Yankee
So yea. I ran Twilight in locals today.
Monsters: LS Lumina x2 LS Lyla x2 LS Jain x2 LS Ryko x2 LS Aurkus LS Garoth LS Ehren JD x3 Chaos Sorcerer x2 BLS Gorz Trag Veiler x2 Plague Necro Gardna x2 Trooper x2 Honest Spells: Heavy Reborn Hole Recharge x3 Charge Allure MST x3 Traps: Decree x2 Extra: Scrap Dragon Stardust Leviair x2 Acid Golem Black Rose Utopia Utopia Ray Leviathan x2 Roach Brio Chimeratech Arcanite Mist Wurm Side: Cyber Dragon x2 Lava Golem x2 Smashing Ground x2 Tour Bus DD Crow x2 Compulse x2 Bottomless x2 Shadow Mirror x2
Match 1: Twilight (0-0)Vs Crystal Beast (0-0) Game 1: She opened bad, apparently. Nothing special happened. A simple win for me. Game 2: Topaz Tiger at 2800. I drop Trag and steal it. Proceed to troll a win. Result: 2 - 0 Twilight Match 2: Twilight (1-0) Vs Frog Monarch (1-0) Game 1: I mill very fast, and I do everything I can. He just has every out. Eventually, I deck out after dropping my last JD and attacking...which he Fader'd. Game 2: Same as game 1, except I actually am not stopped. Double JD for game. Game 3: I just can't get anything started, especially after he Soul Releases. I slowly work my way back to 4 LS, but he uses a 2nd Release. I just bleed out after that. Result: 2 - 1 Frog Monarch Match 3: Twilight (1-1) Vs HERO's (1-1) Game 1: He's on my team, so we're just joking around the entire time. It's a rather simple beater game. He goes Alius, I Honest over it. He goes Thunder King, I go Jain. It's slow, until he brings Shining out. I drop a JD, though. I win. Game 2: We draw every out against each other. I decree his stuff, he stops me from getting JD at every chance. I hardly mill, he can't search. It explodes at the end, with each of us finally being set up. After all is said and done, we're both sitting at under 1000 LP. He's got Alius and a face down monster. I topdeck JD, and ram into his Alius for game. He was pissed. Result: 2 - 0 Twilight Match 4: Twilight (2 - 1) Vs Dark World (2 - 1) Game 1: He dominated the entire duel. I had to do tiny little Ryko plays to get around his Fabled Leviathan. He brings out Grapha, and proceeds to just ram. I top a Reborn, and grab his Leviathan, and sit on it for a few turns. Eventually he kills it...and reborns it. He forgets to summon his Grapha, though. If he did, he'd have won. Anyway, I survive. I have a Recharge and a JD in hand, but only 3 LS. I topdeck Aurkus. Recharge, draw 2 JD. I lucksacked that win hardcore. Game 2: Semi-similar to game 1. Only, less dominating. He's got advantage, but I eventually drop JD, and swing for game. Result: 2 - 0 Twilight Match 5: Twilight (3 - 1) Vs Rabbit (3 - 1) Game 1: First turn Laggia. Can't get around it. 2nd turn, he makes Dolkka. Game from there. Game 2: First turn Laggia. set 3. I go for Heavy. He negates with Laggia. Then I drop Smashing Ground. It was funny, but he ended up easily winning after he Warning'd my summon, and made a Leviair + Rabbit during his turn. Result: 2 - 0 Rabbit So two people that topped left for whatever reason, thus vaulting me from 10th to 8th. Top 8: Twilight Vs Chaos Dragons Game 1:He goes REDMD and Pulsar. I summon Sorcerer and banish Pulsar. He can't get over Sorcerer because of Necro Gardna, so he plays defensive. Didn't matter in the long run. I just get rid of his resources, and slowly hit him. Game 2: Very quickly get 4 LS in the grave with a Charge and a Recharge, however, my plays end. He goes off, but I stop him with Necro Gardna. I drop BLS, and he Veiler's before my BP. So I run over his Pulsar anyway. He didn't have anything to bring back, so it was good. He saved himself about 4000 LP that turn. All he can do is try to bring back Pulsar, but I DD Crow it. He sets, and passes. I play Lumina, bring back another Lumina, and bring back a Lyla. I try to pop his backrow, but he uses Return from the Different Dimension. Summons Pulsar and Wyvern in defense. I make Leviair, bring back Ehren, and then Reborn a Jain. I make a Utopia, then proceed to clear him. He scoops after he sees his draw wouldn't help him. Result: 2 - 0 Twilight Top 4: Twilight Vs Frog Monarch Game 1: Same guy. Except this time, I easily win, dropping JD's, and XYZ'ing over and over. Game 2: Even easier. Turn 2 JD, proceed to finals. Result: 2 - 0 Twilight Finals: Twilight Vs HERO's Game 1: It's another one of my teammates, so we decide that we'll play it out, but not side. I open all spells and traps, and never get anything useful. He just pokes with Alius over and over. Game 2: Recharge + Lumina + Lumuina + Garoth + mill 2 LS = amazing. He opened good too, though. Made himself a shining, and then Miracle'd another. I topdeck JD and nuke. Hit for 3k. He topdecks Paralell, and runs over JD. I get Chaos Sorcerer. He didn't manage to draw anything good afterward. Game 3: I open MST, Heavy, and Ryko. I set all 3. He summons Alius, and runs into Ryko. I pop Alius, he set's 3. I MST one of them during his end phase. Then I play Heavy during my turn, which he Solemn Judgments. Then I troll him because I drew the 3rd MST. Poke with Jain, mill a Necro. He tries to run over me, but I Honest for a quick end. Result: 2 - 1 Twilight So overall, I don't think I can do much better than winning... As for a card to discuss, why don't we discuss Judgment Dragon? It's what won/lucksacked me a few games... And I was not ignoring it. :\ Anyway, like any Twilight player, he was able to successfully lucksack his way into the top 8 when two other players that topped up died off. Good day, sir. It's powerful, and godly good with the right opening draws, but the inconsistency brought on by luck is what keeps Lightsworn-focused Decks from being top-tier. Also, JD's broken as hell, yet is allowed at 3. That says a lot about how Konami views the Decktype: It's not good enough without Lumina and Gardna at 2, and JD at 3. El Majishan
sacks and top decks ftw. Anyway...putting my unreasonable hatred of JD aside....and being very logical...terrible card design and I still don't know why Konami has this card at 3(yet DaD at 1)...it honestly confuses me. This Account is Unplayable
For almost all of your wins you may as well have just said "I lucksack for game". And you wonder why we have a problem with Twilight?
