1. Mon-Fri: 4 PM Eastern Time until midnight or later, then 7 AM Eastern until 8:30 AM. Weekends: pretty much all day.

3. Being one of the most active members, and having been here for longer than most others, I think I would make a good moderator. What can I say? This is pretty much my life, outside of skateboarding. I've been here for about a year, I think. I know the site well. I consider myself rather more mature than most other members, the exceptions being the older TCG Players. Normal mod duties would be easy as i will be online just about all day.

1. What time during the day you are most likely online (include time zone)

 

I live on the east coast, so every thing I'm about to say is in EST. On weekdays, I usually get on at around 4PM. Depending on how the day is, I'm on until about 11PM. On weekends, I usually get on in the afternoon around 3PM. If it's saturday, I can be on until whenever I feel like, which can be past midnight. If it's sunday, I can be on anywhere from about noon to 11PMish. In in the future this may change because I might have things I might have to do around 4PM. I'm a pretty flexible person.

 

2. Which parts of the forum you frequent most

I'm mainly in the General Section. I can occasionally be in the TCG Section also, but I've started visiting there less lately.

 

3. Why you should become a moderator and how you will help the forum

I've been a member of YCM for about 11 months, so I have a good idea what's cool and what isn't cool here. I'm a pretty active member. I'm also on when it seems like no other mods are on. While there aren't any mods on, I sometimes try to help out if any problems going on (sorry if that counts as mini-modding). About a week or so ago, there was thread in the General Section that became spam really quickly. After it got over 100 posts, I PM'd most of the people who where posting there so the amount of spam and clutter would be reduced. Some of the people I PM'd didn't listen to me, but it didn't really matter in the end because that thread was deleted. In the past, I've also helped Tkill inforce the large sig rule. And before that, I also helped Frunk with a problem involving a few people with multiple accounts. I've also been voted Nicest Member twice in a row for the YCM Awards, but like Darkthorne said, I can be intimitading if I need to. I think I would do a good job solving problems in a peaceful and fair way. I would also try my best to avoid bais.

 

Anyway, thanks for giving everyone this opportunity.

I am online between 8-12 hours every day from 6am-about midnight EST. I work on a computer at work so I am always surfing the web when the days are slow.

 

I frequent all the sections pretty evenly, although I only post in a few.

 

Why I would make a good moderator...

I've modded in multiple forums for the last 10 years.

I'm head administrator in my own forum site and am constantly working on that as well.

 

I am the one sites hire when they need to clean up. I go in, clean out the site (delete old posts, lock all unnecessary threads, ban members that need to be banned, warn members that need to be warned, etc).

 

I can usually have a forum site with 4,000-7,000 members cleaned up in a matter of 30-45 days, 60 max.

 

I am a heavy enforcer. I don't take slack and I do not take back anything i decide. everything is clearly written, black and white for me, what is acceptable and what is not.

Ummm, i may not be ready for the job bout here's my application.

 

1. I am usually online around 4:00 to 8:00 on weekdays and about 10:00 to 7:00 on weekends. I live in California so I think Pacific Time.

 

2. I am mostly around the Custom Cards Section specifically the Realistic Cards Section.

 

3. I don't know if it's important but I'm okay in Grammar, I am not easily angered so I wouldn't abuse my powers. I think I have enough experience, I may not be sure. I can tell what is spam and what is not and I will do my best in this job if I ever get it.

 

Not a lot of reasons I could think of but oh well.

- Lord_Tobi, he hasn't got a strong presence, activity, etc.

- Cybernetic Dragon, he has a temper, hasn't got the maturity aspect, etc.

++/- Myself, I'm running my own site, have near-perfect grammar, know how to be harsh, some don't like me, and otherwise. There are two plusses for a reason.

I'm on for quite a while after school, which is ~3-3:30 PST. Usually up until 6:00 PST when I eat dinner, then I'll be back on 'till around 9:00 PST.

Anything and everything but Custom Cards, because no one likes my harshly true ratings and I haven't time to make cards any more. I could go for moderation purposes, but yeah. If I were a moderator, I would most likely be best suited for the Graphics Forums.

 

3. Why you should become a moderator, and how you will help the forum?

 

Why should I be a Moderator? That's for you to decide. I am unbiased most of the time, I'm a good debater (Having won awards at every attended tournament), I get the point across, I have an ominous presence, I know how to be mean, I know how to be nice, and most importantly, I bring it when it needs to be brought.

 

I might help the forum, and I might not. I can tell you there will be a significantly lower spam rate, because spamming users will be banned/warned accordingly as soon as I catch them. On the other side of things, some people don't like me due to my harsh opinions, unorthodox sense of humor, and lack of lenience. I think that I would make a good moderator, but I also think that you should consider the fact that I do have my own site to run. That being said, you should know I have Admin'd 6 sites, modded 12, and been highly active on 18 others. Oddly enough those are all multiples of 6.

I'm on most times of the day or at least when I can be because I generally don’t have much to do except when I have coursework and college and I am generally only off when there isn't much going on or there isn't really anyone on or if I'm just simply tired or as I have stated already when I’m at college and such. My time zone is GMT+0 if you must know.

I'd probably say that the sections that I am mostly on are as follows:

3) Why you should become a moderator and how you will help the forum?

I believe that the reasoning behind me being a moderator is simple. I have had a great deal of experience with Moderating as well as being an Administrator on Invisionfree forums so I know pretty much everything about performing the job.

 

Another reason is that I have been a member of this forum for a great deal of time and although I did take a long break from here everyone or nearly everyone knows me quite well so I'd say that people would be okay with me as a Moderator of the site.

 

Now moving on from those reasons, another reason would be that although a Moderator is seen to be the one who keeps the peace and keeps everything under control I am able to get along with others and have a laugh and joke around while also being serious when it is needed, I feel my availability and my experience would help, however at the end of the day it is simply down to your final say and decision, I would gladly take a trial run if need be, and I am not greatly bothered if I don't get the position, but I still feel I could be of some use to you and the site.

* Okay, I cannot brag about myself, as I am not some guy who likes to brag. I try to stop Spam, I used to report lost of double accounts to Frunk, most of them were double accounts and I got rewarded with reps. When I see something wrong, I directly PM a mod. Any person who spams gets neg-repped (if he is old). I was not wanting to apply, but, I really want to be like Frunk, a great person and mod. *

 

* I read all the rules and know them from the back of my head, pretty easy to understand. I have a good ablility of reasoning with people so I guess that would help out. *

 

* Now, I will help the forum, by locking useless topics, orginazing the place, trying to stop Spam. I will have an orginazed ban system, even if it is my firend, I have to do my job if I was trusted for. My ban system well would be, Spam once (if it is a new member I will just give a warning) an old one will be neg repped, the second time depends on the type of Spam, it may cause a ban. Any swearing will be filtterd and then I would ban the person, if a person has Spammed the ENTIRE forum and I was late to stop him, I would instantly ban him then delete all his posts. If I found a double account, then I would ask the person (if I trusted him, if he is not to be trusted, then I will still ask him, I can easily figure out lies) if he gives a good reason, with a lie (I am good at spoting ones) he gets banned if he gives a good reason with no lies then okay he is through, but will be watched. If i did not get the postition as a mod, well I could deal with that but I will still try to stop spam with my limited ablities. *

i am mainly on like 16 hours a day when it's not a school day and if it's a school day then like 8 hours. basically on school days from (+4 GMT) 3:00-6:00 then 7:00 to 9:00 *roughly sometimes little less sometimes little more* and when it's not a school day i am very much active and posting

everywhere, i'm there on the Yugioh Card Maker section to help member's, i visit the custom card section very often along with the TCG section and the Graphics section and the General section as well. so in short everywhere but i never visit the Role play section cause i never understood them.

 

3. Why you should become a moderator and how you will help the forum

i would make a list and explain this in a bit more details.

1. 
   * i am very active and if any predicament arise i will be there and be able to solve it quickly.
   * i am present in a lot of sections so if something happen i can quickly find it.
   * i know many members new or old and i can tolerate ignorance (to a level of course) and can help new members with their troubles.
   * i am friendly and easy to go with so members don't have troubles with me and i don't have enemies (well except darkthrone and little innocent arguments with kizzi on graphics).
   * i have many good ideas and can make the site a better place.
   * i know that when you consider me you will find that i was banned once therefore not deserving the spot but i would just like to say that what i did was unintentional and a mistake as i didn't know what i said was classified here under flame.
   * i will try making the place a more welcome place for people who want to see the mature side of YCM.
   * i am fairly nice, i believe a good mod is a nice one and isn't harsh as he doesnt have to fight and argue just because a few immature people think his decisions are wrong/disagree with the decision but instead to have a good relationship with others, help the place and have a good time.

I appear everyday at random times and can hang around for as long as 3-4 hours at a time. Time zones obviously are pointless here as I'm Australian and there's significant differences.

*Because I'm experienced with all kinds of forums, I have connections to ytmnd, albinoblacksheep, video game directors cuts and have seen first hand how to deal with the most ferocious flame wars.

*I can help with the grammar and spelling issues.

*I have lots of wisdom for many issues and debates.

*I'm not noticed too much here, so my work as a moderator is more subtle - how a good moderator should work.

*arguing is not necessary with me. The best way to stop stupidity is to remove it without comment. If no one notices a troll, there's no point to troll anymore.

Now this varys often as it would for anyone. I myself am a strange nocturnal person, who, as is obvious by the word nocturnal, is awake at nighttime most often.

 

At the current time, and of recent weeks, this is my usual time online;

 

Weekdays

 

11am - 4/5 am (the next day, so im sad and am usually online for around 16 hours a day)

 

Weekends - usually the same as above unless im going out.

 

Time Zone erm, GMT i think, never quite sure;

 

I live in England, UK if that helps ^_^

 

 

When im not online

 

I do go out to friends on days so im not a 24/7 Junkie, but thats like twice a week at most, everyones sadly busy.

 

And On sat's, mainly the 2nd and 3rd of the month, i go out to various Goth Clubs that are running.

Also i was voted last month, via those YCM Awards, the Most Active Member.

To be honest, Everywhere but TCG.

 

Custom Cards, mainly Realistic cards, i never seem to venture into written cards though as nothing much ever goes on there.

 

I am in general often, have to keep checking the YCM thread as i am a Council member, also i am sadly an extremely Vain person so i tend to use the Photo thread alot ^_^

 

And i love answering Polls ^_^

 

I am also in the Fan-Fic section as i have my own Fan-Fic, which after only 3 chapters has become one of the most successful i would say.

 

But after all the sections;

 

Realistic cards is my true place where i lurk, constantly posting or just watching.

 

3. Why you should become a moderator and how you will help the forum

 

The answer to the first question is simple to answer, i should become a Moderator as i have the knowledge, the wisdom, the time and the skills needed to be one.

 

I myself am a Moderator on a 50,000 + Members Pokemon forum, i have had plenty of skills of what to do and how to do it from there.

 

(Its also the same forum i told you about via PM, that has the Donation system;

 

If you need any more Info about the donation system or any help with donations, as i said via PM, i would be happy to help ^_^)

 

Furthermore;

 

I may only have been on this forum since the start of december, but i know my way around it, and as you might have noticed, became the 3rd highest poster, as i have been highly active and obsessed with this forum.

 

I strive to help this forum in anyway possible

 

Of which you, YCMaker, have already seen, from the countless Pm's i send you regarding updates to events that go on here

 

On a side note i am sorry for the PM's i send you, its just so i know, that you know, whats going on within the forum, like that DA situation etc.etc.

 

Other Personal Qualities and Skills

 

I maybe always on the defensive, but i am indeed as i have told many people, one of the most helpful and nice people on this entire forum.

 

And no readers, i am not bigheaded, i simply speak the truth.

 

I have got along great with alot alot alot of members;

 

Helped them out in countless amounts of situations, and if i became a Moderator, i could do so in a more helpful way, as it would not only be them i would be helping, but the Forum Itself.

 

Now going back to the point that i have sent you Pm's from time to time, in them you will see what i am going to say here;

 

'I want this forum to live and to be the best it can be'

 

And that is the truth, i want to make this forum a better place, to make it free of rulebreaking, spam and conflict, to help it continue to strive upwards.

 

 

 

How Will I Help The Forum

 

I will make sure the rules are kept in order, i shall kindly inform members of any rule breaking, like i do on the PKMN forum.

 

I shall enforce, in the nicest way possible, the rules.

 

I would clear spam, lead people in the correct direction;

 

and overall, make this forum a better place.

This is just basically extra credit work i have done.

 

 

The DA Radicals - Part 1

 

A few months ago, there was a situation containing Deviantart members. They were angry at the fact we were using there images without persmission of crediting, so they made accounts, spammed and flamed the forum and its members.

 

Myself informed God Kaze about them, and he quickly sorted them out, however, we encountered a snag, they were making double accounts to flame us again.

 

God Kaze kindly asked me to be his 'Eyes', and quickly find out who the double accounts were, i found them, he banned them, that for now was over.

 

The account of one of the Doubles was named 'DA Radical', hence the entire Radical situation name.

 

 

The DA Radicals - Part 2

 

This part, involved Tkill.

 

I was chatting to Tkill on MSN about ways we could bring a stop to the DA situation, and also find where they were chatting and conspiring, so after some helping chatting with Tkill, I Found Them.

 

There were using a members blog on DA to chat and plan out how they were going to come onto this site and Flame it,

 

Thanx to my discovery, Tkill knew who they were and also, we both knew if they would strike again. And they did a few times.

 

 

The DA Radicals - Part 3

 

By this point, they had come many times, flamed and argued, and angered many many members. But After a nice member from DA came here to this site, we managed to talk to her, and tried to think of ways in order to stop the conflict.

 

I Myself, Was A Big Part Of The DA Radical Solution.

 

God Kaze and myself chatted with various members from DA, mainly Cubistar, jocarra, and Kaze chatted to Chevi.

 

Afterwards we managed to come to the 'New Rule' solution, which as you can see;

 

Has greatly calmed things down, and the situation is under control.

 

 

Point?

 

The Points in myself describing those events is for these reasons.

 

1. It shows i have already worked with the current Moderators, God Kaze and Tkill, which surely is an advantage if i myself became a site Moderator.

 

2. I Was a big part in helping calm down the situation that was greatly shaking this forum, i helped this forum in a great way, as i shall continue to do, and would be able to do greater if i was indeed, a moderator.

 

 

And not to show off, but i want to just quote something God Kaze wrote on Deviantart.com, on one of the DA Radicals journels;

 

He Wrote;

I love that quote ^_^

 

I am also aware that Kaze and possibly Tkill, wrote about the DA events on threads in the Moderator forum, so you can check them also.

 

 

Last Extras

 

I have a very keen sense, a sharp eye, and alot of knowledge.

 

I have reported many possible double accounters in my time to Frunk and God Kaze, and many were indeed d-accounters.

 

I have reported all offensive posts and comments i have seen.

 

I talk to all the Moderators, God Kaze, Tkill, Frunk and GBT on MSN, so i can easily get in contact with any of them.

Sorry for the long read, i just am so dedicated to this forum, that i like to put alot of effort into what i write ^_^
