[/quote] Didn't think I'd need to, since you didn't bother explaining yourself. But ok: As iHop said, takes 2 monsters therefore stunting swarming/building up. Also, Lava Golem does 1000 burn damage each turn without having to tribute or take damage yourself. Which makes is superior. This makes it more compatible with stalling, such as nightmares steelcage, since the burn damage will happen without having to destroy your own field to make it happen. even the Lava Golem OTK with ring of destruction and barrel behind the door does more burn damage than Volcanic Queen would. If your opponent plays a swarm deck, by giving them a Queen, they can hit you for 1000 and take no damage themselves if they have enough monsters. Whereas Golem's damage to controller is mandatory, and can only deal damage to you via attack. Again, forgive me if my reasoning is stupid. You side Queen for Laggia decks cause they are the only reason you lose (aside shi-en), and they will obviously side out Veiler unless they are retarded. If you are scared about 1k burn from your queen per turn, you are doing it wrong. Burn decks are designed to kill your opponent in under 5 turns. It's not about the burn, its about the threats.. Laggia will only work once in that way, when Lava Golem wouldn't even need a Laggia setup for the same effect. So I'll stall thanks...
