Story:

You are a mercenary for the kingdom of Zengan, hired by the king, Darach. The portal to the dark world has been opened by the dark knight, Rarvan. Demons have been streaming through for 2 weeks now, and they are causing terror throughout Zengan. Darach wants you to defeat the demons and Rarvan, and seal the portal, so the tyranny of the demons will end. You must save the kingdom!

Systems explanation:

 

Quest system: This one is mighty simple. The people of Zengan require you to do tasks for them, ranging from carrying chickens to killing dragons. Each quest has a certain requirement, such as gaining an item, or killing X amount of enemies. Each quest, once finished, gives you rewards such as EXP points, or items.

 

Level up system: More complicated then quest system, but still simple. To level up you get EXP points, gained by killing enemies or completing quests. To level up you need to get EXP points equal to your current level times the next one. Example; to get from level 3 to level 4 you need 12 EXP points, as 3X4=12. After reaching level 20, you can choose to restart from level 1. Sometimes you need to do this as certain quests require you to have reborn (the term for going from level 20 to 1) to be able to do them. Also certain enemies will only appear after you have been reborn.

 

Class system: There are five stats, and 2 classes and spirits for each stat. Also each class gives you a bonus for the stat that it is in. Example; ninjas and thieves are both for the speed stat, so they get a +2 starting for speed, and a +1 in speed each time they level up.

 

Spirit system: Goes hand and hand with the class system. Spirits just help with growth in other stats, and give you special attacks. Say you are a ninja. Your spirit is a minotaur, which is from the defense stat. Now your defense will get a +1 as well as your speed when you level up.

 

Stat system: This again is simple. You start with all stats at 1, and when you join you get 17 stat points to spend. Each time you level up you get your class and spirit bonus, and 2 stat points to spend.

 

Battle system: Each stat effects the battle in some way. To do damage, minus your attack (STR) from the enemies defense (DEF). The difference is the damage done. Spirit (SPR) is magic. To find magic damage is the same thing, spirit minus defense, but you do extra damage depending on your level. Example if you normally do 7 damage while casting magic, and you are level 5, you do 12 damage (7+5). Speed (SPD) determines how many actions you can do in a move. All you do is minus your speed with their speed. Accuracy (ACU) determines critical hits. While using a non-magic attack, find the difference between your accuracy and the enemies speed. That difference is added to your total. You get a critical hit when you are at a certain HP. For levels 1-5 it's 5 HP, for levels 6-10 it's 8 HP, for levels 11-15 its 12 HP, and for levels 16-20, its 17 HP.
