Sp Summon Birds (9/9)

So, let's get to it then:

This set is, as it's name implies, Winged Beasts who're designed to Special Summon fast for easy Synchro / Xyz Summons, but because of that I feel that they may be on the Overpowered Borderline and thus some may need some tweaking to make them much more balanced: this little set of 6 includes 2 Effect Monsters, one with Alternative Artwork, 1 Spell, 1 Trap, and 2 Synchro Monsters. The set's artwork was done by Sword-Summoner on Photobucket.

While this card is face-up on the field its Attribute is also treated as WATER. Each time you Special Summon monster(s); increase your Life points by 500.

While this card is face-up on the field its Attribute is also treated as FIRE. Each time you Special Summon monster(s): you can pay 500 Life Points; draw 1 card (You cannot Normal or Special Summon after using this card's effect).

Lore: 2 Level 4 or lower Winged Beast Monsters
When this card is selected as an attack target: detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; negate the attack. Then, draw cards from your Deck x the multiples of 1000 in the difference of ATK between this card and the attacking monster. You can return this card to the Extra Deck; Special Summon 1 Winged Beast Monster from your Graveyard. You must have at least 1 Xyz Material attached to this card to activate and resolve this effect.

While this card has Xyz Materials; this card is unaffected by effects your opponent controls. When your opponent activates an effect that destroy(s) monsters on your side of the field; you can attach 1 of those monsters to this card as an Xyz Material instead. During your Standby Phase: detach 1 Xyz Material from this card.

While this card is face-up on the field its Attribute is also treated as LIGHT. Each time you Special Summon monster(s): you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; draw 1 card (You cannot Normal or Special Summon after using this card's effect). When this card is destroyed by battle: banish 1 Winged Beast from your Graveyard; Special Summon 1 Winged Beast from your hand or Graveyard.

You can loop soldier and princess birds to synchro summon twice in a turn. Tribute a soldier bird to special summon a Princess Bird, then special summon a second soldier bird from your grave. Becuase soldier bird special summoned, special summon the first soldier bird, sync for 7 and then normal summon a winged beast, tribute it for princess bird and sync for a second level 7. I'm guessing that was intended?

Either way it makes for fast and simple, but not too overpowered (at least if you use the synchro's in this set) to play. Good Job. I know you said this'd be it for the set but it has potential, will you consider making more?

Birdfence is completely useless as you cannot chain a Spell Speed 1 card to a Spell Speed 2 card. I'd say make it a Counter Trap and ditch the draw effect.

1 - I did think Aeroraura would be somewhat too abusive; I'll add a cost, I think banishing from the Graveyard would disrupt their entire flow.
2 - I completely derped there, it was meant to be a Quick Play Spell Card; I don't know why you'd want to ditch the Drawing effect, if anything that makes it a much better card. Any reason you say that, so I can justifiably remove it?

I'll consider making a Boss monster for this set, or maybe a Rank 3, 4 & 7 Xyz if I can find good enough images, otherwise that's it; I'm glad you think the set has potential, I do appreciate the comments. ^_^

[/quote]They will, Quick-Play Spell Cards are at Spell Speed 2, which means they can chain to Spell Speed 1 & 2 Cards; the only thing they won't chain to would be Counter Trap Cards.[hr]Updated and made the fixes!

Because with the draw effect it comes off a +1. Without it, the card effect is a fair trade.

[/quote]Considering the fact it's a situation card, I don't see how removing the Draw effect would be any good.

I'm actually surprised no-one has seen the Broken Nature of Princess Bird yet; I'll be editing her asap.
