Tribute 1 WATER monster you control; As long as this card remains on the field: You can add 1 Level 4 or lower Sea-Serpent, Aqua, or Fish-Type monster from your Deck to your hand during your Standby Phase. When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard: Special Summon up to 2 Level 4 or lower WATER Sea-Serpent, Fish, or Aqua-Type monsters from your Graveyard.
So, it's basically a free +1 when sent to the Graveyard via MST, Night Beam, etc., and it continues to be a +1 for each turn that it is on the field, except for the turn it is activated, which is a -1. But still, I suppose it can be some kind of main for Mermanteans, especially with all of the free searching.

What have you done?!?! Mermanteans are already meta, they don't need a broken toy like this to propel them to tier 0. The cost may slow this card down a bit, but after that you're continuously adding exactly what you need, when you need it. Diva, Linde, Undine, Spike, any Atlantean, are all food for this card. And here's the thing about mermanteans: they make explosive 2-card combos with extreme ease. So you're setting up a potential OTK with this every freaking turn. Not to mention the fact that mermanteans already have extreme search power as it is: the deck is their toolbox to be abused. Then, on top of that, should your opponent MST it, you can resurrect materials for Gungnir, Dragon of the Broken Barrier and Ally of Sackiness Catastor AND reuse Spike's somewhat broken effect.

Fixes: Remove the special summon 2 from grave effect completely. Change the search effect to "During your draw phase, instead if conducting your normal draw, you can add 1 level 4 or lower <blah blah blah> monster from your deck to your hand". Now its a +0 that still gives you your combo pieces. At this point, you can remove the activation cost completely.
