Zeaux
Because machines need more support. Image doesn't really suit the name, but it is the best I could find. 2 Level 4 Machine-Type monsters Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower Machine-Type monster from your Deck. When this card leaves the field: You can target 1 Level 3 or lower "Geargia" monster in your Graveyard; return that target to your hand. That guy is not so different from Gear Gigant X, while X bring the monsters to the hand, this one summon them to the field. Second effect is almost useless, but I had to put it or it wouldn't look like Gear Gigant X.
Strider Tigerwolf
Just because Machines have an absurd "extermination" Spell/Monster (System Down/CyDra+Fusion) doesn't mean they need "generic" support. But a new type of gameplay with them is nice. The only thing I don't like about this card is that it's ubberly easy to summon and its conditions are just insane. Now I can get Cardcar D + an Xyz, Card Trooper mill+draw, Gives Karakuries an new type of engine that could actually work for them, heck even makes morphtronics faster than before! IDK...the design seems "konami"ish.
Exactly what I was trying to do. And they need support not just because of the extermination cards, (or I would make a generic machine card that negate that cards instead), but because they only need a little more speed to be just a little more competitive, not making them broken like those ridiculous meta decks.
No. Do NOT design cards as if you were Konami. Konami makes badly designed cards for the sake of business. You should be designing in an ideal mindset, not a konami mindset. This IS broken. It has par stats for its level and it's a free search from deck to field. Gigant X abuses the hell out of Geargiaccellerator. This abuses the hell out of Geargiarsenal and Geargias in general. Gigant X is bad enough design on it's own, this just adds more stupid options and I'm sure more loops. Not to mention it works with ANY deck that can make it. Free summons from the deck, even if you put things like effect negated or stats become 0, are NEVER good design and are often broken.EDIT: Also, you're not even following the flavor of the name right. The name Gear Gigant X is meant to be pronounced Gear Gigant Cross, in the original version. What does Y stand for/imply?
Zeaux
Well, never thought the X from it was because of its Cross. I agree with all you said, just cannot accept the fact that you think Gear Gigant X is a bad design card, seriously.

The only "good" design to a toolboxable searcher for any machine that's four or lower in decks that have said targets is that it's not a "Geargia". Strider Tigerwolf
I have to agree with Yuzu. Raking up plusses out of nowhere is bad design unless you have a proper restriction to counter said plusses. More so this card can set up for some Crazy Karakuri-Type plays.
