thekazu4u Posted August 17, 2012 Report Share Posted August 17, 2012 1 Tuner + 1 or more Non-Tuner Monsters When this card is Synchro Summoned: Shuffle both cards in either player's Graveyard into their owner's Decks. Once per turn, when this card attacks or is attacked: You can reveal 1 WIND monster in your hand and have this card gain ATK equal to that card's ATK. If this card is sent to the Graveyard: Return it to the Extra Deck. Its black rose dragon for the graveyards! D: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
patient99 Posted August 17, 2012 Report Share Posted August 17, 2012 This would be banned so fast, it's effectively a toned down version of fiber jar. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
How exactly do you plan on removing all of their cards from their graveyard? Its just impractical. The only reason why it worked with Fiber Jar is because you could get your starting 5 cards back anyway, so you could afford to waste cards like Soul Release. Dr. Cakey Posted August 17, 2012 Report Share Posted August 17, 2012 Don't listen to that guy. I like the card. It doesn't shut down decks nearly as much as you seem to think it does, which is probably wh I like it. Only thing I don't get is the last effect. What's the point? Shinobi Phoenix Posted August 17, 2012 Report Share Posted August 17, 2012 Not sure how it's worse than Necrovalley... I don't even see how they are related. Your card cleans the Graveyard out (it doesn't prevent cards from going in) and Necrovalley prevents interaction with cards already there. It's apples and oranges really. I would just run your card in a Gravekeeper deck in the first place and use both. It's Level 7, so some nice Tuner-3's would have fine synergy with all those Level 4 GK's. Plus, I feel rather certain there is already a Graveyard cleaner in the game, and not just Big Burn. I just can't think of it right now at 2 in the morning. Also: "When this card is Synchro Summoned: Shuffle both cards in either player's Graveyard into their owner's Decks." should be ..."When this card is Synchro Summoned: Shuffle all cards in both players' Graveyards into their respective Decks". Fixed for both proper English and proper game-mechanical wording. The card itself as a whole is neither broken or even close to it and it's actually very normal and fair, especially after 5D's Era. I don't see the relation to Fiber Jar, in that case, any resetter would have been banned and Fiber Jar was banned because it made duels go on too long at the time it was banned, there wasn't a whole long of ways to bring back banished monsters and neither Dimension Fusion or RFTDD would work with that because you could never chain it to keep your monsters and you would have to hope you drew a Dimension Fusion since it wouldn't be in your hand. The card is fine; it would in fact be boring if not for the other 2 effects. EDIT: Actually on second thought, you might want to balance out that ATK-Gaining effect. Even if it is Once per turn, you never set an end period for the ATK gain. In other words, the way you have it worded, it's permanent. So I attack you, you keep revealing the same monster and it gains each turn. You should add "during Damage Step" to that part or "until the End of Battle Phase" or "until the end of that turn". Admittedly, "during Damage Step" weakens it quite a bit since you can just attack it twice it it dies, but having it all the way through Battle Phase means it almost never dies in battle unless you have a rather strong SECOND monster to fight it with. Dr. Cakey Posted August 17, 2012 Report Share Posted August 17, 2012 You're right. The word 'respective' hasn't been used for something like eight or nine years, I think. The correct correct text would probably be:
When this card is Synchro Summoned: Shuffle all cards in the Graveyard into the Deck.
The only problem with that is it could be easy to miss that it clears both Graveyards, so I'd suggest:
When this card is Synchro Summoned: Shuffle all cards in each Graveyard into the Deck.
As for the ATK gain, it seems pretty fair, since the monster begins at 0 ATK. There aren't a lot of big WIND monsters and even fewer useful ones, and it would need to have at least 2000 ATK to survive a turn. Personally, I might suggest giving it a low ATK (somewhere between 1000 and 2000, probably) and then have it only gain half the ATK of the revealed monster.
[background=rgb(251, 253, 254)]This?
