Killing Doll - Set Preview [Toyo-set Preview]

[center]The idea from this set comes from that of Cardfight Vanguard's Dark Irregulars. (E.G: Their Effect Monsters can add overlay units a la Dark Irregulars gaining Souls.)[/center]
[center]Their level 3 and higher effect Monsters all share the effect "When this card is Normal Summoned: You can Equip 1 "Killing Doll" Monster in your Graveyard to this card OR attach 1 Monster in your Graveyard to this card as Xyz Material." I'm not sure if the game mechanics allow this, so this is why I previewed this set before posting the whole lot. To check if their gimmicks can work in the game.[/center]

The set looks good and I'll be looking forward to its debut, buuuuut, I have a problem with it. Why would you ever want to use up a valuable spell/trap zone and risk the support card being destroyed, when you can just attach it as Xyz material? The answer is, unless your archetype somehow provides benefits to monsters equipped with instead of overlayed with Killing Doll support monsters, you wouldn't. Xyz materials cannot be destroyed by the myriad spell/trap destroyers in the meta, and equip cards can. Just one little thing I'd like to point out.

Now, my review for each individual card, so far:
1. Mary has a decent design. It has a double-attack effect for detaching a material, like blade ninja. However, it has some aspects that set it apart from blade ninja:
*It can't be rabbit'd, which is good.
*Its Atk is pretty strong for a Rank 4 with such a lethal effect.
*It can, in addition to its double-attack, (potentially) deal a nice package of direct damage to your opponent.
I'd recommend that you make it exclusive to Killing Dolls to prevent it from being spammed in any meta deck that pumps out rank 4s.
2. Soul Harvest is a bit too strong... It dodges bottomless and accumulates materials for Mephisto, all while being impervious to card effects and with a sizable defense. I'd cut out the invincible to effects clause.
3. Tortued Soul is awesome! A sweet body for the deck! I'll be looking forward to how the other Killing Dolls use it when your set comes out!
4. Mephisto is an amazing boss monster for the deck, given its devastating effect and its summoning conditions.
5. Collector is a nicer, balanced searcher for the deck to bring out Tortured Soul or another Killing Doll.

So far, it looks pretty good! I'll definitely check out the finished set when you release it.
