Haivijo Posted March 26, 2012 Report Share Posted March 26, 2012 Not the best YCG, but still interesting. A powerful card that isn't too easy to summon. Unfortunately I find this card to be one of those cards you end up relying on, sometimes landing you in a sad defeat, other times winning you an almost boringly easy victory. I still like it. Rank 1 Xyz are NEVER going to be good until people realise making them require 3+ materials is stupid. Burn is pathetic considering how (A) It's the card's only effect and (B ) It's so hard to summon. And why give it 0/0 stats??? 4 materials should have it up in 1500 territory, since even if you can't kill it in battle, you will want it do a bit more. Dont forget that as long as this card has Xyz Materials, it cannot be destroyed by battle, and if I increase the burn to 500/card in the graveyard then 4 cards and 4 turns are all I need to win. He said that the card is way too hard to Summon, ie its usefulness completely is dependant on how easy / hard it is to be Summoned. In this case, the card isn't worth the dedication. And seriously, the card is another case of the "hard to Summon, but badly designed" category. I said badly designed because burn already is a badly designed aspect of the game. But seriously, there's no way you can fix this card without breaking it, other than the obvious REDUCTION OF THE MATERIALS NEEDED FOR ITS SUMMONING. And from the look of it, komani is trying to kill synchros (ban trisula, spore, bulf, limit debris, formula, hyper librarian) to promote Xyzs, but i personally dont like them, so I dont usually make them. [/quote] Trishula, Spore and Bulb were banned because they were broken, not because Konami is trying to "kill" Synchros. Librarian was limited because it created stupid +1's, Forumla was limited because it was really easy to abuse when Spore and Bulb weren't banned (the limit of Forumla was like, a couple of formats ago man). And Debris was limited because it gave Plants another easy method of Normal Summoning a random Synchro Monster. tl;dr: Konami isn't trying to kill off Synchros. Synchros were the gimmick for 5D's. Now it's the time for ZeXal, ie a new gimmick was made and Konami is focusing on that. Anyways, about the new card: I would make its starting Attack 1000. I am suggesting this because even if you negate a Spell or a Trap Card, you can still only do it once per turn. Really easy to play around and then destroy it with a different Spell or Trap. I would make the effect once during either players turn, as your opponent can just Dark Hole it, and guess what, you cannot do s*** about it, i.e. once per turn effects can only be activated during your turn. Yet, it was left untouched (only limited) until many new Xyz come out. It's simple that if konami left things untouched, synchros would continue to dominate the game, and thus no one would buy their new Xyzs. So, they are slowly killing sychros, which will lead to the fact that all Extra Deck will be full with Xyzs. (May be in the next ban list, Brionac will suffer the same fate as Trisula.) In my opinion, Trisula doesn't deserve to be banned, since you have to give up 3 monsters to call it out after all. Limited is ok. BTW, how do you like my new card.
