Why not have both a trophy [u]and[/u] the card(s)? Because i believe the winner gets a trophy as well.

Really? Hmm... I never won a major event before. Won a couple local tourneys, but not a big thing. I should start working more on my deck then.

I haven't won a major tourney myself either, however i have seen photos of past major tourney winners with trophies (i.e. YCS winners).

look at it this way: if it was a card that other players CAN use, they'd be complaining and be waiting for its reprint, making the prize less special because it'd be more available in the near future. By making a card that noone can use, it'd be forever special. is that a good enough reason?

ok i get that they are supposed to be special and a prize. BUT WHAT KIND OF DICK MOVE IS IT TO DO A REPRINT WITH 150 COPIES, SO THAT SOME ASSHOLES IN JAPAN CAN SELL THEM FOR 450 DOLLERS ON EBAY?????

Seriously, Konami thinks only about making money and dosen´t give a shit about  the prizes. (Which I can understand, because i don´t see why wolrdchamps should get special cards, if they play the game just for fun. If they don´t then they are not worthy of the title. If Konami really wanted to give them a prize for winning, they should give them prizemoney. But it is of course much cheaper to create afew cards, then paying them money.)

 

And who cares anyway? After some time they will be aviable in some legendary packages for around 35,00- 45,00 $, like the three godcards or other prizecards. Maybe not as rare as the first were, probably with the lettering limited edition or limited replica edition, but the art will be the same. So all in all it´s just a matter of time.
