Iriq
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card only be Special Summoned from your hand if you control 1 "Relinquished". Select 1 Spell/Trap card on your opponent's side of the field, and equip it to this card (this effect can only be used once per turn and you can only equip 1 card at a time to this card). The ATK and DEF of this card become equal to 100 points higher than the highest ATK on the field. If this card would be destroyed by a card effect, the equipped card is destroyed instead.
Comments?
The Twilight Knight
I really like this card. It does seem a little bit like the average Relinquished, But I still think it's a good idea.
TRUE RULER^(Imper.Di )
make it 100 LESS than the highest ATK, or make it equal to the highest ATK of a monster you control.
Alpakha
Make it the monster with the highest ORIGINAL atk, otherwise relinquish will clear the field and become the highest atker (as he gains atk from equip, since ur probably gonna take strongest monster anyways. But if you do that relinquish 2 will become almost uselss (except for spell/trap removal) since ur opponent will have weak monsters or none at all. p.s. to the guys posting above me, Advanced Clause is active. Anyone can rat you out right now to get points from a certain moderator.
Yubel Mastery
Really like it but it should be equal to the highest ATK monster. Also Relinquished #2 doesn't get the both players take the damage effect like Relinquished has? If this card was really I would definitely run it in my Relinquished deck. Mehmani
Don't listen to them - it's perfectly balanced and has the sort of impetus that casual decks need giving. To place it precariously over the highest ATK means that you are rarely going to do much damage anyway, and battle as a means of victory is becoming less and less important. I think you've got the balance very well here, actually. It is aesthetically pleasing, although a KaTa clause and valid set ID would help it look more realistic. In a dedicated deck, this could do quite well, I think, although I would suggest relaxing the summoning conditions a little.
Captain Murphy ☆
So what would happen if there were two Relinquished #2's on the field? Wouldn't their attacks constantly rise since they have to be stronger than the highest ATK points on the field? I don't know what i just said but anyways this card is nice. I give it a 8/
-Griffin
Fun to Summon with Phantom of Chaos, and Prisma can get it easily if the format unbans restrict (which would be a bad move anyway). Seems fairly balanced. Vulnerable to all removal, albiet destruction requires 2 attempts in most situations. Good card. Fun, counterable boss monster with some interesting interactions. Randomflyingobjects
This card is a really good and (mostly) balanced one, but his ATK should be equal to the highest attack + 100 when he hits the field, and have his ATK stay that way, so the other guy can summon something more powerful. Mehmani
Yes, making the ATK stay at 100+ the highest ATK on the field when it was summoned should lead to no infinite loops.
Sander
Yes, making the ATK stay at 100+ the highest ATK on the field when it was summoned should lead to no infinite loops.
There wouldn't be an infinite loop if you control 2 of these. The ruling for The Wicked Avatar prevents that from happening, "If multiple copies of "The Wicked Avatar" are on the field, their ATKs become 100 + the ATK of the highest monster on the field which is not named "The Wicked Avatar"." Eh, the card is decent I suppose but since the ATK gain is automatic, it pretty much dies to a single BTH if the ATK gets to / or higher than 1500. Plus I don't see why you wouldn't make the S/T you're targeting with this card be unable to be chained to its effect. |:
