I'll be here from time to time, dropping singles, cracking terrible jokes that can make a comedian die due to how bad it is and having a good time. Mostly having a good time. Anyway, for my next card there'll be nothing fancy. No ultra complicated trigger effect, no blindingly long effect that can be shortened, it's just going to be what I do best. Borderline OP'd Xyzs like I used to make. During either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; Change the battle position of all other Monsters on the field and they lose 500 ATK until the End Phase. Once per turn: You can Discard 1 card; Destroy all other Monsters on the field with less ATK than this card. Miror B Posted December 3, 2012 Report Share Posted December 3, 2012 Here's my issue. I don't know if you're caught up, but Fire Fists make this relatively easy. So the restrictions just pretty much make sure Summoner Monk can't grab it. Now then, you gave it an unrestricted effect to have everything else lose 500 attack, so that's 1000 ATK off the bat. Not so bad. But wait, you also gave it a Dark Hole by discard...Because I can't think of any commonly run monster with 3200 ATK (which is the lowest possible ATK to NOT get nuked by it since you can decrease everything by 1000 anyway. My solution: Make it a once per turn choice effect. So you can either decrease all other monsters by 500 atk or use the nuke. Slows it down but prevents summon then nuke. It's actually rather lackluster and I couldn't see much of an ideal use for it. The Quick Effect (meaning you can use it during either player's turn) is average at best, and functions as nothing more than a Zero Gravity of sorts, but a little faster. Decreasing by 500 ATK is nothing Fairy King Albverdich can't do, and Fairy King's arguably easier to bring out given that spamming EARTH monsters is far simpler than spamming FIRE monsters. When it comes to Battle Position changing, Photon Papilloperative does the job better by being generic, meaning that you don't have to dedicate Deck space to it; you just use it if necessary. The ATK decreasing is not a big problem at all, and it doesn't really make it that much more of a threat; it's still incredibly easy to play around. The destruction effect is somewhat powerful, sure. But tell me when you'd ideally use it without it being extremely situational. It's like a Thunder Giant-style effect, of course easier to Summon but still. To balance it, I guess you could make it so you have to detach a material to use the destruction effect, too; that solves all of your problems but it doesn't make the card any better. In theory the effect might be "OP'd", but the card wouldn't see any play. It's slow and outclassed. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Anyways, on to the card: Toyo, whathaveyoudone,jpeg The fact that it's a quick effect and that it changes battle positions is pretty much irrelevant: maestroke can do that, too, and the ATK decrease is, as Neo has said, comparable to Albdverich. This card won't be played for the stun-esque effect. What I don't like about the card is that it is a Dark Hole on summon. This card is hardly situational: pumping out 2 level 4 fire monsters is extremely easy with firestars and rabbit, and it's a field nuke for an extremely low price. What I'd do to this card is making it so that you can detach 1 mat to destroy all monsters with lower ATK and then make it unable to attack during that turn, but that's just my opinion. I'd rather kill everything than kill 1 card. In my firestars build, I usually Xyz into soko, get my tenki or tensu, then revive a monster with wolfberk for another Xyz. Replace Soko with this card. Not only that if you have other monsters out you use this guy's ATK reduction effect, then Xyz/Synchro into something with more than 2200 ATK (Not hard to do) then nuke.Not to mention Judgment Dragon hits your own cards and is utterly rediculous.
