Kyng's Old Account Posted February 29, 2012 Report Share Posted February 29, 2012 Upon scanning around I found the Tiki Monsters, Continuous Trap Monsters, but more importantly Trap Monsters. Evidently, I did some research and turns out they can be used for Xyz Summons (go figure). Now, back to the Tiki monsters; they support Continuous Trap Cards which means that, in doing so, could be some sort of support for summoning Uria, Lord of Searing Flames; I decided to get some form of Xyz to work with Continuous Traps and perhaps aid the destruction of Traps to feed the deadly beast that is the Flaming Leviathan. I was originally thinking of making them FIRE or DARK Attributed, but I reclined on the decision since it didn't look the part (image by El-Bartonka). So, have a look and see if I did alright! .Rai Posted February 29, 2012 Report Share Posted February 29, 2012 First off, the lore should /somehow/ be changed, because the Trap cards aren't technically treated as Monster cards anymore, just as a Trap card, since the cards' effect is negated. Problematic on how to word it since stuff like Xyz Reborn can attach itself to Xyz monsters. The no Trap chaining ability is cool, but won't be used 90% of the time. The overall effects are rather plain since the first says: "Add 1 of this card's Trap Monster Xyz Materials to your hand." The other says: "MST or Add 1 of this card's Trap Monster Xyz Materials to your hand." Useful, yes, but, rather plainly underpowered. The most simple way of fixing it? Eh... As for the lore change Cursed suggested, allowing it to use its effect with Xyz Reborn would be a neat trick for these to pull, so leaving it at Trap would make it ideal. Finally Embodiment of Apophis will have some uses, though just getting a continuous trap to your hand is a bit meh Masser Skull is better, though to destroy spells/traps by detaching xyz material is also meh. I suppose a change to ATK & DEF should be able to somewhat serve a good purpose. As for the lore...really? I do understand your quarrel with the Continous Trap card recovery, but I felt that they could become slightly overpowered if they could recycle cards liek Mirror Force or Bottomless Trap hole; you know, super-Traps. I directed these guys for the Trap Monsters to somewhat give them juice as well as help for Uria Food ^^. Masser...hmm...interesting point you've made.
