In the real world... ...this shouldn't have been unbanned. Or, at the very least, they should've tried with this card limited only for 1 format. And Dark Magician of Chaos should NEVER return. Of course, summoning it usually gives you game if you're set against other things, but a lot of other things can be argued to be more powerful. In a meta full of 2700-3000 ATK beaters that do anything from Once per turn destruction, negating Special Summons, returning from the Grave endlessly, and nuking the field like a boss, it's understandable to think that BLS wouldn't do as much harm as it turned out. CED needs Yata and vice versa. Exchange needs other cards. But yeah. I see your point. A 3000 ATK beatstick with an effect to eliminate every card on the field and in each player's hand and inflict damage to your Opponent's Life Points to ultimately OTK couldn't possibly work without Yata-Garasu. Okay, this discussion is dumb, it should obviously be banned. Anyone who plays competitively knows this deep down. Master Hyperion Posted March 27, 2012 Report Share Posted March 27, 2012 They unbanned this so they could sell more copies of Gold Series 2012 and didn't banned it on the March 2012 banlist because it just got a reprint in the OCG Gold Series. That's the reasoning I can come up with. Cards like these made me quit the game, since I can't even have fun in casual play anymore if people just constantly win by top-decking cards like these.
