Find someone who can is good at photoediting in PS/gimp/some other program to put in on him with the Forbidden lance in his right hand and Chalice in his left hand just for the lulz.

Anyways, this has 1 thing over Lance. BLS, JD, Grapha, and any other monster that has a targeting/destruction effect from destroying said monster without attacking it. /obv

Issue with this card over Chalice for Monster Effect defense is that when Ryko picks its target, it's too late to activate Shroud.

you forget the last part "Cannot be destroyed by card effects" so even if the monster is targetted it would not be destroyed by ryko as this would resolve 1st in the chain.

Except you would not be able to activate this card after Damage Calculation when Ryko actually activates.

You could activate this card before Damage Calculation (after Ryko is flipped face-up) to protect one of your monsters, though using Chalice to negate Ryko would work best in this situation.

This is incredible. Just obsoletes Lance, which was already amazing.

Lance is better imo. Shroud extends to Monster Effects, but is limited to destruction, which I think is rather limiting for it. In regards to "targeting" if the monster is unaffected, then it wouldn't matter if it targeted, so Shroud only gains an advantage against monsters whose effects target or destroys. This also has nearly zero use to using on an opponent's monster, unlike Forbidden Lance which can stop any of your opponent's beneficial Spell/Trap cards from affecting their own monsters.
