It's basically the exact opposite. Use it next turn instead of setting it the previous one! So yeah, tell me what you think and all that.
Uchiha
Overpowered. The whole reason the other cards were balanced was because they were Traps. This just starts an unfair pattern. Traps won't see use because they will just use the spells. Nice try, but executed poorly. Would be more balanced if you had to destroy a monster you controlled or discard a card. Something of that nature. OCG could use work, but you have the right idea.
AGATHODAIMON BANGTAIL COW
Umm... Does this guy above my post even know how Trap Hole works? In this case, the Spells are actually slower... (Bottomless) Trap Hole can get rid of the monster once it was Summoned, while this has to wait for it to use its effect, attack, and all of that before you can kill them. The only thing this has over the traps is that your opponent can't Heavy or blind MST the card before he/she Summons, which still makes them inferior to the originals. newhat
Trap Hole and Bottomless Trap Hole are not just strong because they yield 1 for 1 destruction; they are disruptive. These cards are not particularly disruptive. Bottomless Spell Hole is better than Smashing Ground, but Spell Hole is not as good as Soul Taker. And where as I can see your reasoning for a cost, the entire point of these cards is to be the opposite of Trap Hole. Play before, or play after. Weren't able to set Trap Hole before hand? *draws Spell Hole* Take care of it now! I still see your point though.
Umm... Fair in its own way, without being overpowered. I'd actually prefer they were considered underpowered than over. Thank you for your thoughts.
Disruption is not the main point for these cards. They're more to catch your opponent off-guard, leaving them unable to do much about it. The comparison between the suggested cards is all about timing and decision. Spell Hole can only be used against a monster that was recently summoned. Smashing Ground has a designated target. And though Soul Taker allows any monster of your choice, it comes with a cost. Spell Hole doesn't. Thank you all for the feedback! Obviously not "original" cards, since it's just a recycled effect. [s]Though I'm sure Spell Hole would be used over Trap Hole.[/s] I still appreciate any criticism!
Synchronized
While they're good in theory, they lack the speed and playability that the "Trap" versions of the cards have. After all, there's no guarantee a card like Spell Hole will be useful at all, especially because the opponent could more than likely Synchro/Xyz and get that monster off the field, making it completely useless. The only way I could see it being better than Bottomless Trap Hole and its counterpart, respectively, is if it were a Quick-Play Spell Card, because then you could use it for Hand Trap shenanigans during the Damage Step and whatnot of your own turn.
I know what you mean, it would certainly catch the opponent off-guard if it was a Quick-play. And any counters would be last minute. But the reason I didn't go for such is because the original cards were Normal Trap Cards. I felt it would completely ruin the point if I made them anything but Normal Spells. As for Spell Holes playability, the original is also pretty useless now-in-days, so the fact that its counterpart is just as useless makes sense. And if you think about a deck with both Bottomless Trap and Bottomless Spell Hole, it allows alot more destruction to your opponents field than with just Bottomless Trap Hole alone, right? Synchronized
Fair enough, but in the case of Bottomless Spell Hole, I think I'd much rather use Smashing Ground. I do understand where you're coming from with the purpose behind the design, though.
Love of Ghibli
As stated before in both cases they are not better than their trap counterparts. The only different I will say is that trap hole is actually a nice budget sidedeck card against insectors pr wind-ups. So it still beats spell whole and smashing ground doesn't target (at least I don't think it does) which makes it still better than spell bottomless. Luckily I don't really like these cards, they're more "testing the water" cards than anything. I hope to be able to show my real card-making skills soon enough. :3
Yikes! It seems you've stumbled upon my secret testing grounds. This is where I experiment with codes and ideas. Feel free to take a look around, you might just learn something! Also, Do Not Post Here!
