Love of Ghibli
So I've been racking my mind on how to make an agent build that would not truly require the aid of TGU. Since I am a die hard fairy user I was trying to figure how to progress in this format and the answer came in the form of Lightrays (and somebody else thread). http://i.imgur.com/AjfyI.png Monsters: 3 Master Hyperion 3 Lightray Sorcerer 3 Nova Summoner 3 Agent of Creation Venus 3 Dimensional Alchemist 3 Mystic Shine Balls 2 Marshmallon 2 Herald of Orange Light 2 Agent of Mystery Earth 2 Archlord Krystia 1 Agent of Miracles Jupiter Spells 3 Cards from the Sky 2 Gold Sarc 2 Pot of Duality 2 Mystical Space Typhoon 1 Heavy Storm 1 Mind Control 1 Creature Swap So far the deck is testing very well. As I theorized it halts the Geargia onslaught very well and shifting the power to me. So there was a madoor in here but...no one likes madoor. I was advised to drop cards from the sky to 1 but I don't know how I feel about that. Any thoughts.
Aerion Brightflame
No dark hole? Otherwise... I don't really understand Agents. Except to say, -1 Gachi +1 Black Mist.
Love of Ghibli
I r retarded and yeah we have to neg one gachi for something....Though Black mist is always a good option I think I need another rank three. I have mind controlling a level 3 and only option is leviair. I think I'll just add the D. Hole and make it 41.
Not-so-Radiant Arin
If you wanted to lean more towards the competitive side, you need to scrap this thing apart entirely and start off fresh again. Lightrays (at least with the amount of testing that I've done) tend to be inconsistent, dead draw a lot (especially Sorcerer)and many times, your opponent will have an out anyway with either a Bottomless or Solemn. Speaking of which, why are you not running the Solemn Brigade? I don't care if you don't have Deck space, make some. You only need 2 Shine Balls, really. Black Mist isn't really that great when you can potentially have a 3200 Scrap Dragon run everything over. Since you're taking the RFG Engine, Cards from the Sky isn't really necessary now, and instead, replace them with some Miraculous Descents (running 2 at the moment). Since you want to kill off your opponent as fast as possible, I'd advise a third MST. Drop the Dimensional Alchemists for the Solemn Brigade like I said. Ally of Justice Decisive Armor is bad. Replace that with Scrappy. In fact, also replace Avenging Knight Parshaath with a Scrappy, too. If you're running Lance in the side, you need at least 2. Same with Chalice. It really does win games. Why no Maxx "C" in the side? Of course, if this is all for casual play, then by all means ignore what I've just wrote that took almost a half hour to type up after careful analyzation. [s]Ungrateful bastard.[/s] [/quote] Its meant to be competitive...so I guess I'm not ungrateful. Anywho In terms of scrapping the thing entirely...I guess no, don't know of a nicer way to say that. Any other competitive agent build is really just Agents being used as an engine for something else. Whether its T.G. Agents or simply Chaos Agents you're really not playing Agents you just some decent light monsters so you can just drop your should be banned BLS, and lets not forget your annoying TGU. Agents in those are simply Hyperion and friends I find it annoying and distasteful actually. Solemn: Because I have never been in a situation where a solemn would have been perfect (Well maybe judgement) if anything they would be the only three traps in here meaning they would be pure mystical bait. Lightray Dead draws: I will not say that in your testing they have not been inconsistent. Its just that in mine they haven't I have 8 removal cards currently if you include Hyperion and Jupiter thats 12 they hit the field pretty consistently and if my opponent does have outs (which usually tend to be save for Hyperion the second they see and agent being played) for sorcerer then that's one less out for the other bosses (especially against bth where you could use one sorcerer to recycle the other) Shine Balls: I've thought about that and tested shine balls at two. The second I draw one is the second I need to punch a baby. It throws off the flow totally. While at 3 drawing one can still serve as herald fodder, creature swap bait, cards from the sky fodder, etc. MST: Yeah I should find room for that. Decisive Armor/Parshath: I like decisive armor no one sees him coming so you rarely are prepared to deal with him especially if he just sits there. Avenging is my option for when I side in Gozen and/or rivalry I would still like to be able to synchro for something that isn't wyvern. But I guess testing a scrap dragon isn't to bad. Lance: Yep that is right that will be changed though I can't see chalice (I can just don't know how yet) I'd still have to set it to be relatively useful. Maxx "C": because outside of the photon strike bouncer this completely IRL so I didn't want to throw all the fictional options at my disposal in there (hence the magical android and not Catastor, though I do like her better than catastor.) But thanks for the advice changes shall be made soon.
