Buster Blader Retrained

Another single from my Dawn of the Brawl set. It's a retrained version of Buster Blader. I always liked the card and it's support [Skilled White Magician, Dark Paladin etc.] but he was always a little too slow for my tastes. Being a Level 7 Warrior with no real way to just drop on the field made him a little too slow for my liking, so I sped him up. I've also added a pretty useful effect that makes him a very good side against Dragon decks. Thoughts?

If your opponent controls 2 or more Dragon-Type monsters, you can Special Summon this monster (from your hand). This card gains 500 ATK for each Dragon-Type monster your opponent controls or is in their Graveyard. At the start of the Damage Step, if this monster battles a Dragon-Type monster: Destroy that monster immediately with this card's effect.

Very interesting. The effect looks balanced.I just think there should be "as" before "Buster Blader" in the card lore.Funny, today i created 5 Dragon slayers too but with a bit higher intention to be able to slay ANY dragon.Would you mind taking a look?Do you thing my Slayers are overpowered or too complicated?

so anti chaos dragon / hieratic user beware your stupid lizards are going down quick fast and in a hurry activate d. tribe ss this gain major atk boost (in this case it would be temp) then auto destory 1 monster

or vs a chaos dragon deck activate dna surgery turn in to something else but they will at least 2 dragons in their grave so +1000

i wanna say OP'ed but it seems balanced as can be destoryed fairy easy and it does not have a eff to prevent its removal or its summon being negated i say slightyl OP'ed

There's a reason why they didnt make it like this. This completely displaces both Buster Blader and he dragon-killing sword thing. since it's both, drop the ATK gain to 200/300<so the original at least has that advantage>. Just saying.

Horrible Logic is Horrible. The reasons he retrained Buster Blader like this is BECAUSE he doesn't see much play. The stats of this monster are decently powerful to make you quake in fear, but the way it conducts battle is quite a different story.

All retrained version of monsters have an advantage over their counterparts [see. Swift Gaia, Comrade Swordsman, Obnoxious Celtic Guard]. If they didn't they'd have no point.

Horrible Logic....well actually this one isn't so horrible, but retrained versions over counter parts doesn't always make them "better".

If he gains that much ATK, the auto-destroying effect actually makes him weaker, because he doesn't deal Battle Damage.

By auto-destroying monsters he lowers the effectiveness of the card mainly because it can easily run over any dragon at the cost of "no damage". This allows Dragon.dek to play over the card while still being a nuisance and provides player-to-player interaction to happen within the game which is a GOOD thing to do.
