Remember Flip Effect Monsters are still considered on the field when their effects apply and resolve, that is, immediatelly after Damage Calculation? If I'm not mistaken, after you and your opponent calculate the damage, you'd be given the chance to activate the effect, it'd resolve, THEN tour monster would be sent to the Graveyard.
