I'm guessing he's referring to this:
A dissertation or thesis[sup][1][/sup] is a document submitted in support of candidature for an academic degree or professional qualification presenting the author's research and findings.
(Wikipedia)
I am still pretty far from University, so that's a no.

I can't imagine why writing a thesis would cause you so much stress. With writing skills like yours, it must be a breeze.

I'm working on my Masters thesis now. It's really not that special; with a Masters thesis, you're not publishing a new result, you're expositing on a result that has already been established. In other words, the Masters thesis is basically a glorified book report. It's not until you get to the Ph.D. thesis that you start publishing new material and therefore start actually mattering.

Yeah, you might be 15, but - okay, I'll say it. I'm 14 years old. Didn't wanna say it, but whatever.

I write lots of English thesis stuff on my internet education program without much trouble. And I'm not even in a country that speaks English.

I think you're just not trying hard enough.

Also I feel like responding to Darkplant now. To summarize, you're still one of the most intelligent people on the site. If anyone treats you differently just because they found out you were young like 5 seconds ago, then they need to leave.

If you're just learning the English language, then congrats. It's a difficult language to master.
I would like to disagree with you, miss.

I never had any sort of special class on English, just the regular ones in school, and I am sure I can speak your language very... decently, at least.

I learnt almost everything from the Internet, and from the fact that all cool sites are not available in my native language.

With that said, and based on my experience with Skype, talking to a lot of British and American people, I can safely say that I can make a thesis on English.

In fact, I might end up having to make one during my University time, as my subjects use a lot of the English language.

Good point! I'm just saying that, to me, it seems like this language would be hard to master with all the silent letters and all of the wacky pronunciations that it has in it. Then again, maybe I'm just being silly. xD

The thing about English is that, sometimes, a word can have multiple meanings. Like, "take" for example. I have an English to Portuguese dictionary where the word "take" has one full page full of meanings and usage. But English is a fairly easy language to learn after you get a good grasp of the basic rules. It doesn't have accents, a few words are much simpler than in other languages, and it's overally "enforced" all around the world because it's the current Universal Language.

The word 'set' is widely considered the hardest word in the English language to define. It has over 40 meanings LOL.

I'm learning Spanish, Latin, Greek, Mandarin and French, and I still think that Spanish is the easiest language to learn even with accents.

English just has far too many grammatical exceptions.

Haha, English is pretty much the only language I know, so I'll take your word for it. ^^

I'm taking Spanish right now, though. And maybe Japanese in college!

Spanish is not as easy as I first thought when I began having classes of it at school. It does have some "weird" rules as well.

...Maybe I'm a bit biased because I absolutely love English and I speak it since I was 13, and now I can watch movies without subtitles, listen to songs (which is the hardest way to identify phrases) and understand everything, et cetera.

I still make some silly mistakes, but hardly. And if I happen to make my desired trip around the world (I WILL VISIT EACH ONE OF YOU), I won't be completely lost.

...except on France. They hate English.

I still can't believe a monkey can speak english so well...

Still, I always thought english seemed like an easy language, it doesn't have masculine and feminine words, for example, and it's easy to make sense of what someone is saying even if they don't say it properly.

Although only other language I ever learnt it french and have no idea what other languages are like, so I can't really say much.

Same here.=/
The kind of English I learned at school was fine to get into literary works and analyse these (since I took a literature section).
But as sad as it sounds, I learned to hold a conversation with English-speaking people by becoming more active on the Internet.

Got the grammar, spelling and such things down, but everyone and their grandma can recognize that it's definitely not my native language.x)

And it's true, learning foreign languages in France is...well, let's say most people do take English and German courses at some point, but quite a lot of them can barely say a few words.

OP, SEE HOW MANY PEOPLE REPLIED TO YOUR TOPIC?

Even if you know how to speak basic English, no one will believe it if you can't type correctly.
