Its BEWD + REDMD.

I'd say it's not Metal, just Darkness. But there's really not much difference between those.

Am I the only one who runs into people who think you can use this card's effect, mid-Dark Flare's effect?
Random people who don't know how chains work. SO SILLY.

OT: Honestly, I though this card's art was nothing until I finally took a close look at its head and realized how cool it looked.

Likewise. This card gets a massive boost from the Lightsworn/Future Fusion cores by producing nigh-unblockable plusses. You can't stop them with Rai-Oh, you can't use Crow unless it's preemptive...Like the rest of the Dragon part of the Deck, it's shut down by Imperial Iron Wall.

Darkflare combo does work in the OCG, which'll be the problem.
Explain this Darkflare combo and why it works in the OCG and not in the TCG.

They really do need to synch up the rulings in OCG and TCG, for the sake of any situation where the two could meet.

In the OCG they can choose how their chain resolves.

So they can set Eclipse banishing as CL2 and resolve it, then its return effect as CL1 and return DAD immediately.

In the TCG, CLs are determined by when they're actually achieved, for mandatory effects. So its banishing effect is automatically CL1, whereas its returning effect is CL2. Since nothing is banished when its returning effect resolves, nothing happens then it banishes something.

Wait, really? The wiki says that, if there is no card banished, you can't even activate the returning effect, so you wouldn't be able to place it on the chain at all.

Then again, the wiki was talking about one specific scenario when they usually don't, so I'm not sure if someone was just screwing around in the rulings.

It's not that you can't activate it, it's that it fizzles since there's no target. You still end up banishing something. For all intents and purposes, the wiki is essentially right for the TCG.

If anything, the OCG is the one that's wrong.

But the wikia even lists the Konami OCG FAQ as a source. Does that source say differently?

Is it me or it looks like a watered down version of Light and Darkness Dragon???

A useful card by the way....
and... how is this similar to light and darkness dragon? other than "it has a dark side and a light side, just like light and darkness dragon".

i never got around to playing chaos dragons. or dragons in general. (big rabbit user because of the format.)
so someone tell me... how useful is this?

Well, to put it into perspective... Do you know what DAD does? That should generally sum up how good this is.
It adds Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon as well. That's its primary target, with DAD being #2.
