Alice Moonflowyr Posted April 26, 2012 Report Share Posted April 26, 2012 So, this idea has been sitting around in my head for a few weeks, and I fleshed it all out yesterday. The idea is, a yugioh tournament with anime rules, and anime-like decks. [spoiler=Rules] 1. All decks must be 99% highlander. As in, you can have ONE card that you have two copies of. EXCEPTION: If a card directly interacts with copies of itself, then you are allowed to use up to three of that card. You are limited to three of this type of monster in your deck. [s]2. All decks must contain at least 4 Normal Monsters. These monsters can be of any level, type, attribute, w/e. [/s] REMOVED 3. Banned cards. People in the anime use banned cards. So, I've compiled a list of banned cards that are acceptable to use. This does mean that all duels will take place in Traditional(Unrated). 4. Your starting LP is 4000. At the start of the duel, immediatly change your LP to 4000. 5. Archtypes. If you use 2 or more monsters from the same archtype in a deck, the deck must center on them. 6. I would like someone to volunteer to be deck reviewer. You wouldnt participate in the tournament, and everyone will PM you their decks. 7. Style is single elim. [b]Deck Rules[/b] I touched on the basic deck rules above. Here are some more specific ones. 1. Your deck must contain at least three(3) cards that are extremely situational. 2. Your deck must contain at least two(2) combos that are crazy-unlikely to happen. You will explain these combos step-by-step to the Deck Reviewer. 3. Your Extra Deck must be FULL, and each monster must have some way to summon it. 4. There has to be one monster in your extra deck that is usually very hard to summon without a dedicated deck, Shooting Quasar Dragon is a good example, and there must be a crazy-super-nutso situational combo to get it out. 5. Anyone found breaking these rules will be immidiatly be booted. NEW! Decks of the [url="http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Burn_Deck"]burn variety[/url] are banned. Make it so that using more than 2 cards from any archetype means you have to focus on it, it's far too easy to use say 3 or so archetypal engines to make a good deck. -Doodle Posted April 27, 2012 Report Share Posted April 27, 2012 sounds cool, but: - I think you should remove the normal monster rule, not all character after GX (and even GX had way less then DM) used normal monsters. - the 1 cards rule should be abit different IMO; if the card interacts with more copies of itself (e.g: hero kid or troop dragon) it should be used at up to 3 copies. and you should let 1-2 different cards as 2 copies-and all other cards as 1 copy. anyway, cool idea I might join but not too sure becuase I have some exams to study to in teh next few weeks :S Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Dr. Cakey Posted April 28, 2012 Report Share Posted April 28, 2012 @Spike Goodie! @OT conversation I think this is the main list of Synchros Yusei used in the anime: Extra Deck: (10) Junk Warrior Nitro Warrior Turbo Warrior Road Warrior Drill Warrior Junk Archer Stardust Dragon Armory Arm Formula Synchron Shooting Star Dragon Then he used Junk Gardna in the movie only, and squeezed in all five other Signer dragons plus Shooting Quasar in his duel with Z-one, which would make for 17. But since Shooting Star and Shooting Quasar are apparently spontaneously created by NEXUS, they don't reside in his Extra Deck or something (complete troll speculation), so he might actually squeak by with 15 monsters.
