The X Khraken 7
It's been a long time since I visited the forums. But I've finally given myself time to work on a new set of cards. These are the Dragon's Of Element's. There is 1 Dragon that represents each attribute (other than Divine). I think showing them to you is easier. [img]http://i.imgur.com/yQpYS.jpg[/img] [i]If you normal summon this card, you must tribute at least 1 Light monster. If this card is special summoned, flip all of your opponents face-down monsters face-up, their flip effects are not activated. Increase the ATK of this card by 200 for each effect monster that was flipped face-up by this effect.[/i] [img]http://i.imgur.com/OHmAD.jpg[/img] [i]If you normal summon this card, you must tribute at least 1 Dark monster. If this card is special summoned, you can set as many level 4 or lower monsters as possible from your hand. Decrease the ATK of 1 opponents monster by 200 for each monster that was set by this effect.[/i] [img]http://i.imgur.com/DQs1M.jpg[/img] [i]If you normal summon this card, you must tribute at least 1 Fire monster. If this card is special summoned, select 1 Field Spell card on the field and destroy it. Increase the ATK of this card by 500 points after this effect resolves.[/i] [img]http://i.imgur.com/M95AH.jpg[/img] [i]I[/i][i]f you normal summon this card, you must tribute at least 1 Water monster. If this card is special summoned, add 1 field spell card from your deck to your hand.[/i] [img]http://i.imgur.com/TwN65.jpg[/img] [i]If you normal summon this card, you must tribute at least 1 Wind monster. If this card is special summoned, you can set 2 spell or trap cards from your graveyard.[/i] _________________________________________________________________________ Sorry if the cards are big, and take up a lot of space. I'm not sure if these forums have a spoiler bbcode or not Those are my Dragon's Of Element's. It's an original idea, but one of my favourites. AGATHODAIMON BANGTAIL COW
1st: Your opponent usually doesn't have a face-down monster, so this usually won't be useful. 2nd: Mass-SSing from the Hand is usually broken, but these guys are stuck in face-down Defense Position, so it isn't "Super-SS-dooooom." ATK decrease is rather random, but it could get this guy over stuff like BLS-EotB or REDMD. 3rd: Too dependent on your opponent. Sure, a potential 3100 beater is nice, but MST is a better choice here. 4th: Built-in Terraforming is sweet. Shame its ATK is so low though. 5th: Best one, but too good. Heavy Storm is evil, so this is evil too. 6th: ...Wat. You just Set cards that you could've just set already. And this is the weakest one too... The opponents I face on Dueling Network almost always have face-down monsters :/ 2nd: Can't really respond to that... because your speech pattern for that one is weird to me 3rd: Your able to destroy your own field spell, so you don't always have to rely on your opponent 4th: I hear you. I didn't want his attack to be too high, because from my knowledge, water based cards are usually bulky, same with Earth cards. 5th: How many "too good" cards have been made in Yugioh? 6th: LOL I must have had a brain fart with this one xD. I can't really defend against that , so you got me there.
AGATHODAIMON BANGTAIL COW
1st: Well, casual decks may have face-downs. But from what I gather, Inzektors and other good decks don't usually run Marshmallon. 2nd: Mass Special Summoning, but the fact that they're face down and in Defense makes this not really broken. 3rd: The only Field Spell that the owner wants to kill is Geartown, and I'm thinking it doesn't miss the timing with this. 4th: They can have good ATK too. It's just that Level 8 monsters with 2450 ATK are a little pointless, though I see these guys not being Tribute Summoned ever. 5th: Too many. Don't add to it. Heavy Storm is only still in the game because it stops people from Setting all of their Spells/Traps ASAP. 6th: I really want to see what you'll do to change this. Oh, and the fact that all of these are Trade In targets makes them better.

The X Khraken 7
Edited Gouru's effect. Check the 1st post and "Trade in Target's?" What do you mean by that?
AGATHODAIMON BANGTAIL COW
Trap retrieval is nice, but Spell retrieval is just... really broken. Magician of Faith wasn't banned because Konami pulled her name out of a hat. :/ And Trade In is a Spell that lets you send a Level 8 (exactly) monster from your Hand to the Graveyard so you can draw 2 cards. [quote name='Fonzy89' timestamp='1339114195' post='5953657'] What are you talking about!?! I reckon their awsome! [/quote] Spiral Serpent is an "awsome" (Misspelling that on purpose made me die a little) card because of its cool artwork and 2900 ATK, right? No. For a card to be "awesome," it has to have a good amount of ATK, not too much, not too little. It also needs an effect that is very helpful, but not broken, not useless either. Plus, it needs to also be easily playable (but not absurd). /Rant.
The X Khraken 7
You are correct on spell retrieval being overpowered. But remember that Gouru's effect requires you to SET the cards you retrieve. I don't know very many people who insist on setting Spell Cards setting a card in general prevents you from flipping it face-up without a card effect, so that's 1 chance your opponent has to get rid of it again, using an evil card, for example: Heavy Storm
AGATHODAIMON BANGTAIL COW
People sometimes Set Spells as bait, usually something like Mystical Space Typhoon or something else they can chain. Also, you can Set any kind of Spell then activate it (barring Quick-play Spells), so you can use Gouru to fetch your used Dark Hole/other powerful Normal Spell and Heavy Storm/some other powerful Normal Spell and use them immediately. Love of Ghibli
I am late to this clearly one sided (well logically anyway) conversation I will just restate what has already been said and maybe add more. Light: What a frivolous effect (repeating point made clear but still) the fact that you face many people on DN who use such tactics says more about DN and you and not the mechanics of the game. Sad really Shadow: Its broken make no mistake, in the worse case (though can't really see it happening) empty my hand full of dead infernities then activate desert sunlight. proceed with annihilation, but since that is not a probable it is less broken then it could be. FIre: weird because there aren't that many field spells worth destroying and the major one is Necrovalley and Necrovalley locks most of the ways he can be special summoned. Water: Trade-In revive somehow get legendary ocean or something and set-up atlantean overlay. Favorite card of the set. Wind: Broken. you cannot turn all revival cards into heavy storm Earth: one pre-condition is that you have used dark hole but lets see if this works:[list=1] [*]Use trade-in on Earth Dragon [*]Use monster reborn on Earth dragon [*]Earth dragon grabs Monster reborn and Dark Hole [*]use Dark Hole [*]Repeat steps 2-4 [/list] See the problem? broken
Sckorpio
for the earth one it would be a good idea to add a cost of some sort like you have to pay 2000 life points and your opponent can draw 2 cards or something.
