[color=#0000cd]So I was checking up on the Roosterteeth site (they're the guys who make Red vs. Blue and do other various awesome things) the other day when Burnie, the guy who owns the company, posted a story about how he met Gus, who is a guy that works at Roosterteeth. It was a pretty cool story and has stuck with me for these past couple days and now I'm thinking about the story of how I met my best friend.[/color]

[color=#0000cd]This is a thread to talk about our best friends. The buddies who will always have your back and you'll always have theirs. The people in our lives who we can just say one word with and burst out laughing together. Pals who can do some things that seriously piss you off but the next day you can fist bump and say that one word. Or at least they should do those things with you. You might have other ways you define a best friend and that's totally cool too.[/color]

[color=#0000cd]YCM, let's just take a moment to think about our best friends and talk about them. They can be from YCM, your life you might have out of here, or even both. Although I'm not exactly just limiting it to those two. Maybe there are other places you have or have had some best friends. Even old best friends from your childhood are open to discussion if you want to bring them up. Maybe your best friend is a lover of sorts. And remember, it's always possible to have more than one best friend. I wouldn't recommend more than one lover though. This is a thread that's probably been done before but I feel like it's something that should be brought up again just so people are able to stop and think about the awesomest people in our lives.[/color]

I don't remember how we met (most likely just some random status sh*t) or how exactly we clicked so much for two people who seem so different but we did. He's just such a fauking cool guy. I can't name a single person who doesn't like him. He's so damn likable that even I, the biggest a**hole here, loves him in the least homosexual way possible. Of course there are other awesome people here that I get along with for no real reason other than the awesomness that radiates off of them but this guy pretty much takes the cake and adds his own icing.[/color]

[color=#0000cd]My best friend in real life does have an account here but I'm not counting him as my YCM best friend. Not just because he's inactive and I certainly don't put Noob (WTFauKorean) above him but he's just simply my best friend. Thinking about it I shouldn't even classify him as "real life" best friend. I should mention now that his username here is Soul Chain and I'll refer to him as Chain in the rest of this thread. Chain is just plain my best friend. I can do pretty much anything with him and it'd be silly to limit him to just real life since we've been known to play MMOs together even if we never seem committed enough to play that much. I still remember the first time I met him. It wasn't even that great of a start. It was 5th grade and he was one of two new kids in our class. I don't think we really got off to that great of a start since the first time we looked at eachother he seemed ready to kill me. I don't know how much longer it was in the year but I was hanging out with some other friend and we were pretending to be pokemon. I was Blaziken and my friend was Swampert. Third generation was new then and I still liked pokemon. It was then that he walked up and asked to play. It turned out he liked pokemon too and he played as Sceptile which was appareantly his favorite so it worked out well. After that we hung out a lot more and became best friends. We fought a lot as best friends do but I'm glad I can cheat at hide and seek by saying "rectum" to get him to laugh, dislike red heads with a passion yet love him in a completely non homosexual way, beat him at that akward game simply because I know he will never seriously go that far, but most of all I'm glad that I can call him my best friend even though we haven't gone to the same school or lived in the same town since 7th grade.[/color]

[color=#0000cd]Both Noob and Chain are great people and I feel lucky to be able to call them my best buddies. I deal with their sh*t and they deal with mine. We're able to call eachother's bullsh*t without batting an eye.[/color]

On YCM, I'd have to say that I don't have a particular best friend. I have a group of people who I associate myself with. I estimate that I actually spend around the same amount of time with them all combined, but a few stand out more. For example, Aggro and Big Brother Desu. They. Are. AWESOME.

Well, since I'm homeschooled, I don't exactly have very many people to talk to. I'll meet up with one awesome dude at Church, and he's really cool. However, I don't really consider him my best friend. I'd have to say that KuribohX would be my best friend. I've known him since I was in Kindergarten, and even him moving ALL the way across the country didn't keep us from chatting every now and then. And since he moved back (higher up the state, but w/e), we've talked even more. It is a problem that he's so far away, and school's been nipping at both of our heels, limiting our talks, but we're still best of friends.

In real life, I move too much to have a single BEST friend. I tend to find people I like depending on where I am and talk to them though if I had to pick, I have this one friend in Dallas who I talk to about once a week but I went to school with him for 6 years before I starting my nomadic life.

I had a YCM friend named Yoshi Member who was kind of my right hand man in my shop back in 2010. I don't really know how, but we just became friends instantly. Then I left and then he disappeared off the face of the planet. :/
Also, that shop is where I met Mako. :3 At least I still have him.

I don't even know where to begin. I'm in a really tight-knit group of sixteen people and out of those sixteen that I hang out with every day at school, I consider all of them my close friends, but about six of them as my best friends because of how long we've known each other and how much we've been through.

They all take so much care of me. I don't know where I'd be without them. They keep me on my feet, but also make me feel so safe and joyous. You know the kids that burst out into a song because of something someone else said that reminds them of lyrics? That's us. And goodness, it's f***ing fun.

Bah I don't know, if I keep typing I'm just gonna spill so many feelings and emotions about my friends because they're the loves of my lives okay ijsdpojsdos.

Eh, believe it or not, I don't like the label "best friend" because if it ever came down to it, I don't think I could choose between one friend over the other (aside from YMB, and those are usually decided by how well I know each and who I knew longer v_v).
I certainly have a lot of friends I'm closer with than others, usually because we've known each other for so long.

For YCM, I guess some of closest friends would be people like DL, Black, Remo, BT, Creator, Ninjew, DMG, Deus, El (wish he were here), etc that I've known for almost 3 years now, people I've been with since the very beginning. But then there's a bunch of people I've met since then that are cool like Sonic, Jake, Desu, King, Caeda, Wraith, Jaz, Mako, everyone in Powerforce, and a whole bunch of people (there's too many to list, really) that I like just as much.

In real life, I have a few that I hope I'll always have, but I'll just tell you about one named Andrew.

I met Andrew at my school's summer camp before 3rd grade and I was told he'd be in my class come September, so I decided to warm up to him.
We hit it off pretty well and for the next 4 years, we've been good buds. We played Pokemon together, Yu-Gi-Oh together, he got me to play some sports, I got him to play some video games, it was a thrill.
However, we split apart at one time in 4th grade (this is actually one of my greatest shames, not easy to say). Andrew told me he liked a girl in our class. I've known this girl even longer than him, since preschool. So I ended up not being able to resist telling her and a friend of ours that he liked her. And it spread over the school and everyone knew about it. So he cut off our friendship saying I betrayed him. And he was totally right.
He had a birthday party later that year and of course his mom made him invite me (we had a small class, so everyone was there). He made a point to ignore me most of the time and it wasn't until downtime after everyone got their gift bags (with YGO cards inside) that I went over and said hey. I apologized and he at least accepted it, being all humble. I offered him my YGO cards since I didn't care for the game at the time and he said fine, and opened it.
Turns out I just gave him Exodia's Right Arm.
He warmed up to me after that and soon enough, we became friends again.

8 years later, we try to see each other every month or so, going out for a day to see a movie, grab lunch, and play ball or video games at my place. I'm really lucky to have met a nice, accepting, forgiving guy like Andrew who's got a heart of gold. He taught me a lot and ever since then, I've tried to resist my inner gossip and never confess someone's secrets ever again.

To me, it's not about valuing someone more than another, it's about loving everyone the same for different reasons.

I didn't exactly make too many friends on here...back when I started, only cause I was the noob, yada yada. But when I started RPing on here, I met my first friends, KujaTheMagificent/.:Abarai Renji:. and Professor Kokonoe(Back then it was Pragboy...I think). After that I started getting a bit more confident here and made friends. Which is when I began meeting people like Fuse, DL, Jake, BT, Creator, Black. But it wasn't until after I made the Vongola HQ that a few of those people, we got to know each other much better..then I was able to meet Desu, Jaz, and Wraith. After Fuse made that Trio of DEF fic, I kinda got a few more friends through it.

When I continue RPing I met MortalKombatSmoke, Cody Frost, ::Kyng::, and Mistress Aisu. So you could never say I didn't have friends here.

Before I was homeschooled for my HS years, I made a lot of friends at my old school...a lot that I can't name...cause it be a long list. None of them have any accounts here, but I'm glad that I met them. Keep in contact with them even though I don't see them often with Facebook.

Anyways, I met my best friend in kindergarten. He was the coolest guy. Even though we went to different schools after that year, we've still kept in great touch. We're almost sophomores in high school now, and even though we don't see each other much, one visit would bring it all back. We're the kind of friendship that makes inside jokes constantly, and all we do is laugh. I know he's always got my back, and I'll always have his. He's like a brother to me.

Well, I do have people I'd consider friends, but to put them as "best" friends might be over exaggerating things. At least for now. Some people I consider friends (in the loosest sense, anyways) are Desu (he's been decent to me), Verz Bahamut (he's helped me out a whole lot since I got here), and Chihaya (he's awesome and always willing to talk, especially since we often happen to end up with virtually nothing to do at around the same times.) Unfortunately, I don't have a whole list of friends like you guys, since I've only been here for what, four to five months? Plus people don't talk to me much T_T

IRL:
Now here I have quite a few besties. One particular person (who shall go un-named) I've known since first grade. Even though he's halfway across the world now, we still share jokes and talk a whole lot all the time. He's one of those people I never tire of laughing with and we're practically brothers. He's also the reason I started Yu-Gi-Oh! and we often call each other up if say, one of us got a Ultimate Rare or something TCG-related we find cool. So, yeah, he's badass.

In real life, I'd have to say my best friend is this guy I've known since... I think 4th grade, or maybe 3rd. He was friends with my best friend at the time (Who's now kind of a d-bag) and we all were playing pokemon together on the playground. I actually think I had been not liking pokemon for a little and that's what got me back in to it, but I'm not sure. Anyway, after that we started to eat lunch together with his other friend, and we played yugioh. Actually, I think the fact that he played yugioh is what got me into it. Not sure though. But whatever. Now although we go to different schools, our houses are only a little less than a mile away so yeah.
