Love of Ghibli
What is Tragoedia's purpose? Everyone seems to think he is necessary and I for one just can't see it. Also not understanding the old vindictive magician especially if there is no Chaos sorcerer. Nevertheless how did you fare with this?

Old Vindictive is an out to Rai-Oh that Apprentice can recruit. All in all, the deck functions very, very consistently. I just had some very bad luck today at YCS. byak
Playing Decree over Compulse when you have Life/Wisdom/Priestess/(Breaker which you should be playing) to play through backrows is wrong. The Apprentice engine is too susceptible to dumb stuff.

The Apprentice engine is too susceptible to dumb stuff.
I tested Breaker (a lot) and found it bad. Never needed it, and I need the space for other stuff. Decree was way too useful for me to turn aside, I never had a game where it was dead. Apprentice engine is both a way of running 2 extra searchers and a way of killing Rai-Oh. I haven't encountered any "dumb stuff" yet, so I have no idea what you mean by that, nor do you seem to have anything to back up that statement. I posted this because you wanted to see the build, byak. Not because I wanted fixes, since this is already about the most consistent build I've found, after five months of testing. newhat
So the Main Deck is perfect and nothing will change, then... Hum de dum. ...Side some Soul Drains for Atlanteans?

Hum de dum. ...Side some Soul Drains for Atlanteans?
I never said it was perfect/nothing would change. I only said my reason for posting the deck here originally and gave counter-arguments to byak's points, pulling evidence from my own playtesting. As for Soul Drain, I don't find Atlanteans to be too difficult a matchup, and it hurts a lot of my own deck as well. I suppose I could give it a spin, though not sure what I'd take out. Love of Ghibli
So question does Temperance have to witness a spellbook being played in order for her effect to go off. Also why the D-Prisons and not system downs. Its seems that machines would be pretty prevalent force to deal with.

So long as you have played one at any time during your turn, you can tribute it. D-Prison is a secondary out to Rai-Oh. Machines aren't actually that hard of a matchup, due to all the control elements of the deck.
Love of Ghibli
Okay yeah I have to figure out an exemplar turbo build lol What is this going to look like when you sepher, reaper, and fool are released?
I feel that Fool and Reaper are better off in their own builds, utilizing Destroyer as well for Rank 6 plays. Once Sepher is released, I'll probably drop the one Justice, and run 41 cards (+2 Sepher to main).
Partially; Book is one of the best utility cards in the game. It makes problem monsters more vulnerable, and it can also recycle Spellbook Magician if I don't have Tsukuyomi to do that, or if I want another search. I don't see why people keep saying that Book isn't a staple anymore. It's an overall great card that has a load of utility and is basically a huge swiss-army-knife of a card.
