Take down that ‘Princess’!” Noah commanded. “Now my ‘Defender’ negates it’s own attack to double the attack points of one of my ‘Tech Fairies’. I double the attack of my ‘Star’ (1000x2=2000). Now due to its effect, I gain 500 extra Life Points.” Simulator: 7500 Noah: 3100+500=3600 “Next up is my ‘Archer’. Attack his ‘Princess’! (1400-1000=400)” Simulator: 7500-400=7100 Noah: 3600 The computer flashed, “I activate the Trap Card ‘Ring of Soul Destruction’, targeting ‘Tech Fairy Star’ to inflict 2000 points of damage to both of us.” Simulator: 7100-2000=5100 Noah: 3600-2000=1600 “Now I attack with ‘Tech Fairy Song’. (2000-900=1100) Simulator: 5100-1100=4000 Noah: 2100 “Go, ‘Tech Fairy Star’, attack him directly (2000 ATK). Simulator: 4000-2000=2000 Noah: 2100 “Now, I play ‘Banner of Courage and instantly destroy it with ‘Mystical Space Typhoon’,” Noah flashed his teeth. The computer didn’t budge. “What the heck is he doing?”Copper asked, “Why didn’t he play that card earlier?” “If he had, then the opponent would have used ‘Ring of Soul Destruction’ to wipe out the rest of his Life Points. This way, he can...” Evelyn gasped. "Oh, sure. Leave me hanged," Copper sighed with disgust. ‘Banner of Courage’ blew up, but Noah smiled. “I use the Trap card ‘Magic Charge’. Now that you destroyed my trap card (How did the computer destroy his trap, and why did he MST his own spell card?), I deal 2000 points of damage to both of us!” Simulator: 2000-2000=0 Noah: 2100-2000=100 The simulation faded. “Wow,” Noah smirked, “Only took me a minute!” “Oh, rub it in. Anyway, here, watch this,” Evelyn took her turn at the computer, pressing more buttons. “There. Just to be safe, I replaced all the footage on the back hallway cameras. Now, it’s like we weren’t there at all. Now if you just go hide somewhere, we’ll be on our boat to Duel Academe. (You spelled academy right earlier...) Copper nodded and climbed into the trash. “Alright. Thanks for everything.” Noah and Evelyn nodded back as they climbed out of the boat. “We’ll see you there!”
DONE! Anyway what is wrong with your story is the extreme lack of detail you put into it (or don't put into it). The Cliches i pointed out (and the ones i didn't, such as the whole "sneaking on a boat to an island") aren't bad, but I say try to avoid them, because it will surprise readers, keep us interested, and make your story different from other ones. Seeing as you constantly break the "fourth-wall", i find it as part of your story, and it's very interesting in itself. However, I'm left wondering where will the plot go with this story. It seems like you aren't putting to much thought into certain parts, which is part of the extreme lack of detail that is present (more like not present) in this story. Not only that, but your spelling errors, sentence structure skills, and grammar skills are dreadful. I mean no offense, or disrespect, but I suggest you re-read your chapters slowly and out-loud. You will find many of your spelling errors, grammar errors, punctuation errors, and sentence structure/organization errors. So, overall, the idea behind your story is pretty good, however your writing is pretty ... well ... bad. The constant error and tense slips is distracting, as well as the lack of details. P.S. The Duels were done pretty nicely, but i will watch your hand and how many cards you use at one time. While you did not use more cards that were in your hand (I counted), it felt like you did. just keep a watchful eye on that.
Randomflyingobjects
Thanks so much for that critque! With it, I just revised chapter 1, and it even gave me an idea for a later event. I'll be working on rewriting the other two chapters as well, but your comment was definitely my favorite one yet, oddly enough.
guuu1234
I'm glad you took it well and I'm extremely glad that you revised the first chapter, as it was a much more enjoyable read. I know so much more about the characters now, and a general idea of everything. You literally painted a picture in my head with the descriptions you provided. I also like the little humor you put in there, it made me chuckle You, kind sir, officially have my respect. You took my criticism like a champ, but still stayed true to your style as a writer. I truly commend you on that, and I look forward to future chapters.
DeathWish5
Excellent Story! 5/5 stars. Great so far. It was great with the revisions and other fixes.
Randomflyingobjects
Chapter 2 has been revised, so I'm thinking we need to BUMP!
guuu1234
Nice job on the revised chapter, though there are still some spelling errors. I would point them out for you, but my internet connection is too crappy. I just now noticed this has been up since January; do you think you will be able to roll out chapters a little faster? Randomflyingobjects
Fixxed the spelling errors, at least for chapter 2. About my chapter publishing rate, you've obviously never read Yugioh: the Wanderer. After I fix up chapter 3, I'll get back to Chapter 4, where I've just gotten into the Duel. Randomflyingobjects
Ha. Ha. Anyway, can anyone else see this weird gibberish, like <br /> and </p>, or is it just me? I speant forever deleting most of it, but now it's back.
Des HERO
Yeah, I can see it (Too bad it is interfering with my attempt at reading it by slowing me down). All I can guess by what is happening is that you might have Bold/Italic or in some cases Align your work unsuccessfully. Anyway, good luck with fixing the problem. Randomflyingobjects
I tried to delete it all, but it just came back. :-/ I'll try to get it out one more time, and hopefully, the last.
Randomflyingobjects
Cleaned out everything through chapter 2. After cleaning and revising chapter 3, I'll get back to work on Chapter 4. Bump. Finished editing chapter 3. Now to chapter 4!
Dr. Cakey
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...I'm a bit conflicted. It's fun, definitely, but something about the duels. Maybe it's that every single monster has an effect to win the duel in one turn?
