Honestly, "it's not you, it's me" or "it's complicated" is actually a nice way of saying things.:/ If things don't work out with some people, try again or move on. If you want to discover and live something new (which won't be the case everyday, trust me), the best way is to look for it yourself. Take up a new hobby, try something you've never before, etc. But most of all, even if some people may not be great, don't try to shove failures on others, like the idea that they're apparently boring and not living up to your standards of a world full of adventures everyday. Look at the situations and at who made what go wrong. Try to work on more things on your own, if there's little chance of them coming to you. ...Yeah.:/ As for myself, I'm part of these people who tend to whine about meaningless everyday things like a bus being ridiculously late, but who have an overall optimistic view on things. We provide our answers. You then in turn say we are all wrong and only one person provided the correct answer. I'm sorry, but since when have opinions been wrong? I'm going to go out on a limb here and say you're going to try to use that to claim someone in this thread is an idiot. Before you do that, explain to me how we are suppose to know it's about your friend and not you when you made it seem like it was about you? We aren't. On that note, I must point out that I'm positive that the story IS about you and that you are simply trying to find a backdoor to the "situation" you now find yourself in. He says it's about himself in the OP, then says it's about his friend on the very next page. He tells us he is listening but is deciding to go NOBODY UNDERSTANDS MY PAIN even though he is the proper age to be setting his life straight. He writes a paragraph on how I didn't use the right punctuation mark, and then proceeds to make my eyes bleed by writing bad grammar again and telling me "I could write properly but I'm lazy." Maybe people might understand you better if they knew what the high flying f*** you were saying? tl;dr People will take you seriously if you act like you care, an why are you going to YCM for advice if you refuse to listen? Your question in your story? Well, why people care is because we don't enjoy stink generally, even our own. I think that may explain your pessimism: I always feel much better after a bath or something, even shaving despite the horrid itches! They talk behind your back either to a - Not offend you (usually in the case of friends) or b - They're being snide and cruel (human nature, to be honest). There is a point of being happy! Other people prefer a content person, even if they don't address it everyday, it's more of a concious level of thought. I'm not sure if you'll be interested by this point, but guys do find cheery and happy girls a lot more attractive in general (am I right guys? ), but I know a very common phenomena in boys: "We're intimidated by pretty girls in general in fear of rejection and humiliation." so don't be afraid to make the first step; that's why me and my girl are together at the moment (although I do have a thing for shy girls, and she looked so cute asking me!). I do know what you mean, why bother if you're enjoying being inside? I do a similar thing to be honest, I'm usually in my room. I suppose it just generally makes you feel better about yourself, boosts your self-esteem. Also harrassment is against the rules and sometimes the law, so you should probably stop. tl;dr is commom knowledge and you should feel ashamed for not knowing what it means.
