THROWDOWN
SKIP to the bottom if you haven't got time to read. If you have I would appreciate you reading it to get a better feel for what the thread topic is about. I don't know if you guys have ever watched what I consider to be REAL professional wrestling. What I consider to be real professional wrestling is basically any televised/non-televised event that isn’t modern day RAW, Smackdown or TNA. Let’s go a little further into why I don’t deem RAW, Smackdown or TNA to be REAL professional wrestling. I don’t really care about the cheesy plot line or the horrendous acting, which just comes as a part of pro wrestling. No, it’s the lack of skill in the execution of the moves. I have worked as a professional wrestler and I can honestly say that we had live events every single night and that all of them went off without so much as a hiccup. If you watch modern day Smackdown/Raw the only athletes that are somewhat professional and impressive are Sin Cara and Rey Mysterio. For those of you who don’t know who Sin Cara or Rey Mysterio are, let me tell you a little bit about why I think these 2 wrestlers are the only noteworthy ones in today’s wrestling game. Sin Cara executes high flying moves and ground moves with near to no hitch, as does Rey Mysterio. Not only do they execute high flying moves (meaning that they jump off the top rope and such), they do it with grace. Grace is something a lot of modern day wrestlers lack, they all go for very obvious and boring ground moves and aren’t willing to take risks. Whatever happened to wanting to be at the top of your game!? Going down in WWE history doesn’t mean jack. Going down in people’s memories means everything, that’s what you should aim for as a wrestler, these days it is all about the money. The only memorable wrestlers that I can think of that took hardly any risks were: . Hulk Hogan . The Rock That’s it. I want to see WWE go into a phase they haven’t even been in yet, where the wrestlers are building tension on stage through showboating for 10, maybe 15 minutes and I want to see effort and time put into the technicality of the moves, rather than spending 40 minutes a day at the gym, bench pressing the weight of the worlds [s]strongest[/s] fattest man and calling it a day. When I was in the game I used to spend literally the length of a school day practising wrestling and executing the moves properly and 2 hours after that working out, all of this for a pittance of a wage. So why did I do it!? Because I loved it, I loved the showboating, the story building and most of all the fighting! Since when did the story become the most important aspect of wrestling? The story is just your dessert; people come for the fights and to get sucked into them. Not to watch them blank-eyed. So, that is what I consider to be real wrestling. Anyway, about 4 months ago I started writing screenplays for televised wrestling events, just as a hobby. I feel like I want to take it a bit further but if I were to I know I would be a major wrestler as a part of the show. My stage name is Dos Cara, meaning ‘Two face’, this already sets up so much good writing within wrestling. Could it mean because he has 2 personalities? Are these personalities’ opposites? Is one extremely good and the other extremely evil? And so on. I was just wondering what do you guys do for fun? Is there anything you just do, and won’t even care if you wouldn’t make it professionally? If so, good on you.

T.D

Why not just use said rant as a thread on it's own? Why even title it as something else when the title is misleading? Why are your surprised at the confusion you're receiving? Why address said confusion in an adversarial manner when you could've done such in a polite manner? Confusion is expected in threads like these, but I suppose it's not as bad as stupid spamming. On Topic: What I do for fun is simple: Roleplaying, and some part-time amateur GFX work. Just Crouton
I just watch wrestling for the goofy promos. Everything Scott Steiner says is instantly quotable. TNA should give him a mic and let him talk trash like CM Punk. I draw stuff.

FindingTheEverlight
I just watch it to hear Jack Swagger on and on about random rants and issues with the other wrestlers instead of him actually wrestling. His lisp is hilarious.
