Venom Swamp without Venom monsters deck idea

Come to my thought, there is a field card which can destroy monster(s).

In my opinion of good field cards, this one can be considered one of the best

fields in Yu-Gi-Oh. The story below is my opinion how to make a deck

based on this field card.

But I don't want to use Venom monsters coz they just didn't come to my taste.

So I only utilizing Venom Swamp, and Venom Burn from "venom" cards.

How to evading the effect of Venom Swamp you don't need to destroy your own

monsters?

==FIRST== IMMUNITY

The easiest thought is Horus Lv6, a standalone monster which immune to

spell effects. Non-effect monsters also can utilize Non Spellcasting Area,

but it is bothersome. The new evil hero Infernal Sniper also immune to

swamp effect.

==SECOND== ZERO

"If a monster ATK is becoming 0 because this effect, it is destroyed".

It is originally 0 ATK, so it won't go lower than 0 by the effect of

Venom Swamp. What a good fact isn't it?

List of 0 ATK "good" monsters which I've known so far :

*These monsters must can't increase its own ATK or else be destroyed

by the swamp.

==//Normal Monsters\\==

Soul Tiger, 4 Stars, Earth, Beast, 2100 DEF

Millenium Shield, 5 Stars, Earth, Warrior, 3000 DEF

Labyrith Wall, 5 Stars, Earth, Rock, 3000 DEF

==//Effect Monsters\\==

Castle Gate, 6 Stars, Earth, Rock, 2400 DEF

Guardian Exode/Exxod the Master Guardian, 8 Stars, Earth, Rock, 4000 DEF

Royal Magical Library, 4 Stars, Light, Spellcaster, 2000 DEF

Ceremonial Bell, 3 Stars, Light, Spellcaster, 1800 DEF

Catnipped Kitty, 2 Stars, Earth, Beast, 500 DEF

Miracle Jurrasic Egg, 4 Stars, Earth, Dinosaur, 2000 DEF

Boot Up Soldier The Dread Dynamo, 4 Stars, Earth, Machine, 2000 DEF

Yubel

Don't know it works or not, Phantom of Chaos....

==//Spell\\==

Fiend Sanctuary

==//Traps\\==

Stronghold, 4 Stars, Earth, Machine, 2000 DEF

Metal Reflect Slime, 8 Stars, Water, Aqua, 3000 DEF

Otohime, Cloudian Poison Cloud, Cloudian Sheep Cloud also good candidates,

but they're one time use monsters so it doesn't really matter whether they

can survive the swamp or not.

==THIRD== RESET

Other than one way ticket monsters, there some monsters which can reset

the Venom Counter.

They're Flip-Flappers, monsters which by its own effect can be flipped

face down. Spirits also the same, but they're still categorized as one

way goers. Gladiator beasts maybe can do the same, as long they can

maintain its "Gladiatoric" special summon.

Finish with the Swamp population, now, lets talk about some combos.

==Venom Swamp-Burden of the Mighty

I just wonder, how long your opponent monster can survive this thriving atmosphere.

Cyber Twin Dragon 8 Stars, 2800 ATK

Burden-->2000 ATK at the end of turn a Venom counter added --> 1500 ATK

==Venom counters burn

0 ATK monster still accumulate counters but don't get destroyed.

Venom Burn--> 700 damage * counter

After 10 turns (5 yours, 5 your opponent), it is 7000 damage...

==Deflection combo

You can utilize "Unity" and "Fairy Box" to add some deflection damage.

Example :

You have Boot Up Soldier faced up, and a set of Unity and Stronghold.

At your opponent phase, he tried to attack it with Cyber Dragon.

When Cyber Dragon declares attack, activate Stronghold, a replay occurs.

If he unconsciously sees the trap, you can activate Unity at Damage Step.

He got 1900 deflection damage (2100 attacks 2000+2000 DEF monster).

At the end phase, Cyber Dragon may have no second chance to destroy

the Boot Up Soldier if you activate Venom Swamp.

You may add Staunch Defender to force your opponent to attack Exxod...

Threats

Spell trap destroyer could ruin your combo, just hope you monster effect

or DEF is adequate to defend the next attack. Use your combo sparingly

and add some spell/trap destroyer defenses such as Judgement of Anubis.

For defensive type Venom Swamp dwellers,defense crashers such as Drillroid,

Shield Crash surely a big problem, you may add some Sakus or Divine Wrath.

Shield Crash or Nobleman only a few, so you can focus to defend against

effect monsters.

How this deck going to win?

You can win through burn damage, such as Exxod effect, Venom Burn, or

deflection damage. Since your defenses is good, you can try to utilize

Wave motion cannon or Final Countdown.

You can attack with Horus lv6, which can be easily summoned with its

lv4, because your opponent has crappy ATK right now.

Or you can utilizing 'ol good Guardian Sphinx and Moai Interceptor

cannon.

I never tried using Yubel, and gladiators for this deck.

By using Yubel in this deck may lowering Yubel's damage, but, don't worry,

even if you don't attack, you opponent monsters slowly self destruct.

Yubel-Staunch Defender maybe a good combo.
