I think Kitty was banned for being an ass. Which, in the end, is what pretty much any ban boils down to.

Butyah. If history is defined by the people who are notable within it, we're definitely entering a new epoch of the YCM history. GodKaze and all ye olde cohorts were the first epoch (I came in on the very tail end of that all so don't ask me for details), Kitty and Draco were the second, and now we're in the third. So, now what? O_o

I was never banned for that thing. I just got a hefty warning. :P

We're in a recession - a recession of activity, so to speak, and we are at a crossroads as to how to deal with it. Do we go for the populist approach and promote all posting, regardless of content, or do we go for quality over quantity to attract activity? The third age will be our decisions and their consequences.

How is it just banning someone for being an ass. Have you never been on the internet, or?

Have you? Even the main rules of this site only boil down to that. From memory:

Spamming = being an ass. or just too stupid to realise that you're spamming.
Trolling = being an ass to invoke a reaction.
Flaming = being an ass.
Double accounting etc. = being an ass.
Hacking = being an ass.

Yeah, you get the point. Being 'an ass', although subjective, will usually results in said member breaking a rule at some point. So they get banned.
