Discard 2 cards. Target and Tribute 1 face-up monster on your side of the field, and target 1 face-up card on your opponent's side of the field. Choose a proper noun that occurs in both of the targets' card text. Check all cards your opponent controls, your opponent's hand, and all cards they draw (until the end of your opponent's next turn after this card's activation), and destroy all cards whose card text contains the chosen word.

I get what your trying to do, but the OCG is not correct, and its extremely situational. How often are you going to play with someone who uses the same cards as you?

I thought it would be extremely unbalanced if you only needed to target the opponent's card. Any suggestions as to another cost?

There is always option of choosing word "card" or "monster" :)
Anyway, nice idea

Proper nouns only, so you'll probably be crippling archetypes.

Post the effect, I can't be bothered to fix it continuously scrolling up and down, typing each word.

"Choose a proper noun that occurs in both of the targets' card text" <----Ok, I don't get where you're going with this

can you explain please?

You choose a word in the card text that is a noun, and begins with a capital letter. Effectively, you can choose to limit the opponent's usage of cards that are a part of an archetype. You can't choose "Summon", "Draw", etc. because they are verbs, but you can choose "Monster" or "Deck" if they are capitalized in the text, and any other cards that your opponent has with an occurence of a capitalized "Monster" or "Deck" in the text is destroyed by the effect.
