DL
Yeah, let's do one with text. By far, not perfect, but was also experimenting with a few new brushes I downloaded.
Tormented
I think one of the concerns is the fact that you seem to have a little difficulty making the render flow with the rest of the image, also the BG seems a little LQ. Also text should be avoided at all costs until you've sorted out the rest of the things (js)
Simping For Hina
Just a tip. Stay away from text for sometime until you got the basics down. It will be too much to focus on it for right now and distracts you from the main concept that you want to get across a lot.

Tormented
Background, Midground and Foreground. Place all your Backgroundesque fractals/etc at the back. In the Midground (Which is in between the Background Image and the render) place all ones which kind of bring together the BG and the render here. And for the Foreground place things in front of the render, helps with the overall feel of layering and depth.
DL
I think I get it, actually Not exactly sure what are fractals, but overall, I get that I need to put stuff in front of the render to make it look more flowy with the image (not just random stuff, obv o3o) and the midground is the point of focus, when trying to bring the render and background together ...I think Thanks =D
.Rai
First priority is lighting, I think. Once you hit the basics of lighting, everything else follows on naturally. Unless the background is being lit from within, it should be predominantly dark. If it's light, that means the render should have lighting emanating from the back. My first tip for beginners is usually to stay towards dark backgrounds. Browse through here and click on stuff to read up on tagmaking: http://browse.deviantart.com/?q=tag+tutorial For fractals (download some packs; when using them, paste them in. They'll have a black background, so put it onto a layer mode like Screen): http://browse.deviantart.com/?q=fractal+pack C4Ds (stay away from them now, but they're a good way to fill background, and foreground): http://browse.deviantart.com/?q=C4D+pack
