Even if you disagree with them not having those other views can only cause trouble. This goes for both the majority and minoirty. Cooperation is everything and I haven't seen much. Personally, I do not beleive the RNC is the place to make those kinds of jokes. Especially when your going on the same night as the parties nomination. Yes, I can understand wanting to lightening things up after all the serious busniess, but I just think he crossed the line.
The Republicans crossed the line way long before this. The Democrats have attempted cooperation for the past 4 years in a failed attempt to revitalize the Clinton years which the Republicans would not have. Cooperation is dead. It is pointless to cooperate with a party that has done nothing but banter useless rhetoric and lie. The Democrats are not angels exactly but they are a way better alternative than a conglomerate of Conservatives (As if it works anyways), Social Conservatives (Because you are just so important), Libertarians (Because the Constitution is just so damn flawless), and Bush conservatives. I should be praising Clint. He is just bringing them down to insanity one misstep at a time. Conservatism has been proven to never work. This has been seen in the policies of Andrew Jackson, James Monroe, Warren G. Harding, and Ronald Reagan. It just doesn't work. Austerity only works for the individual but it cannot work for a national economy. This is fact. Unfortunately some people seem to treat our economy like a checkbook that needs balancing. Republicans by themselves have been flawed ever since they made the switch from a Liberal party to a Conservative Party

I know the Republicans have been road blocks in Congress for some time now. Its just from what I can tell its gotten worse over the past couple of decades. And while Clint may of been bringing them to a higher level of crazy can be viewed as a good thing by some, you need both parties to be reasonably sane for the system to work. Anyway, thus far in the election, I have seen Clint Eastwood talking to a chair, the republican party disown both Michelle Bachman and Sarah Palin, and endless barrage over Obama not being a natural-born citizen (which I think is a semi-outdated law, but that is another discussion) and also for the failed stimulus, the continuing wars until iirc 2024, a war against Ron Paul supporters, political pundits making idiots out of themselves, an RNC that could have been run better by monkeys, yet another surprise Republican candidate that seemed to be chosen more for sex appeal than anything else, Obama go on Reddit, and an entire country of people who worry more about how high gas prices and medicare will go no matter who gets elected. I just happen to despise current political parties, because their agendas are more important than serving their fellow man. So, no matter who wins, everyone else loses.
I agree.
a war against Ron Paul supporters,
Yea right. Paulites have a tendency to be both idiots and over reactive nutjobs. Their misguided belief in ultimate freedom is nothing but a fantasy and a selfish belief. Ron Paul and his son are two of the most idiotic politicians since Herbert Hoover. Ron Paul would get rid of everything that has kept safety for the people of the United States, for instance the Americans with Disabilities Act which has helped people with disabilities gain jobs for the past 20 years. The Federal Aviation Authority which has made flying 70% safer since its enactment. Homeland Security which is responsible for protecting use from attacks within our own country. The FBI which is responsible for stamping out crime's of high importance within the US. He wants to allow his citizens to drink Raw Milk, which not only makes no sense but had nothing to do with this campaign especially since getting rid of the ban would endanger the health of many Americans. He wants to get rid of Abortion. Paulites don't pay attention to anything when it comes to the policies of Paul himself. All they want is "Freedom". They have enough damn freedom as it is, the problem with Paulites is is that is not really what they want. They only want "Choice". Paul supporters want the ability to whatever they want, whenever they want without being told "No". They couldn't care less what the choice is for whether it be the economy or whether to ear clothes outside or not as long as they get to choose. Ron Paul wrote racist newsletters in the 90's which, despite him saying he never wrote them, were publicly endorsed by Paul and claimed to have been written by him. He feels that the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was a folly. I have nothing to support Ron Paul for and I have absolutely no respect for a person who honestly believes this country would be better off because you get to choose whether to hire a person or not based on race, religion, or disability. I disagree with any man who says that schools should teach Intelligent Design in schools. The Libertarian belief is flawed and riddled with the same Constitution loving rhetoric that has dominated their beliefs for the past 10 years. They fail to understand why America progresses the way it does and why we make edits to the Constitution.
and an entire country of people who worry more about how high gas prices and medicare will go no matter who gets elected.
There is a reason why we worry about Gas Prices and Medicare. Mostly because it IS an important subject. Our country is addicted to fossil fuels and if we are unable to pay for it , the transportation industry could collapse in the US. Saving their fellow man? You mean like... The PPACA which is responsible for increasing the Medicare eligibility rate up for 133% of those below the Poverty level? The Assassination of numerous Terrorist leaders including Osama Bin Laden? The end of the Iraq War? Oh they definitely don't care for us, they are too busy with their agendas about helping College grads pay off their debt's and lowering the cost of Social Security. Despicable right? The only people who have to lose with Obama getting reelected is no one.
FTW (For The Wynn)
@Comrade, near the beginning of the year. At least for Michelle Bachmann. They have been trying to pretend Palin doesn't exist for awhile now. Was she even invited to the RNC? @Tentacle, I said the war against Ron Paul supporters because of something Huckabee said. Huckabee has been an antagonist to him for quite awhile, and has been doing his utmost to get people to stop supporting Ron Paul. As for my last part, it was to demonstrate what issues we (as a people) find more important. You'll note that such hot topics are rarely covered with detail. Oh, and speaking of gas prices, I remember seeing something about $10/gallon gas prices as part of a protest or something. If I feel like searching for it, I may post a link later. FTW (For The Wynn)
The theory of evolution still has a lot of gaps. And therefore, it has a lot of opposition. That's why people don't want it covered. As for my opinion, I figure that people should be allowed to learn all about evolution and religious views. And Science and Religion have no choice but to clash, both belief system's have way to many beliefs that contradict the opposers beliefs. It is impossible for them not to clash. Religion belongs in the Churches and Science belongs in the schools, that is that. We have a Separation of Church and State for a reason.
