Lets discuss the implications of this card, and why its at 1? (Do note, I'm sure this has been done before...but I can't find the thread within the first 2 pages and am too lazy to look on the 3rd+ page...)

Can't even figure out why you used Solemn then.

Total waste of a card.

I think that it wasn't a bad choice, considering they wouldn't be able to immediately be rid of Shi En, and otherwise it would be dead weight/could have been negated by another card effect.

Centipede in hand with Hornet in grave.

Having that Judgment set guarantees that going off too.

Yeah, I was just about to edit my post, since I noticed Hornet. Still, saves cards and lets them drop TGU instead this turn, to get rid of the dead weight.

Nice reasoning. Good work.

You're trying to say that he's better off wasting his Judgment, and 4000 LP on something that poses no threat, so he can use TGU to bait out anything he may have to stop him making his Centipede play, than waiting, taking 1100, summoning Centipede and having Judgment to protect it from any backrow his opponent may have, thus getting a 1-for-1 off of Judgment before destroying Shi En and getting a search, or just plain keeping Judgment and getting a search?

It's technically more than a 1-for-1 off of Shi-En, since it takes more than 1 monster to Summon it, and it also gets rid of a boss in a way that keeps it from ever coming back. Not only that, but we don't know what the Set card was. It could have negated the destruction, destroyed Centipede, and left him with pretty much nothing and the same threat on the field.

Anyways, the results speak for themselves. They ragequit, and any move that makes your opponent ragequit is a winning move.

I explained, in detail, how what I said is the best play. Don't pretend you can see a reason for him to have Judgmented, because there wasn't one. Judgment defends his Centi play next turn and he proceeds to 'Zekt his opponent.

One should always evaluate a duel where such a scenario occurs, whether it's a win or a loss. To learn from mistakes actually helps someone as a player. Otherwise you'll always continue that mistake, and it'll make you lose games. ALWAYS acknowledge missplays, they're what help players get better.

I will admit that there were other ways of handling the situation, but what happened more than likely wouldn't have changed the outcome too much, based on the reaction, and having a (mostly) dead hand also makes someone push for advantage early on, as I said, to use up those dead cards without worry. Your way of thinking isn't wrong, I didn't say that, but it doesn't have the be the only way of handling a situation. I wouldn't call it a "misplay" as much as a "premature preparation".

It WAS a missplay. It wasted 4000 Life Points that could have lost him the game. Just because his opponent didn't have anything, doesn't mean he COULDN'T have had anything. This is common f***ing sense.

hey, some people would do anything just to win, kinda like you, right?
i'm not saying that's bad or good, but as long as they win in the end, i don't think it matters how they play (strategy-wise).
