HellIsForOtherPeople
Hello again. My last set of cards was considered overpowered and ill thought out. Henceforth, I spent a little more time and discretion constructing this pairing, although I am not entirely certain as to how powerful they would really be in-game. As ever, comments and constructive elements of criticism are appreciated: improvement is only possible through, as Edison said, 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration. Supertramp
I think the first is well balanced, but the second is pretty overpowered in my opinion. Maybe only half of its ATK.
VictorSempra
I agree with Supertramp. Stick to that "half" portion, you'll be good.
HellIsForOtherPeople
So, this would be a better alternative to its previous format, I take it? gimmepie
You guys need to reed the advanced clause... But you can get away with it right now cause you have less than 100 posts. Unholy: The effect is pretty good but it is a trap card and likely will not last long enough for it's effect to activate. In order for it to be more effective it should be a spell written something like 'Until the end-phase of this turn, when a monster you control inflicts battle damage on your opponents life points: You gain life points equal to half of the damage inflicted.' That would improve it a fair amount. Suffusion: This one has a similar problem. It's a continuous spell so it's will probably get hit by Heavy or MST before you can use its effect. This one should be a trap if you want it to be effective as it relies on your opponent destroying your monsters. Try something like this 'Activate this card during your opponents battle phase. As long as this card remains face-up on the field, every time an opponents carddestroys a monster you control: Banish that monster and gain life points equal to half it's ATK'. I'm divided on this one. It has the advantage of working when ever a monster is destroyed as opposed to when your opponent declares an attack over draining shield, but requires you banish your own monster, and from banishing your own monster you gain half it's attack? Draining Shield negates an attack from your opponent and then you gain the attack points of your opponents monster. So really, despite your card applying to more situations, Draining Shield outclasses it (and draining shield is outclassed by the less passive traps). Over all your cards a pretty balanced but just aren't that useful. Keep at it though.
Shinobi Phoenix
I like how people here JUST had a conversation about cards that ONLY give LP being useless in this game, yet here we are telling someone to nerf his otherwise fine card? A: Referring to the second card, I'm fairly sure that card exist in the game alraedy in one form or another (probably with a set number, but that in itself makes it more reliable). EDIT: Yes, right... I have seen this at least once. In that case, it's a Common for a Structure Deck, so it's not supposed to be awesome. I know I've seen it beyond that too. B: There is REALLY no need to nerf the card. Full ATK is fine, especially when pumped numbers don't count (since you have to count the ATK when in the Graveyard as in original ATK and if you were letting a bunch of your monsters with large ATK numbers die so regularly for this card to be useful to you for that long, you might want to reconsider your playstyle anyway. Also, this card like many others won't stay on the field long enough for it to be much of any issue even if it was going to be an issue at all. I say put it back to what it was and keep it. AGATHODAIMON BANGTAIL COW
Unholy Succor: It's Sebek's Blessing. This lets you activate on normal damage, but it is hideously slow. You normally won't inflict a ton of damage in a non-direct attack, so the fact that Sebek's Blessing is a Quick-play makes it much better. It can be turned into a Quick-play Spell and made to grant you HP equal to twice the amount of damage your opponent takes. At the worst, BLS's swing will grant you 6k life points, but seeing as this is just going to give you life points, I'm perfectly fine with this. Suffusion: In addition to being nothing more than a healing card, this is also very vulnerable to being stopped before it can do something significant. In Decks that want to gain life points in the first place, monsters with high ATK values aren't very common, so this won't get much healing done. Personally, I think you can let it heal without banishing the target. You can also give it a secondary effect that is beneficial to you if your life points are higher than you're opponents (or above a predetermined value) to make this worth MST'ing in the first place.
