Brandon Michael Geren
Should be semi-limited. Torrential Tribute is a better card than Dark Hole. Torrential Tribute stops combos instead of stopping the aftermath. That being said, my whole point is that the start of a new format includes slower decks and would make Dark Hole often be a one for one removal card. Later on in the format, as explosive decks are released, Dark Hole would be dropped for hand traps to prevent the combos and such.
CDDRodrigo
Dark Hole is still a game-changer on it's own. Although the old argument of HERP DERP STARDUST became HERP DERP ZENMAINES. And Zenmaines is a card that is seen much more frequently than Stardust was. Should be fine @2, but I don't expect it happening.

RAEGING D0GKING
No, I prefer 1 Heavy and 1 Dark Hole as its the players fault for using it straight away, if anything its like you can use dark holes randomly.

TheKaitoKid
I agree with Dogking. This should stay at 1. So should Heavy. Both offer an out in a tight situation and everybody deserves 1. It does actually require some skill and putting it @2 would just promote recklessness. I've dueled people who Dark Hole'd my one strong monster only to regret it when I came back with 2 more. Having 2 lets people recklessly play Dark Hole whenever they don't have a monster cause who cares there's another one in the deck.

These are for a fan-made banlist, and are not predictions. They are things to do for an ideal format that promotes skillful play. Lonk
Trust me, idiots will use Dark Hole whenever the chance they get. It takes skill to hold onto it, but I don't think the world of online dueling is ready for such responsibility yet.

The point of this format is to have like 1 or 2 monsters on the field at max at any given time, and if you have any more then they're floaters. If you choose to go against this very often, then you're likely bad and have made my format better.
plays4days
but most players get their victories from making +s via their own monsters destroying their opponents monsters, so Dark Hole doesn't make that much of a difference.
