Funny thing is, back then dumping your monsters was actually a bad thing because you needed them in your hand, making this card useless. Now look how good it is now.

*looks at how good it is now*

Am I supposed to be seeing something?

Because it's still bad :o

They do in my decks, especially Skull Servants.

I don't really want to hear your supposedly good unique builds of a deck.

Leave it for Your Deck, instead of acting like it's amazing because you use it.

I never said it was bad. It's an amazing card. Say you run a deck that OTKs, like the one I was using. Though it's a bad deck, Merchant adds to the consistency because he can mill half of my deck before I grab Rekindling or Overload Fusion.

SEE, THIS PERSON GETS IT

I'm not sure why you seem convinced this card is awful. Give one peice of justification for this belief.
Here's three.

1. Is it good this format?

No. Says nothing to Rabbit, Wind-Ups or Inzektors.

2. Is it good design?

HERP DERP LETS MAKE A CARD THAT ENCOURAGES PEOPLE TO MILL HALF THEIR DECK.

3. Is there any deck that it can be used in?

Apart from Magical Merchant Turbo, which is basically reliant on this one card otherwise it pretty much dies first turn, no.

Flamvells - Non-Magical Merchant build is 20x better.
Zombies - Non-Magical Merchant build is 20x better.
Skull Servants - Non-Magical Merchant build is 20x better.
Chaos - When all Lightsworns are better and you can easily just run Doomcalibers and Rai-Ohs for chaos fodder, meh.
Lightsworns - Uses Magical Merchant for milling. Forgets that your deck already runs about 300 milling cards.

Though, it's an Insect and therefore cool.

I dunno Rai, it definitely has its place in a few specific builds.
There are a few.

Just none worth saying massively, especially since Lightsworns will probably overshadow this card largely.

Rai, you look at the bad qualities of the card while throwing away the better qualities.

Does it promote OTKs?
Yes, it does. But these OTKs can easily be countered- add that to the fact that it has to be flipped, which is more reliant on your opponent than you, lest you play defensive (which you shouldn't be doing, as you shouldn't run traps in a Merchant centric deck), in order to activate its effect.

It's not good this format because of the destruction effects that run rampant in our meta- You have Inzektors, Rabbit, Wind-ups, and other things, all which will shut down the OTK you would usually pull off before it happens. Agents also would ruin the decks chances, as Hyperion and Gachi could easily stop it.

Good card design, though? These days, no.

Please, explain to me in detail why the decks are better without it instead of just saying "OH, THESE ARE 20X BETTER". Please, do explain. I want to see why they are so much better without merchant, since you have obviously tested with him in the deck in the first place.
