I would request that this be moved to the Debates section, as this might cause a debate.

I'd rather have a more constructed OP for a debate.

tbh, my biggest reason for wanting Obama again is because Congressional majority is likely to change. I don't want Romney in there with a Dem majority and we have to go through the same stuff only reversed.

The T in LGBT? Or that's what I heard. (Sorry if I offended you).

LGBT people can have Republican views too. (I don't know if this is the case, but still.)

There are actually a ton of gay Republicans. It's pretty mind-blowing.

The politicians don't give a damn who votes for them, they only play into the "traditional marriage" because the majority of their party thinks that way. But yeah, there are some more wealthy homosexuals that aren't going to vote Democrat just for gay marriage when voting Republican will (they hope) allow them to make more money because of less restrictions on business, which would outweigh any marital benefits.

And not all people who support traditional marriage necessarily "hate" gays, just saying. Homophobia is a serious problem, but it's become something of an overused buzzword.

Yes, I'm transgender.

That's /nothing/ compared to... well, the larger problems of our country. Sure, they could support us all they want, but if they can't support the /country/, then, well, where would we be going?

Considering that Romney has been nothing but a Romney (C wut I did thar) I am totally moving towards Obama.
Romney is a fool and his Vice-President is a lying bigot. Both of them have everything to gain from winning the election and creating another DEM VS REP war in congress. If Obama was elected we will have another Democratically controlled congress and the country can move forward.

The real reason Obama was able to get through his foreign policy which was quite excellent was because Dem's controlled congress so of course he could pass whatever he wanted. However the House of Representatives controls the economic side of things and because they are the party of "No", they refused to let Obama pass any relatively good economic policies for our country and so we criticized his policies when really the incendiary fault lies upon the Rep's themselves for failing to come to an agreement.

Romney used to speak for truth and he used to be one of the most Moderate and intelligent Republicans out there, now all I see is a liar and a bigot who has filled his entire campaign staff with Ex-Bush Administration Officials who promised him the election if they get to be in his cabinet.

If Romney wins, I fear for the safety of the United States of America and the freedoms of all individuals. Mostly this man is by all intents and purposes an idiot.

17? Really?

Hm. Anyways, politics is a silly game sometimes.

Yea, heaven forbid.

And I couldn't disagree with you more. Politics is a serious business. It decides the fate of countries and has the potential to revolutionize or overthrow policies and governments.

Tell that to the old man talking to the chair.

IMO, that is one of the problems with politics is they can loss sight of whats important and just become beating the opponent.

Politics is about beating your enemy in order to have your ideology gain prominence.
And Clint was doing something he felt was funny and something he believed in. I find him an idiot and I disagree but he is doing what he feels is right. It wasn't silly because he gained the laughter of the entire audience. Bill Maher does the same thing as do countless other comedians.

But you should never ignor the other side. Even if you disagree with them not having those other views can only cause trouble. This goes for both the majority and minoirty. Cooperation is everything and I haven't seen much.

Personally, I do not beleive the RNC is the place to make those kinds of jokes. Especially when your going on the same night as the parties nomination. Yes, I can understand wanting to lightening things up after all the serious busniess, but I just think he crossed the line.
