Wonder Magician 1: Mist Wurm 1: Number 39: Utopia 1: Number 30: Acid Golem of Destruction 1: Number 17: Leviathan Dragon 1: Leviair the Sea Dragon 1: Chimeratech Fortress Dragon [/spoiler] So I haven't really played the game that much for the past few months (IRL)...one because I'm usually busy or have better things to do with my time...and two because I wanna be a meta whore and play Dino-Rabbit but I can't afford to (well I can, but I just refuse to spend $500+ on a card game I mostly play for fun). Anyway I was derpin' around on DN with my friend who lives out in Cali, talking about our plans for Sunday and other irrelevant junk I'm sure you guys don't care to know about when told him I was heading to Locals after a 2-3 month break. We discussed a few deck types I can run until I get all my Six Sam cards in the mail and we decided on T.G....one because they fit my play style (I'm a fan of slower more control oriented decks) and two...it was the best deck type I currently have available to me. So we tossed something together, play tested a few games on DN, then went back to derpin it up with Wind-Ups and Dino-Rabbit. So I got there.. saw couple of new faces, said whats up to the usually, then proceeded to enter. I got my pack and pulled a Tour Bus (so my day was already a plus). We all sat around the tables talking trash and free dueling with fun decks till the pairings were up. 1st. Round Me (T.G.) Guy I never saw before (Hopeless Chaos Dragon Thingy) Game One: I won the die role and opened with a Warwolf, Starlight Road, D.Prison, TG1-EM1, Duality and Horn I Duality into Warning and set up my board then passed play. He goes into Future Fusion, thinking he was going to do the usual Hopeless shenanigans but instead he does the Chaos variation and gets out Pulsar which I Warning. He Normal summons White Stone and then goes into Darkness Metal. He does call prio for some reason so I TG1-EM1. He passes turn and just beat him down for game cuz he couldn't recover. Game Two: He opens with 3 back row and passes. I summon Warwolf and poke at him while setting up my back row. This goes on for 3 turns until he was able to some how get out shooting star...I think he forced his Starlight Road with his Heavy with a Formula Synchron out. I TG1-EM1 it and he Scoops. [b]Record 1-0[/b] Round 2: Me (T.G.) New Guy (GBs) Game 1. He Trap Stuns, Goes in to Gyzarus twice, pops back row, I can't recover. Game 2. I side in my Skill Drain set up. I open Rhino with Skill Drain, Horn and other back row support. We get called on time right before I won that game because he cant get anything going with Skill Drain face up. Game 3. Store owner gives us 3 turns. He opens no monsters, I Poke with Photon Tiger and win. [b]Record 2-0[/b] Round 3 Me (T.G.) GB guy's Friend (Dark World) Game 1. I was shitting bricks because Dark Worlds are the nuts game 1. He wins the toll and does the usually DW shenanigans...you know draw, search, set Dragged Down blah blah blah. Good thing is good that he didn't really have a strong hand to begin with (Sliva and such) which I was able to get over easily once I drew Rhino, Horn, TG1-EM1 ect. Game 2. I side in Debunks, Crow and Shadow Mirror and proceed to win once I Crowed his Grapha and Debunked his Snoww. [b]Record 3-0[/b] Round 4 Me(T.G.) Random Guy #4 (L. Six Sams...oh joy) Game One. I got paired down for some reason because his record was 2-1 but what ever. He wins the roll and goes, Shi en, Brakion set back row first turn and passes. I drew, looked at my hand and saw all traps with a Photon Tiger. I summon Tiger to add one to my hand he Veilers. I set 3 back row and pass. Can't remember what really happened next but I know I could't get over his field so i scooped. Game Two. I open with Rhino, Warning, Road and other back brown so I summoned and set 4. He tried to go Shi En, but I Warning and he couldn't recover. Game 3. He goes Shi En and Grand master...I drew all monster and really couldn't do much, So I lost. [b]Record 3-1[/b] Round 5 Me (T.G) Guy I actually know (Gate HERO) Game One. I won the Roll and Opened with a Photon Tiger, Horn and other back row. He goes into Alius and tries to swing. I Flip Horn and Draw. He sets a back row and passes. I summon the Tiger I got from the first to add the 3rd. He tries to Torrential but I flip Road and he scoops saying he can't get over a 2800atk draw engine with Stardust on the field. Game Two. Pretty much the same as game one, but he did get over my Tigers. It was looking good for him till I TG1-EM1 his Shining. [b]Final Record 4-1 2nd place.[/b] The owner does not go into top 4 for because he closes at 6. I got 8 packs and pulled 2 Wind-Up Rats and a Inzektor Hornet (Which I traded for a Zenmaity and $20) The guy who won was playing LightSworns and went 5-0...he got 12 packs and didn't pull s***. [/quote] It fits the meta of that specific local because last time I was there most ppl ran HERO, that and the fact that I just have this weird issue about mained Skill Drain...I know it weird and stupid but I dunno..I'm just weird like that.
