Inzektor Sword Loop

Recommended Posts

So I guess this somehow needs explaining...?

Normal Summon Dfly
Equip Dfly with Hornet, Zektcalibur
Hornet pops Sword (-1 to -1)
Sword adds Hornet (+1 to 0)
Dfly Summons 2 Centipedes (+2 to +2)
Centipede 1 uses hornet to pop anything (+0 to +2)
Centipede searches Giga-Mantis (+1 to +3)
Overlay Used Centipede and Dfly for Leviathan (-1 to +2)
Detach Dfly
Equip Centipede with Hornet, Giga-Mantis
Hornet kills Giga-Mantis (-1 to + 1)
Giga-Mantis Summons Dfly (+1 to +2)
Centipede searches 2 Sword (or if you're running bad Inzektors, I guess Giga-Mantis too, or my preferred choice: another Dfly) (+2 to +4)
Equip Dfly with Sword, Hornet
Hornet pops sword (-1 to +3)
Sword returns Giga-Mantis (+1 to +4)
Dfly Summons 2 Inzektors (+2 to +6)
Overlay Dfly and used Centipede for any Rank 3 (if you think there's a 3 Material Rank 3 worth going for then pop another card with Hornet and one of the SS'd Inzektors and go for it to keep the loop going. Then again, your only choice is Terrorbyte so that had better have a target worth taking) (-1 to +5)
If you drew well or it's early, one of the last 2 Inzektors you SS'd was a Centipede, so you can equip with Giga-Mantis to search two more times and SSing a monster from the Grave to go into Acid Golem or some beatstick to finish the Opponent off. If you went into a 3 material Rank 3 for godknowswhatreason, you should have one more open space for a Dfly summon. (final net + approx equals +7 to + 10.)

So basically the idea is, net massive plusses and continuously recycle Giga-Mantis. This usually results in a field of 4 or more monsters and an Opponent with nothing left on the field.

It's kind of easily stopped, but it only really takes 2 cards in hand to win with, so if the Opponent lets their guard down for a second, they'll be done for.

For some reason no one knew what I was talking about when I mentioned it so I thought I'd post it.

So I guess besides that, discuss Inzektors.

If two cards are dequipped from Dragonfly at the same time, you only get 1 summon. Nice try though.
Lol, it's funny cause you're totally wrong. When two are dequipped at the same time, the rulings state that you Special Summon twice. Hilarious, right? I KNOW.

^Centipede should get hit.
This. With Centipede, it becomes a quick combo-oriented play, to a ridiculous, wtfisthisidon'teven raepfest.
I should probably address this better.

See, yes. If two cards are detached at the same time, it will only work once. The thing is, Hornet and the card it destroys are not detached at the same time. Hornet comes off as the cost, the other, from the effect. Therefore it's considered two different times and Dragonfly's effect chains to itself, allowing for 2 Special Summons.

If "Inzektor Dragonfly" is equipped with 2 Equip cards, and they are both destroyed simultaneously by the effect of "Heavy Storm", the effect of "Inzektor Dragonfly" only activates once, and only 1 monster can be Special Summoned from the Deck.[sup][2][/sup]

What was that?
Ninja'd you. You're still wrong. Hornet and the other equipped card are not destroyed simultaneously.

This is a very commonly known effect, ruled at the last YCS a lot too as another example. (you can even find a feature match where that's the case).

OKay, I see what you're saying. But that means that Inzektor Dragonfly's effect ignores the chain like Bountiful Artemis does, since otherwise, he shouldn't be able to recognize the different activations otherwise, which could lead to some interesting combos down the road.
Yes, yes. We understand. We're all f*cked.

I think we determined that much from the OP. I'd rather not yet think about how much worse it could possibly get. -_-

Centipede is far more problematic then Dragonfly.
But since Konami thinks in reverse....

Especially since it looks like they're giving it to all the Inzektors, as Centipede get's it too.

@Above: Hes just missing the name, but his effect is totally legit.

I just don't feel Centipede should be hit for just being the glue that makes the deck more consistent.
No, more like they want it at 2 or 1, just to slow the deck down.
The difference being that he can't abuse Hornet for +2s en masse.
I think that was the point.
