Why did you mention Brionac in the same sentence as Exodia and Countdown? Brio is much better than those two combined (herpderp) but it actually deserves to stay at one, mainly because Xyzs are used more than syncs, and Brio's 1 of the... what, 4 generic synchros being used these days? Countdown may have won a national, but the guy's a f***ing idiot for running it in the first place. But just because it won a national, it doesn't mean it should be banned. Almost all of brionac's OTKs and loops have involved cards that are either OTK-Exclusives(gustaph,atlanthal,etc) or broke as hell of their own right with or without it(mezuki,blackwhirlwind,future fusion,REDMD,trishula),and without these "trash or terror" or just broken cards he's a good balanced splashable control card for sams/BWs/etc. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I mean, even without combos, Brionac will still be used for OTKs. Having ridiculously easy access to Brionac and basically guaranteeing yourself a win with it is really, really abusable card design. Thing is, it's not used for any form of OTK and for the most part it seems like a pretty balanced search considering it's only @1. Most decks that want to tutor a level 1 will only want to tutor a single level 1 so it can dead draw anyway, unless it's Piper, in which case I don't see a reason to cut a card that makes the deck that little bit extra consistent. Synchronized Posted July 9, 2012 Report Share Posted July 9, 2012 I only glanced over it, so I might have missed something, but if Brionac is banned on this list, couldn't you swap Premature Burial for Monster Reborn? That way we still have some sort of generic revival but one that can't be looped without running bad cards, and therefore, it's at least a little more restricted than Monster Reborn.
