Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
It doesn't matter how much thought goes into siding if the original deck's concept plays like it does.
Well, like I said, that's just where the main interaction begins. Really, this sort of thread could be (for the most part) used as the argument for a lot of alternative decks, and not just Final Countdown and Exodia. Mostly things like burn, Dragon Master Knight OTK, and lockdown decks save for Horus lockdown. At the end of the day, it's not competitive anyhow, so as long as it stays just for fun, it can't do any harm.
Well, for one, I don't think you know what Dragon Master Knight OTK is if you think it's not comparable. The players even say "You're basically playing Exodia, but getting 'Dragon Master Knight pieces' instead of Exodia". Do you think you actually attack with/make anything else in the deck? In that case, the only way it's different is you can use Battle Fader to not lose. Much different? Activating cards once and attacking once for your combo and in all other occasions acting exactly the same as Exodia doesn't make it sound all that different. Agro
The opponent has Solemn Judgment or Starlight Road or Battle Fader or Swift Scarecrow. There are infinitely more ways to counter that deck than there are for Exodia.

Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
The opponent has Solemn Judgment or Starlight Road or Battle Fader or Swift Scarecrow. There are infinitely more ways to counter that deck than there are for Exodia.
You can activate Solemn Judgment against an Exodia deck, so that's a moot point. You can also infinitely counter the other cards in the deck, since you don't literally just sit there. You just don't use conventional cards already used in a lot of decks. Is it Exodia's fault nobody runs the other cards? You might make the argument that "it would only be for exodia", but a lot of those same cards could be used to counter decks already in the Meta. Droll and Lock Bird, for example. Magic Drain doesn't directly solve problems all the time, but it still accomplishes something against the deck. Heavy Storm stops stall, Decree, Simorgh, etc etc. You can use all of these cards, people just don't. I can still end up winning, but you can also still end up winning from drawing the right card anyways. And for Trap Stun, there isn't anything to do about that. Solemn is the only bet, and if you do get negated, guess what? You're just playing Exodia again until you can make the drop. It's as simple as that. If you do end up getting a card dropped on you to stop you from attacking, you can also just attack again the next turn, or start all over again, falling back on "exodia strategy". So the only interaction here is comparable to end phase MST--You stall the process, but it's just going to happen or not happen sooner or later. EDIT: Aaaaaaaaaaanyways, none of that matters when we go back to the point that many of the same arguments in the opening post can be made for the mentioned decks. The problem with consistency over time, how your entire deck can be crippled with a series of cards, having the same types of cards draw up as dead, and quite simply dead hands that you can't ever use to accomplish anything but the win itself with, even to use to work toward your goal. I guess countdown doesn't the problem with over time losing consistency, unless you count drawing multiple Countdowns.
