ihop
But Hunter was, originally, good design. It's a simple 1-for-1 that can't make a splash on its own. It's underpowered, but not stupid. Unfortunately, Zenmaity and the like exist, which makes Hunter an actual thing. Hunter's not actually at fault, he's just the only way to completely kill the loop and he has no use outside of the loop. The boat should honestly be hit as well, but I doubt it will be. It's like Junk Forward and Elder of the Six Sams. Both of them are Level 3 EARTH Warriors. Junk has a better effect and stats, but Elder has the name, thus making him completely superior. Only leg up that Thunderbird has is Ophion.
It's like saying Mass Driver is good design.
This Account is Unplayable
Hunter isn't good design in the slightest. It has nothing to do with its archetype and sole use would be to hand loop. .-.
mido9
It's not balanced, at all, though. Constant field presence is never good design. The only reason Evilswarm Thunderbird isn't ridiculous is its name, which is the breaking factor for this. A Wind-Up that's easily gotten out, is level 3 for shenanigans, that constantly floats and laughs at any attempt to kill it... How on earth is that remotely good design?
This isnt really the kind of field presence that's badly designed when constant: It's a 1400 body, meaning that,no matter how much it floats or laughs at any attempt to kill it,it's only use in the end will be to xyz on a -1.
I actually edited before you posted to say "was originally". There's nothing wrong with a simple one for one with a one time use if it can't be recycled over, and over, and over again. It sucked, but it wasn't really bad design. In an overview, Hunter's not broken at all. It sticks out no more than any of the other effects in the archetype like Knight, when their whole schtick was one-off effects like that. The problem is that the loop was born with ORCS and it became a hand drop, which Konami probably planned. Miror B
So hunter's either bad or loops, but Rabbit is an issue.
El Majishan
Hunter is like Elma.....they serve no purpose and would most likely never see play outside of a looping combo that makes you play with yourself (gigidi) All Zenmaity does is make Wind-Ups playable...the deck plays off good Zenmaity plays and the boat adds much needed consistence to the deck... The problem with Wind-Ups was, is, and shall always be...the Hunter Loop....and how do we stop the Hunter Loop without making the deck unplayable...ban Hunter.
