In a nutshell, it basically cannot be taken down unless the Internet is taken down. This is done by "downloading" files and such from other comupters, not the internet.

Your move government.

The only thing is that can't they still take away the client or something like that? It's basically torrenting where you don't actually have to go google the torrents. Or am I missing something?

Also the Internet is the world's largest country and taking it down is completely stupid and impossible among other things. Oh btw Miror I'm still discussing.

The benefits and dependencies of the internet outweigh the illegal actions that can be done and gotten away with. Pulling the internet down would be like forbidding anyone in New York to be outside after 10 at night to prevent rapes and late-night robberies, it's ridiculous.
If they want to focus more on copyright issues, just go after things individually like they've always done.
