evilfusion
Okay. So why would he ever bother making Giant Killer when this is a gadjillion times better?
Well, based on the effect, if he used this, he'd take 3000 points of Damage during his opponent's next turn. The delay is also annoying, I think. IV is sadistic and enjoys being in a position of power over his opponents. Giant Killer has an immediate advantage to gain if his opponent controls Xyz. If he used this over Giant Killer all the time, he'd probably never use the effect because when you're dueling with 4000 LP, that's practically a self-imposed kill. Also, he used this during a Tag Duel against Yuma and Kaito. Its 3000 ATK was plenty to win, but because Kaito and Yuma kept surviving his "fanservice", he went for a last resort. It would defeat everyone in the Duel except III. This seems to be the first Number with a "4" since Number 34.
No. I'm referring to the fact that until now the number 4 has only appeared on 1 Number. 0 = 10, 20, 30, 40, (50), 07 1 = ...10, 11, 12, 15, 16, 17, 19, 61 2 = 12, 20, 25, 32 3 = 30, 32, 33, 34, 39, 83 4 = 34, 40 5 = 15, 25, 56 6 = 16, 56, 61, 96 7 = 07, 17 8 = 83 (wait, seriously? That's it?) 9 = 19, 39,

evilfusion
Because I still think of Number C39 as "Chaos Number 39", otherwise written as CNo.
Greiga
Isn't this the anime where people hide effects till the last minute, can tell the future, and can make randomly make cards overnight? Gimmick Puppets were probably a control deck until he got Giant Killer, or he got Giant Killer as-is and made an archetype off it, and then he touched the 40th blank Number card and that became this card, as a sort of backup boss. Armored Ninja was explained and idk about Massu Maq since I gotta catch up about 20 episodes. If I repeated stuff, it's mostly because I only skimmed. Also shouldn't we discuss this in the actual anime topic?
Well, we got onto the tangent of why the hell another Number card is part of a (currently) anime-only archetype when the entire point of Numbers is that they have no bearing on the "real" world. They're foreign cards and therefore should not be part of an archetype in-name, even if they don't directly support them. Gimmick Puppets haven't really classified themselves as any type of Deck strategy. IV's entire strategy is to bring out a Number and then burn the hell out of the opponent with Giant Killer. Baby Face revives an opponent's destroyed monster if that monster destroyed it in battle previously. Necro Doll revives itself if you banish another copy from the Graveyard. Scarecrow's effect isnt known via anime, and Bomb Egg discards 1 to deal 800. Gimmick Box negates Damage and Summons a Level 8 Trap Monster with the same ATK. Greiga
Well if they can make cards within very thin boundaries and have them be legal, what's to say he didn't 1. Get Giant Killer, his desires to cause pain and destruction or w/e 2. Make the Gimmick Puppets as a deck to get out No.15 3. Pick up 40 later, and because Numbers are the persons desires, he not only gets anoter burn Xyz, but it's also a Puppet. Because I'm viewing it as "the cards are of another world" and card =/= the monster inside the card.
CommanderVolt
Im pretty sure when the Gimmick Puppet Xyz monsters convert over to NA, they'll probably lose the Gimmick Puppet portion of their name... Just a thought though. OT: Wooooooow. My god the way it activated its effect was just incredible. Card is epic, and is going to recieve some sort of nerf no doubt. Also, i wonder if anyone else noticed that Photon Pressure World miraclously didnt activate when Kaito Summoned Kaiser.
It was noticed. I have a few small theories. - Dealing damage is optional - Kaiser was treated as controlled by Yuma because Kaito Tributed his monsters for it (it's a Tag-Team Duel, so this is possible) - Plot hole
