In the right deck, it's useful. Can't say it's the most amazing card in the world, but it can save your skin for sure. Anti-OTK for suicidal OTK decks. You generally mill it to the Graveyard for free, you don't have to Summon or Set monsters for defense, and you can defend the monsters you already have out. Plus it can be chained to Crow and stuff.
