[Oh, this is day 3 because I've made two other Xyzs 2 consecutive days before this] [img]http://i45.tinypic.com/168xzzd.jpg[/img] [spoiler=Effect] 2 level 5 monsters Once per duel, during your Battle Phase, you can detach 2 Xyz materials from this card to negate the effects of all other cards on the field until the start of your opponent's next Main Phase 1. As long as this card is face up on the field, neither players can special summon Xyz monsters. [/spoiler] I think it's useful and balanced at the same time. Although this will obviously be Semi'd at the very least if Konami was drunk enough to make this for real. Freezes your opponent's plan during their previous turn and gives you a clear attack for that battle phase. And it stops both players from spamming Xyzs, which is always nice in the current meta. Love of Ghibli Posted July 6, 2012 Report Share Posted July 6, 2012 This too is broken its too easy to get out and its worded such that not only do you get a clear attack for your battle phase but your opponents field is locked for their turn. A card has to be placed on the field in order for it to be activated then this card would kick in robbing it of its effect. And I don't Xyz should have effects if they don't have material especially great ones that say no one else can xyz. Its still borderline tier one thank goodness prio is gone I guess lol. Basically when this hits the field you have to pull a cardfight Vanguard and yell out FINAL TURN!! DARKPLANT RISING Posted July 7, 2012 Report Share Posted July 7, 2012 Why would lolnami semi-limit something that goes in the Extra Deck? I mean, even if this was released it's never be summoned 3 times in the same duel anyways. Extra Deck stuff always need to be at 0, 1 or 3. Ones at 1 usually deserve to be banned in terms of balance, but aren't because they're the Necesarry Evils (for instance, Brionac deserves to be at 0, but it's the only really worthwhile generic Level 6 Synchro out there, which is why it's staying). This is fine at 3 right now, and I've got to say it's good design. The first effect can get rid of Zenmaines, Gachi-Gachi, Utopia and such, but that's pretty much it. There aren't many other Contiunous stuff out there, and the way this is written, it doesn't stop stuff that comes out after this effect is resolved - making this effect rather pin-point hate. The second effect is the main thing. Most top-tier decks nowadays revolve around Xyz Control. Disallowing that option is quite the same thing as shutting out your opponent's ace monsters in the cases with many decks, and in some cases, this alone can win you a duel. Some decks that can run this are, off the top of my head, Inzektors, Gagagas, non-Hand-Rape Wind-Ups, and Synchro decks running many Level 5s such as /Assault Modes and Incas. This will find its best use in the last 2, because they don't Xyz muc, but the first 3 can run this without problem too, depending on the situation. Sometimes, disrupting the opponent is worth it, even if it means disrupting yourself too. Overall nice. Perfectly balanced and very useful. OCG is off, but I don't care a s*** about that aspect.
